My toddler is obsessed with dinosaurs, which is one of the reasons I chose this book for his potential bookshelf. The concept is really cute and also teaches children proper terminology and facts about dinosaurs while also giving a colorful background amidst the chaos of the school library. This is definitely a book I'll want to add to my son's shelf when it releases.

This is the perfect book for young Dino lovers! The ended in adorable, and I think everyone wishes they had a teacher like Mrs. Barker!

We have read this book several times and keep coming back to it! The kids love the dinosaurs and the vibrant colors on each page. The author did a great job including popular dinosaurs as well some not as well known ones. I hope Mrs. Barker’s class takes some more trips! A pronunciation guide at the end would be great!

This falls in my top 3 of favorite kids books I have read. My son absolutely LOVED this book and kept asking for me to read it again. The illustrations were gorgeous! The story was interesting and full of fantasy. It was a great way to teach kids that reading can take them places in their minds like nothing else.

A silly book about a class going to the library and dinosaurs coming out of the book. A fun little fantasy for little kids, and I love that it sparks an interest in them of the magic books can be

THERE ARE DINOSAURS IN THE LIBRARY by A.G. ALLEN and illustrated by OCTAVIO CORDOVA is an illustrated book geared towards children around the ages of 4-10. The story follows an elementary school third grade teacher, Mrs. Barker, and the shenanigans her class gets into when their visit to the library becomes a scene from Jurassic Park. The book is both fun and educational with it's inclusion of beautiful illustrations, fantastical events, some counting, and science. Each of these elements are nicely balanced where neither feels like too much or lacking. TADITL is a great quick read for helping make children enthusiastic about both dinosaurs and visiting their library.

A big thank you to @netgalley and the author for my copy of the book in exchange for an honest review.

Synopsis: "There Are Dinosaurs in the Library! is a richly illustrated picture book for children ages 4 to 10. In the book, Mrs. Barker wants to take her third-grade class to the library. When her student Alyssa objects, Mrs. Barker whispers to her, "There are dinosaurs in the library." Boy, are Alyssa and the rest of the class surprised (and a little frightened) when the library transforms into a Jurassic playground."

This book was too cute. I had to pick it up because of my nephew's obsession and lo e of dinosaurs and I'm so glad I did! Not only does this have beautiful illustrations and easy to understand writing, but could easily encourage a love of learning AND a love of the library. 🥰
If you have Littles or just a love of the library, keep this one on your radar and pick it up in September!

I'm not sure why there are so many random words in bold font, and I know it's not a huge deal in the big picture, but I'm not a fan. The story is okay, but it's not something I would want to read again. The pictures are bright and colorful. 2.5 stars

What a delight this book is. Short and easy to read in one sitting. It has humour, is colourful and the illustrations are interesting and inclusive. The book is educational without rubbing the fact in your face, opportunity is there for counting and fact learning. It also makes the library sound like an exciting place to visit.

Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for providing me with an Advance Reader's Copy in exchange for an honest, unbiased review.

'There Are Dinosaurs in the Library' is a fun children's book! I liked how Mrs. Barker encouraged and included Alyssa even though she was skeptical/disinterested at first. The art was incredibly well done and I really enjoyed the creativity in the text placement among the illustrations. The story was very creative, well-paced, and cute. And I adore the endpapers of the doodles!

This book was absolutely adorable. The artwork was cute and simple but fun and it was even a bit educational!

When a little girl says she doesn't like the Library her teachers tells her there are dinosaurs and proves it. This book has the scientifically accurate name of several dinosaurs and plenty of fun!

My 3 year old is really into the Dinosaur phase right now. She loved that there were a bunch of dinosaurs she already knew the names of and a few new ones to spot as well!
The graphics in this book are so bright and kept her attention perfectly! She was so excited to find the Dinos in the pictures as well. A great book!
Thank you for the ARC opportunity 💖

This is a very cute book teaching children the magic that is reading. The illustrations are beautifully done fit the story perfectly! I can imagine this being a very popular read.

I loved the graphics!! It was hard to read as an ebook though, the setting of the book wasn't correct. Loved the message of the book though, and how it convinces children to read from an early age.

As an elementary school librarian I’m always looking for good picture books to introduce kids to the library. If you are looking for a book to talk about subjects coming alive for readers, then this may work. I think young readers may enjoy this book, but I don’t see myself using it as a read aloud.

This book is adorable! I want this book for my own collection as well as for the children’s room. It will be such a hit!

Short and sweet story about the magic of reading. My four year old really enjoyed it! I thought the pictures were very charming and my only frustration was that the included dinosaurs were mostly ones I couldn’t pronounce. Gotta study up.

This cute storybook is a great way to introduce children to the wonders of reading, much as the teacher in the story does for the skeptical Alyssa. Reading truly is full of magic and wonder, as she soon discovers. The illustrations by Octavio Cordova fit perfectly with the story and provide some extra fun for little readers.

Thank you to author A.G. Allen, illustrator Octavio Cordova, AllenED, and NetGalley for providing this ARC for review consideration. All opinions expressed are my own.
