When I first heard about this book it sounded amazing and I was really excited when I got this arc but unfortunately I didn’t enjoy it as much as I’d hoped.

My main issues with it were the insta-love trope and how sloooow it was, which might seem contradictory but the struggle was real. I had such a hard time getting into this book and getting invested into the characters and their relationship. Because everything happened in the span of about a week, you can imagine how slow it was.

Ultimately, not the book for me :(

2.5/5 stars

A big thank you to the publisher and Netgalley for sending me an arc in exchange for an honest review.

This was a cute book even though the premise isn’t super original. This is done well though and I do really appreciate Presley’s character growth and all that she overcomes. The love story is swoon-worthy. I’d recommend this one.

I could see others enjoying this book, but it just wasn’t for me.
It had some cute elements - found family, a sweet community.

If this hadn’t been an arc it would have been a DNF for me, but I try to push through arcs.

I couldn’t connect with Presley or Beckett at all. I also struggled with the dual 3rd person POV - I was often mixed up as to whose point of view we were in.

I did like the community, the other guests, and Beckett’s family.

I tandem read this audio & ebook, and found the narrator had Presley’s character irritate me more.

Tropes + topics:

This is my fault for requesting a book based on cover and not realizing this is an author I have historically not enjoyed. This was cute but repetitive and pretty cliched even for a romance. Again, my fault.

The premise of this book is cute, but it didn't work in the execution for me. The insta-love is very very strong, and for someone just getting out of an 8 month relationship, felt weird. The timeline felt very condensed, and while there are "events/activities" there isn't too much of a plot. The side characters, however, were very cute and added much fun to the overall story. Beckett seemed much more realistic and well-rounded of a character in comparison to Presley. I also wish the world-building had been a bit stronger, as unfortunately I didn't feel transported to the island and didn't really ever get into the mood of the story. If you like an easy, quick to fall in love romance with great side characters, you may enjoy this. Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the opportunity to provide my honest review.

Cute rom-com. I've read only one other Sophie Sullivan book and I do enjoy the slow build friends to lovers aspect. This is perfect for those looking for a light hearted romance read!

In solidarity with the SMP Boycott I will be withholding my review for this title until SMP acts on the following:

1. Address and denounce the Islamophobic and racist remarks from their employee.
2. Offer tangible steps for how they are going to mitigate the harm this employee caused.
3. Address how, moving forward, they will support and protect their Muslim, Arab, and Palestinian influencers, authors and readers, in addition to supporting their BIPOC influencers, authors, and readers.

This is not a reflection of the author personally, nor is it a call to boycott buying this particular book. The provided star rating is a reflection of how much I enjoyed the book.

Love, Naturally is the fourth title I’ve read by Sophie Sullivan and I swear her books never disappoint! Like ever!
An endearing opposites-attract romance that took me on an amazing adventure.
The plot kept me so engaged and enamored in the story. I thought the writing was so fun. I love a good romance book and this one came through!
It was excellently written with good characters.
I loved the chemistry between Presley and Beckett and I can't get them out of my head! I especially loved how realistic they were. Their romance is sweet and swoony and moves at just the right pace.
Sullivan has such a way of immersing her readers in her stories, making her characters relatable and every emotion tangible.
This one was lighthearted and kept me so engaged.
I will definitely read everything Sophie Sullivan writes.

Thank You NetGalley and St. Martin's Press for your generosity and gifting me a copy of this amazing eARC!

#LoveNaturally⁣

Thank you @smpromance and @macmillan.audio for my gifted copy!⁣

“No matter how much you plan, things happen. You roll with it, you adjust, and sometimes the thing that knocked you down is the thing that wakes you up. What you think might be the worst moment in your life can show you exactly what you were missing.”⁣

Love, Naturally was such a fun closed door romance. It was such a sweet read, that I couldn’t help but cheer for Presley & Beckett. Presley is an influencer who goes to take her BF on a surprise trip, and ends up with a breakup. Determined to see the trip through, she goes to small town Smile, and ends up falling for Beckett, part of the family that owns the lodging. He’s a simple, laid back “sexy mountain man” and she’s a city girl. Can they make it work?⁣

Audio was great! There is a single reader, Julie Rogers, and I really enjoyed the pacing and tone. It was one where the audio definitely took over and I found myself wanting to listen instead of read.⁣

The third act breakup was annoying. Y’all know that makes or breaks a book for me, and it definitely lost a star. The redemption was so cute, but the breakup was not fun for me.⁣

If you love the following, you’ll adore Love, Naturally: ⁣

🚲 Opposites Attract⁣
🚲 Instalove⁣
🚲 Rustic Getaway ⁣
🚲 Small Town w/adorable townspeople⁣
🚲 Social Media Influencer FMC ⁣

Also, every side character needs a book ASAP please and thank you! Out January 16th!⁣

Cute, fish-out-of-water story that will make you smile.

I enjoyed Presley and Beckett. Presley is the city mouse gone country, Beckett is the island boy who loves this life and would do anything for his family.

And I adored his family too, they really fleshed out Beckett.

I am not a big fan of the instalove, but in this case, it didn't feel so rushed for me (even though it takes place over less than 10 days).

I hope this becomes a series in the future.

Love, Naturally is Sophie Sullivan’s newest fish-out-of-water opposites-attract romantic comedy.

Presley Ayers is a city girl, working as an Assistant Concierge at La Chambre, a fancy hotel in Great Falls, Michigan. She works a lot of hours in hopes of being promoted to Concierge, and then finding a job in a bigger city where the Manager isn’t the devil. She also is a social media influencer, and she uses her connections to get a low-cost 10-day trip to Get Lost Lodge. She surprises her boyfriend of eight months, Emmett, with news of this trip on his thirtieth birthday. The reader can tell that Emmett isn’t “that into” Presley, and she is clueless. Emmett informs her that he is someone else and he would prefer to take his new girl on his birthday trip. Presley decides to go by herself to Lake Michigan, even though she has no clue about camping or the great outdoors.

Beckett Keller is an Assistant Manager at a sporting goods store on the tourist island of Smile, just a short boat ride away from his brother’s business, Get Lost Lodge. His boss has offered him the Manager position at a new store he plans to open in a large town several hours away. Beckett is really torn because his recently divorced brother, Grayson, was awarded the dilapidated lodge in the settlement, and he and their sister, Jillian, are trying to make improvements in time for the tourist season. Beckett has a small cabin at the lodge, and he thinks about his long-term goal of opening a rental bicycle business on Smile. If he accepts the transfer, he can no longer help his siblings or open the bike business.

Presley suffers from motion sickness while riding the boat to Let Lost Lodge. She is really embarrassed when a handsome, outdoorsy man brings her a paper sack in case she vomits. Then they meet again when he is sent to her room at the lodge to repair her failing air conditioner. Since all the habitable rooms are taken, he offers for her to stay in his cabin while he bunks with one of his siblings. Although they are attracted to each other, he quickly learns that she doesn’t like hiking, fishing, or nature in general. However Presley uses her social media prowess to publicize the lodge and help the business. Of course they fall in love and the big question is what will happen when Presley’s ten days are up.

Love, Naturally is an enjoyable opposites-attract romantic comedy. The characters are very likeable and there are many hilarious scenes. My criticism of this story is that it’s written in third person POV, and I really think it would be better in first person POV with dual narrators. The reader gets both Presley’s and Beckett’s POV in the same paragraph and it’s awkward to read. The reader wants not only Presley and Beckett to have a happily-ever-after, but also for Grayson and Jillian to find their soul mates. I hope the author continues the series with their stories.

Presley Avery is a planner. She has been the conierge for a boutique hotel for several years. People are moving up but she feels stuck. So she does something out of her wheel house. She plans a vacation with her boyfriend as a surprise for his birthday. All the things he likes to do but not her. When that blows up, she goes by herself. She is determined to have an adventure and do all the things that were planned. Enter Beckett Keller. He has come to the lodge to help his brother and sister get the placed fixed up and renovated. One look at Presley on the ferry ride over and he knew she was a duck out of water. Little did he know how true that was. Even on vacation, Presley still couldn't shut off her brain. She is a marketing major and she had so many ideas to help them get the lodge running at full capacity. She just didn't want to overstep her bounds. She fell in love with this place. A slower pace and everyone seemed to know each other. The shops were fun and the food was delicious. But Beckett got her engine running. They had so much fun in that week that neither wanted it to end. Both couldn't say what they felt. Enter older brother Grayson to give Beckett a swift kick in the pants. So he made plans to get the girl back. I loved the ending!

This book definitely had a slow start. It didn’t get good until about 20% in. But once I got into it I didn’t want to put it down😍 I loved this cute lil opposites attract romance. Presley is a city girl who recently got dumped by her boyfriend while Beckett is a country hot mountain man who love nature and being outside. I loved their cute lil romance and how they brought out the best in each other and helped eachother do things they wouldn’t normally be comfortable doing. I also really loved Ollie she’s so cute!🥺 this book had so many good characters that I fell in love with! Definitely gonna have to get my hands on a copy of this book once it’s published😍

This story follows Presley, fresh off an unexpected break-up with her boyfriend of 8 months, on the trip she had planned for his birthday. Meeting the male MC on the ferry ride to the lodge she will be staying at for 10 days what follows is a light and fun read.

While this book was enjoyable, there were several inconsistencies that drove me to give a lower rating than I would have had the book been better organized. The timeline jumps all over the place (for example, it mentions a character is leaving the next day, 2 days pass, the mentioned character is still there) and there are several storylines that could have been something but fizzled out.

There is opportunity for additional books to be written in this world, and I would read them without hesitation, however I would go in to them knowing I need to not pay attention to the detail, which is something I normally don't love in a book.

Love, Naturally is an adorable rom-com about Presley and Beckett. Presley, recently broken up with, goes on a trip Up North to a resort run by Beckett and his family. Trying to heal her broken heart on a vacation she thought she was going on with her ex, Presley is swept into Beckett and his family's orbit.

This was really cute. I'm not a huge fan of "insta-love", but there was something really sweet about the connection that Presley and Beckett had. Beckett's family added a really lovely layer to the whole book, and I was rooting for them the entire time.

Opposites may attract, but Presley and Beckett have more in common than they realize.

Sometimes, you pick up a book, and it's just simple, sweet, and tender. This is one of those books! The small town setting made me want to pack my bags and move to a lake town. The characters felt like family. The love story, while it happened quickly, was romantic, and you couldn't help but root for the characters. This was a heartwarming book, perfect to pick up and read on a cozy day or for a pallette cleanser!

I just adored this sweet small town, vacation romance!

Presley attempts to gift her boyfriend a fun vacation at a rustic lodge on an island, and he is a complete jerk about it. They break up, and she goes on the trip solo. She initially feels like a fish out of water with all of the outdoor activities like fishing, boating, and hiking, but the hottie brother of the inn owner helps her feel right at home.

The concept was a lot of fun, with Presley thrown into new activities with a whole new group of people. The lodge and the small town nearby are idyllic and sound like a fabulous place to vacation, with a town full of fun characters. I see plenty of opportunities to continue this as a series focused on the other siblings or townspeople!

There is a found family aspect to this story as well, with Presley instantly fitting in with Beckett and his family. That theme always melts my heart, and I loved seeing it here. Presley and Beckett would definitely fall under insta love, and the connection between the two is obvious from the first moment. This is a closed door romance, but it still gave great chemistry!

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the eARC of this novel! I really enjoyed this novel and absolutely loved Sophie’s writing. The character development was amazing and I was engrossed in this novel from start to finish!

The first two chapters of this book had me hooked then it all went downhill. I couldn't connect to any of the characters and the book just dragged and dragged forever even though it wasn't even that long of a book. I couldn't feel the chemistry at all and the plot seemed unrealistic.

Presley is a goal oriented planner in both her personal and professional life, to the point where she is so focused on her achieving each step, she fails to see the reality in front of her. When she arrives at the Get Lost Lodge alone following breaking off her relationship with her boyfriend, Presley is totally out of her element. Finding and sharing the best shopping deals with her IG followers, and securing hard to get reservations and tickets are her superpowers; she's in her element as a personal concierge at a boutique hotel, but outdoorsy she is NOT! In a twist of fate, the malfunctioning A/C unit in Presley's room at the lodge puts the Presley in Beckett's cabin and his kindness and empathy push her out of her comfort zone, making her determined to explore all the lodge has to offer.

Beckett is spending time off from his job managing a sporting goods store to help his brother as he takes over ownership of Get Lost Lodge. Leading hikes, fishing trips, and excursions to the unique small town of Smile, Beckett also becomes an internet sensation to his dismay as he receives the hashtag #hotmountainman after appearing in the background of Presley's IG photo. The three siblings Grayson, Beckett, and Jill are close, supportive, and live by the family first motto. Beckett, averse to change, but wanting more from his life, is struggling to make a decision for his future, and keeps putting it off.

Beckett and Presley fit so perfectly together, filling needs the other has naturally and without thought. I loved them together! I did shed a few tears toward the end of the book, but the character development and relationship pacing was perfect. I appreciate the talent of an author that can move me to tears through sharing in the emotions of the characters, and Sophie Sullivan definitely achieved that. A few steamy kisses and fade to black scenes make this book perfect for those who enjoy their romance without a lot of spice.

An opposites attract, close proximity romance with an endearing cast of secondary characters and a found family dynamic make Love, Naturally a must read! I am also hoping to see Grayson and Jill each get their own HEAs in the future.

I had the opportunity to read an advance copy of Love, Naturally. My honest review is shared voluntarily.
