A charming opposites-attract romance, Love, Naturally by Sophie Sullivan is for anyone who ever stepped outside their comfort zone and found that all the best things can happen when you take a chance.
Presley Ayers is not the woman you bring on a camping trip. An accomplished concierge at an exclusive hotel in Great Falls, MI, she knows more about the top ten places for champagne and caviar than she does about the best hiking boots to go stomping around near Lake Michigan. But when she surprises her boyfriend of eight months with a vacation to the Get Lost Lodge and he dumps her instead, Presley decides to rough it solo and take the trip herself.
When Beckett Keller helps the gorgeous woman off the rickety boat and onto Lodge territory, it’s clear to him she's made a mistake. She doesn’t like hiking, fishing, or nature in general, so why did she go on this trip? He’s got other things on his mind though—a crumbling lodge, and his own plans and dreams that are forever deferred—so he doesn’t have time for Ms. Fish-Out-of-Water. Even so, neither Beckett nor Presley can help that inexplicable draw they feel towards each other. He’s all rough stubble and plaid shirts, while she’s all high heels and brand-name athleisurewear.
But you know what they say about opposites.

Sophie Sullivan has done it again with another fantastic book!!
The story follows Presley Ayers who gets dumped by her boyfriend when she tried to surprise him with a vacation to the Get Lost Lodge. Devastated, she goes on the vacation herself, the one catch is that it was centered around all the things her ex-boyfriend liked to do; camping, fishing, hiking, etc. Presley is determined to have a good time on her vacation even if it's not her regular style. Once she arrives she meets Beckett Keller, whose family owns the lodge.
Honestly, even though its not marketed as this type of book, its basically love at first sight. There's initial attraction between both Presley and Beckett and like any romance book that attractions grows into something more.
The story has everything a reader would want. Not a long book, 300 or so pages. It's a contemporary romance with hints of love at first sight. A girl trying to get over her ex. A family oriented man. And of course opposites-attract.
I would recommend this book to everyone. You'll love it! Sophie Sullivan is an amazing author.
Thank you to NetGalley and St. Martin's Press for providing me with an arc of this book in exchange for an honest review.
It was such a beautifully written love story. These two characters deserved their happily ever after so very much. I hope the author gives us more from this world.
Absolutely fantastic plot! Could not put the book down once I began reading it. Cannot wait for it to be released. I will recommend it to everyone I know!
Let me just start this off by saying I devoured this book. Thank you so much to Netgalley and St. Martins Press for allowing me to read an ARC of it. I was so invested in this book and while getting to know the characters and Get Lost as well as the townspeople of Smile I was hoping it would never end. Sophie Sullivans writing is amazing and after reading Love, Naturally I would love to go and buy more of her books. The characters in this book just felt so real to me and sometimes I would forget I was even reading. I usually bring my Kindle with me to work so I can read on my breaks and every single time my break would end my mind wouldn't leave this story I would immediately want to go pick it back up and continue. I don't want to ramble on for too long but I can't wait to hear other people's thoughts on this book when it comes out. I hope they love it just as much as I do.
I think this might be my favorite Sophie Sullivan book.
I loves Presley and Beckett. I loved the town and the lodge. I really enjoy when a place feels like a character to me and that’s what Smile and Get Lost Lodge felt like. The side characters were so good and have left me wanting more of Smile and Get Lost Lodge. From Grayson to Rylee to Jill, they were all so interesting and kind. And let’s not forget the rest of the towns people.
This was such a fun warm romance.
I absolutely LOVED this book!! Presley plans a surprise trip for her boyfriend and he ends hating the idea and their relationship ends. She decides to go on the trip anyway and meets the mountain man. With two separate agendas in mind, Presley to heal from her breakup, and Beckett to help his siblings with the resort and pitch his new idea. There is no room for a relationship or even a fling, but these two couldn't fight fate. Not to mention they are total opposites!
This love story was so heart warming! I loved the cast and the family dynamic represented so much.
Thank you so much St. Martin's Press, St. Martin's Griffin, Sophie Sullivan and NetGalley for this ARC in exchange for my honest review.
This book has ruined me for other books. I still have a book hangover weeks after reading this. Love! Love! Love!
First, I LOVE Beckett! *Swoon* I also love that we had duel POVs so we get to be in his head, Really understand his perspective. It makes it easy to understand how he acts and what drives him.
Presley is also wonderful. She takes on things she has never done, challenges herself, and learns a lot about herself along the way.
I would also be remiss if I did not mention the supporting characters, they are PERFECTION!! If this does not become a series i will be devastated. I want to see Beckett’s brother and sister find love!! Sign me up! I am officially a Sophie Sullivan super fan!!
Thank you NetGalley and St. Martin’s Griffin for the ARC!
This is definitely my new fave from Sophie Sullivan. I was talking to a friend about this book and we both agreed that the best kind of romance is the kind where you are so invested that you don't even realize that it's closed door.
When Presley plans a vacation surprise for her boyfriend and everything goes as wrong as possible, she ends up at a fishing resort alone. She fully expects to wallow in netflix and chocolate, but finds that the family and guests at the resort are the true gift. Her romance with Beckett is sweet and swoony and moves at just the right pace. The side characters are perfection. The town is so much fun. The setting is the perfect balance of providing background and texture without being overwhelming to the story. Please tell me that we are going to get Jill and Greyson's stories, too!
If enjoyed this book as much as I did, please go back and read Sophie's Jody Holford books. They are fantastic.
Looking for an exhilarating romance? LOVE, NATURALLY is an adventurous, humorous, and amorous tale that will tug on your heart strings. Presley Ayers, a sparkly, pretty associate concierge works at a hotel. She plans a romantic vacation at a remote fishing lodge for herself and her boyfriend. Her best friend Rylee is concerned, knowing how Presley always gives more of herself in a relationship than her partner. Well, the jerk breaks up with her! She feels lost, unappreciated and decides to go on the vacation herself. Has she made the right decision?
Presley escapes to Get Lost Lodge situated in a remote village. She wants to gain perspective over what to do next in life. She is shocked that her planned vacation is totally, over-the-top, back to nature. Hiking, fishing, boating, camping is not Presley's forte. However, the eye man candy, Beckett Keller, might help pass the time. Presley is not looking for a relationship though, after having her heart stomped on. She meets the family, the Kellers, who own the lodge and instantly bonds with them. The lodge is in disrepair, with Beckett working non-stop to help his siblings out. Beckett's dreams are put on hold. He makes choices that help everyone around him, but sadly not his own.
The attraction between Beckett and Presley is undeniable. Fate throws them together in impossible ways. Will nature boy and city girl throw caution to the wind?
LOVE, NATURALLY is a touching, entertaining story of opposites-attract. Beckett is at a crossroads in his life. He's used to leaving his needs behind, while helping others out. Presley is a determined, independent lady without an anchor. She needs to refuel, relax and regain ideas on what to do next in her life. I loved the respect and support they give one another as they work things out. Their dynamic attraction is hot! Ms. Sullivan expertly plots a wonderful tale of romance, emotions, and family relationships. I fell in love with all the engaging characters. The author perfectly details emotional upheaval in all sticky situations that happens at hotels. A soul-warming, powerful, romance drama!
This book grabbed me from the first paragraph and I couldn't put it down! After Presley surprises her boyfriend with a well thought out gift & he dumps her, she decides to go on the trip (totally out of her comfort zone) herself. There she meets Beckett whose family owns the Get Lost Lodge that she is staying at. Presley falls for everything at the lodge, including Beckett despite her wanting just a week long fling. Beckett falls just as hard, as does his niece and rest of the family. This is the perfect beach read, sweet, fun and I didn't want it to end! I cannot wait to read more written by Sophie Sullivan.
Perfect read by a perfect writer. The cover drew me to the book, but the characters and setting made me stay engrossed in every page. I loved it.
This was such a lovely, heartwarming read. Presley and Beckett really feel like two good, true-hearted people who came together and really saw each other. It’s a whirlwind romance that takes place over the course of one vacation, but the characters’ brainwaves are so in-synch that it is very believable. The two of them, being opposites in background and experience, seemed to be pulled together like magnets, but truly they are similar in their values, in their creativity and passion, and in their openness and appreciation for each other. Their love story feels, aptly, very natural. I also enjoyed the small family-run business and small town aspects of the book, the rom-com, get-the-girl ending, and the sublime descriptions of the setting and its connections to the characters’ emotions and love story. I hope we get to see more from these characters in future books!
Ahh I loved this book. It was a great story with developed characters. Presley needed this trip to get outside of her comfort zone and meets Beckett. The attraction was instant and all the supporting characters made such a sweet story. I really enjoyed it - like all of Sophie’s books. I can’t wait for my book group to read this one when it’s out.
The absolute cutest story of a city girl going out of her comfort zone to a cabin adventure. She dives into the lives of the family who owns a cabin and falls in love and discovers more about herself.
Completely lovable. Presley quickly dumps her cringey boyfriend (we love a quick X of the wrong guy), and travels to adorable Get Lost Lodge. Beckett is surrounded family and kind friends as he helps his brother with his floundering outdoor lodge business. The small town on the nearby island is full of quirky supporters of the Kessler family and Get Lost Lodge. I loved watching Presley grow into herself and lose some people pleasing qualities. Spicy scenes are fade to black/closed door. If you loved The Suite Spot by Trish Doller like I did, this has wonderfully similar vibes!
This book is such a cozy vacation read and I was so happy to hear that this is going to be part of a series! If I could visit the lodge and this town I would in an instant. Beckett and Presley were so perfect and fell in love fast but it felt so right when reading it. I can't wait to see them pop up in the future books.
This book came at such a perfect time, as I was enjoying a weekend camping I started this book and just HAD to read it start to finish in one day! Presley, a young woman who thinks she has it all together, meets Beckett at his family's cabin/lodge retreat. The unlikely pair connect almost immediately, and boy oh boy do the sparks fly! I love forced proximity and instant chemistry, so the limited timeline trope did not sway me from loving this story!
This book was such a fun read for me it was so hard to put down. This book is great for when you just need a breath of fresh air.
The banter between Presley and Beck is fantastic and they did actually have me laughing out loud. I loved that it wasn’t just the main characters I loved but the secondary characters as well. I’m not sure how to call them secondary though because they brought so much to the story.
I love the the family/found family aspect and how amazing the whole community is in this book.
I highly recommend this if you’re looking to #GetLost in a great book.
I also would like the thank NetGalley and the publish for the ARC for an honest review.
Love, Naturally was like a big warm hug that I wanted to savor for just a second longer. I loved this book.
The author wrote such relatable characters that they ended up feeling like family and I was not ready to leave their world. I want to be friends with these characters and get to know every single one of them even more (well maybe all but Emmett). I want to live in their town, ride bikes, sing karaoke at Bro’s Pub 🎤, eat at Pete’s, and stay at Get Lost Lodge.
I really would love to read Jilly and Grayson’s stories as well so 🤞🏻for a series because I am not over Get Lost Lodge.
Thank you NetGalley for the ARC in exchange for my honest review.
Love, naturally is a gem. The story’s MCs are so relatable and enjoyable that you want all of the good things to happen for them. The main girl in our story is Presley who is a kind, selfless, hardworking hotel manager wannabe. One bad situation has her realizing she needs to take time away from the hustle and bustle of her life and head to the one place she never thought of going, the woods. Here we meet the amazing Keller family who capture your heart as a reader. Each one of these family members adds to Presleys story. The love story that we venture one with Beckett and Presley gives all the feels. You hear from both characters in some of the chapters which gives a nice perspective to the feelings that are emerging. When I say wow I wish everyone can find themselves a Beckett I mean it. He easily has a spot on my book boyfriend list. Not going to lie I was holding my breath towards the end of the story because some loose ends start to fray but I was pleasantly content with how things ended. Read this story!!!! Seriously, you’ll smile to yourself, giggle, have heart palpitations but it’s all worth it!
Another Sophie Sullivan book… another ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ review.
Loved this book with its city girl/hot mountain man storyline. Presley and Beckett were adorable together and the side characters were amazing, as always. Makes me hope this is the start of a new series.
Thanks to NetGalley for this ARC in exchange for my honest review. Watch for Love Naturally to come out January 16, 2024!
Where do I even begin! This one gets all the feels. The characters are so loveable and Presely won my heart from the very beginning. Always on plan, life throws her a curve ball and sends her on the ride of her life with a 10 day wilderness trip. I love that she says what she is thinking and it just makes her character someone I want to be friends with. #hotmountainman comes in and steals the spotlight for all the right reasons. He truly made my heart melt. This story shared true emotions and I found myself laughing out loud and also brought to tears with an almost shattered heart. The supporting characters thoughout also pull on the heart strings and are so enjoyable, especially Ollie. Sophie Sullivan is a super talent and does it again with a perfect romance feel good. Thanks to NetGalley and St. Martin's Press for an early reader copy. Check this out in January 2024!!
Love, Naturally is a captivating story of charming opposites who find themselves irresistibly drawn to each other. This heartwarming and sweet romance takes place in the quaint town of Smile, where its quirky and close-knit inhabitants add an extra touch of enchantment. Through its pages, Sullivan reminds us of the magic that lies in embracing the unexpected.
What a great book! Presley & Beckett are such a wonderful couple! Its impossible not to fall in love with them! Not to mention the rest of the Get Lost & Smile regulars! Seeing Presley & Beckett’s relationship flourish is a pleasure! I can’t say enough good things about this book. Oh and to Ms Sullivan, you most certainly succeeded in your desire to make people smile and fall into your words, your worlds, and your characters.” Thank YOU!
This book was a complete cozy romantic escape. I loved it.
She’s a fish out of a water at a resort and he’s the good looking mountain man willing to help her along the way. Their attraction was instantaneous and so was my joy in this book.
This was an easy to read, closed door romance with an instant attraction and found family tropes.
Again, I loved it.
Love Naturally by Sophie Sullivan is the perfect rom com. I adored everything about this book and think readers of this genre will definitely enjoy this book. This is one of my favorite rom coms that I’ve read in a long time. I really loved the characters and the vivid settings in this book. I received a digital copy of this book from the publisher with no obligations. These opinions are entirely my own.
