This book was very difficult to get through and very cringey. This was pretty unrealistic for a contemporary romance book. I couldn’t relate really to the main characters which made me not attached to the book. I did like the side characters, mainly Ollie. The instalove was also not romantic at all. I love the cover and wanted to love the book as well. Definitely not a book for me.

Honestly, I wanted to love this book so much! I love a good small town, opposites attract romance, but for me this one just didn’t hit. The FMC kept cringingly telling the MMC he was attractive in the beginning. You kept getting a repetitive backstory from the characters. Ollie (Beckett’s niece) was my favorite character. She had the best personality. Overall wasn’t my vibe but I would be willing to try another book by Sophie before completely writing her off.
I feel like this book will be a great summer read with the camping-like feeling to it.
This book follows Presley taking a vacation after breaking up with her boyfriend, to the "Get Lost" lodge. When Presley gets there she finds it struggling to make ends meet. On the boat ride over Presley meets her love interest of the story Beckett. This story does have the trope of instant love, and yes Beckett and Presley pretty much hit it off right away. Throughout the story, Presley becomes closer to Beckett and his family by helping them to put "Get Lost" on the map. I like the concept of the book, but there was a whole lot of nothing happening in this book. I wish there was more and we got more into the relationship of Presley and Beckett and I wish there was a little bit more of a challenge for the characters. Overall, it was a good short read and when Presley and Beckett were together it did make me swoon for them. 3.5/5 stars.
Thank you to Netgalley, Sophie Sullivan, and St. Martin's Press for an eARC in exchange for an honest review.
Presley is not an outdoorsy kinda girl. But when her boyfriend dumps her right before a hiking/ rugged-like trip, she decides to go on her own. When Beckett helps Presley off the rickety boat, it’s clear she doesn’t like hiking, fishing, or nature in general, so why did she go on this trip? But neither Beckett nor Presley can help that inexplicable draw they feel towards each other.
This was such a sweet and adorable romance! Fish-out-of-the-water, insta-love, opposites-attract, and small town; these tropes blended perfectly with each, and honestly, the insta-love part felt quite natural too.
Presley & Beckett were so tender around each other that was swoony. I loved how, even though they were attracted towards each other, they took time to be comfortable around each other.
The lodge setting was definitely a plus point for the story & I adored the side characters are well. The grand gesture or the "make-up" was so satisfying. Overall it was a quick and enjoyable read.
Thank you Netgalley and publisher for the arc in exchange for an honest review.
After How to Love your Neighbor and A guide to Being Just Friends, I was offered the arc for Love, Naturally from Sophie Sullivan. I was a bit hesitant, since A Guide turned out to be a bit slow. But I decided to give it another go.
And this one was indeed a bit more on tempo. The story is funny: Beckett and Presley are totally opposite characters. Presley is the high maintenance city chick and Beckett the laid back outdoorsy type. Presley had booked this outdoor trip for her and her boyfriend. For her, the idea of a relaxing holiday is at an island in a luxurious hotel with a spa. However, trying to indulge in her lover’s hobby of fishing in the wilderness, she booked this trip. When he walks out on her, she decides to go on her own. And hooks Beckett…. Literally…
Needless to say: Beckett and Presley really start on the wrong foot. It’s the slow burn that gets you hooked.- Figuratively – so, four out of five stars from me and a special thank you to Netgalley for providing the arc.
Omg what a cute and sweet closed door romance! I enjoyed the heck out of this one.
I really enjoyed the characters in this book. Presley and Beck were both adorable. I absolutely loved the setting! I’m a huge mountain girl at heart so this made me feel all warm and fuzzy and like I need a camping trip asap! The romance was very insta-lovey but it worked for this book.
This beauty releases on January 16th so make sure you pick up a copy!
Thank you so much to St Martin’s Press and Netgalley for the e-arc!
Thank you so much for the opportunity to read this sweet book. Love, Naturally was such a cute story and I loved the character development and watching their relationship grow. Beautifully written! I will definitely be reading more from this author in the future!
Love, Naturally is the perfect light read that would be excellent for summer. I wasn't crazy about the insta love aspect that happens over 10 days. The plot was just okay, but not anything that really resonated or stuck with me. 3.5 stars rounded up to 4. Thank you to the publisher and netgalley for this ARC in exchange for a honest review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
4/5 Stars
I enjoyed this book more than I thought it was. It was very insta-love, but I honestly didn’t mind it. I thought the characters were well developed and had great chemistry. I liked the setting of the island and the small town and thought the side characters were fun and charming.
This was pretty predictable opposites attract story but I thought it was well done and liked the direction the story went in. It wasn’t really anything new or unique but it was a fun, cute read.

I love Sophie Sullivan’s books, and this was no different. Presley and Beckett are endearing; while I do not love the insta-love trope, I thought that Sullivan did it well. I especially enjoyed the side characters and hope they will get their own stories!
I voluntarily read and reviewed a copy of this book, provided by Netgalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Beckett Keller isn't real. And that's a shame. I loved Beckett and Presley and every second of this book. It's the sweet closed door "off the grid" romance that I needed! I'm on vacation for 2 weeks, so this book was the perfect start! My heart was a puddle of goo every time Beckett talked to Presley. He was so sweet to her, and she needed a guy to put her first after Emmett the Jerk. I don't get how Presley didn't punch Emmett in the nose.
Jilted by her boyfriend Emmett the Jerk, Presley takes the vacation she planned for the both of them to get away. Her work is grinding, and she was really looking forward to some time away from her demanding boss (WHO STILL TEXTS HER TO WORK ON HER VACATION!). Once a the resort, she meets the sweetest cast of characters and falls madly in love with the island and small town not far from - but she mostly falls in love with Beckett. They agree to a here and now fling, but both can't bring themselves away from it, and they are absolutely miserable without each other.
The serene backdrop of this sweet romance is the perfect place for this to unravel. Both Beckett and Presley needed a complete reset to come to their HEA, and they happened to tumble in together. The town of Smile is adorable, and I hope we get more stories in this world!
Love, Naturally is such a great read. I loved this story. Even though Presley isn't made for the outdoors, she is willing to do things that Beckett enjoys. I loved the chemistry between Presley and Beckett. I love the secondary characters. I also love how everyone came together to help with the Lodge. I didn't want to put it down.

Honestly not sure what to rate this even after thinking about it for a while. The writing was good but i found the story to make me cringe at times. It was hard to really realise that the majority of the story takes place over 8 days but besides that it was really captivating and fun! I loved all the side characters so much and this was overall a good book.
Hotel concierge and influencer Presley Ayres hopes a 10-day outdoor vacation with her boyfriend, full of activities he likes like fishing and hiking, will give their relationship the push it needs to go to the next level. But when Emmett basically laughs in her face, she dumps him and decides to take the vacation herself, no matter that the activities at the Get Lost resort on a small island in northern Michigan are the furthest thing from her usual hobbies. Presley finds herself eager to try it all, especially when the handsome, kind Beckett is there as a guide. Beckett has dreams beyond working at a sports store, but with his family struggling to keep Get Lost afloat after his brother got the crumbling property in his divorce, is this really the best time for him to be chasing his own dreams – or the girl? Especially when Presley is due to leave in just 10 days…
As a card-carrying indoor gal, I so identified with Presley loving the idea of the outdoors more than she actually enjoys spending time in it. I adored Beckett for being completely non-judgmental about it, opening the door for Presley to access activities she might never be willing to try (or would have such a miserable time trying that she only ever does it once). Every member of the Keller family (and each of the regular guests at the Get Lost and Smile residents) was an absolute delight. I hope we’ll get to enjoy getting to see Gray and Jilly find their people in future books.
⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ for a charming small-town romance, chock-full of delightful side characters, and two MCs finding their dreams are more in reach then ever when they reach together.
Thanks to NetGalley and St. Martin’s Griffin for a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
This was such a fun romance! I loved the romantic leads, Presley and Beckett. They were both delightful characters to get to be inside their heads. The Keller family was lovely and made me want to know them in real life. The found family aspect of this book was an unexpected joy!
Presley was a city girl who was an optimist to the point of destruction. She just kept trucking along in her relationship and her work without seeing any of the red flags that were waving violently in her face. I loved that the entire trip to Get Lost was an experiment in getting out of her comfort zone, and trying to find out who she really was. I related to her in many ways, which made this book have more depth than other romance novels have had for me in the past.
Beckett had a heart of gold, but he was terrified of taking risks. He wanted to do right by his family, but often to his own detriment. He was a really sweet romantic lead. I loved seeing him and Presley discover their feelings for one another. And speaking of his family, they were wonderful! Jill and Grayson were great, and Ollie was so much like my daughter that it made me grin from ear to ear every time she was on the page.
The town of Smile was such a great setting! I would love to visit someplace like it, and now I kind of want to research Michigan to see if it is based on a real place 🙂 I love a good small town that is welcoming and a bit quirky.
This was a delightful book with a great romance (a little steamy, but nothing explicit), wonderful found family, and some self-discovery thrown in. I would absolutely recommend this to anyone looking for a feel good romance!
My Rating:
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️1/2
I gave Love, Naturally 4.5 Stars!
A great read, the story of Presley and Beckett. An opposites attract romance. I loved the setting of the book and hope Beckett's siblings get their own books next.
Presley Ayers has a surprise trip planned for her boyfriend Emmett. When she gives him the gift he breaks up with her. So she decides to go by herself. We get to know Beckett, Jill, Grayson and Ollie. As they get the lodge business going, Presley gives them ideas and gets to know Beckett. 😉 The best part of this book is the found family and the town of Smile. I'm hoping there's more books and a series based on this family. This book made me laugh out loud and cry many tears. I loved it.
Deciding to go on her ex's dream vacation after a terrible breakup, Presley Ayers finds herself falling in love with the cozy Get Lost Lodge, the community, and a reserved but very sweet guy. Presley thought she'd surprise her boyfriend with his dream vacation, as a way to reconnect despite their relationship being a bit rocky only for him to tell her she is too demanding and he didn't want to go with her. Presley gets dumped by him and decides that she's had enough of trying to constantly please others and that she would take the vacation for herself and try and step out of her comfort zone on the trip. Presley is going to be staying at the Get Lost Lodge and hopefully, trying out new things and relaxing. Cue, Beckett Keller, a reserved and off the grid guy who's family owns the Get Lost Lodge. Beckett has sworn never to fall for any of the guests who stay at the lodge and that he'd focus on helping his family maintain their lodge. Yet when some booking issues occur, Presley and Beckett find themselves sharing a cabin and spending more time with each other. Despite their clear differences, they are drawn to each other and the chemistry between them is growing. Yet, Presley is only staying for a week and this fling was only suppose to last a week and end right...? Or is this actually the real thing and all the fake dating between them is actually something very real. This was such a cute and cozy romance. It definitely felt like a cute getaway and all the fun and sweet romance vibes of Hallmark movie (a good one). I loved how Presley and Beckett fit together and they really were so good for one another. They had great chemistry and the background characters were fantastic. I adored meeting Beck's family and the fun Lodge community. This really is such a cute feel good sweet romance that I definitely think would be a easy read for people!
*Thanks Netgalley and St. Martin's Press, St. Martin's Griffin for sending me an arc in exchange foe an honest review*
Written by a fellow Canadian, this instalove book is a breath of fresh air. The pace is slow but gives you a chance to really appreciate the atmosphere and found family. All the characters are wonderfully written as they make you want to be part of their lives. I hope this becomes a series, as I definitely look forward to more of their stories. It was not a spicy book, but very charming and it had me hooked.

Thank you St Martin Press and Net Galley for a chance to read this before its relsease date January 16 2024.
Love, Naturally by Sophie Sullivan is a story with one of those worlds I could bask in for a long time - an actual book vacation. The characters are so lovable, the setting is picturesque and described to a visceral level, and the romance is perfect. I loved every minute I spent in Smile, Michigan, and the Get Lost Lodge.
The main character is Presley Ayers - an only child who has spent a lifetime learning to be self-sufficient and independent. When she breaks up with her boyfriend, she takes a vacation she planned for both of them alone. While away, she falls in love with a man, a family, and a whole town, but her life is far away from this idyllic setting, and she is always the pragmatist, so she keeps that in mind.
I especially loved the pacing, which is fast due to the intelligent and witty dialogue and the lovely balance between exposition and dialogue. The family themes drew me in and made the characters - each one (except the ex-boyfriend!) endearing and relatable. Smile, Michigan, and the Get Lost Lodge is a world I readily and happily got lost in and the best book vacation I’ve taken in a long time.
