This is a classic rom-com. It's a feel good story about the main character finding herself after a breakup, set in a small town. It's nothing to write home about but it's a good palette cleanser.
Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for this ARC!
Standard rom com fare, with decent writing. Nothing to hate here, but I didn’t love it either. Particularly, I was thrown by the “insta-love” plot line which felt deeply unrealistic and took away from the rest of the story. Otherwise uplifting and cute.
Fun story set in Michigan - loved the setting! Cute characters that you root for. Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC.
3.5 stars!
It's a delightful and endearing romance with a classic opposites-attract theme, featuring a dose of instant love and some behind-closed-doors romantic moments.
The story kicks off with Beckett offering a helping hand to Presley as she steps off a shaky boat onto Lodge property. It's immediately clear that she might have made a big mistake by choosing this destination. Despite her lack of enthusiasm for outdoor activities like hiking, fishing, and just being in nature, she finds herself on this adventure. Beckett, on the other hand, is dealing with his own set of challenges, including the declining state of the lodge and his unrealized dreams.
The overall vibe of the story is warm and uplifting, with a good balance of hurdles and triumphs. However, the one aspect that didn't quite resonate with me was the lightning-fast and deep love that developed between Beckett and Presley. Their connection seemed to ignite instantly, which was a bit hard for me to fully connect with.
I'd like to extend my gratitude to Netgalley and the publisher for providing me with an early ARC of this book. All opinions are my own!
A delightful, wholesome read that will have you wanting to book your next adventure!
Presley had just broken up with her ex when she decides that she is going to go on the trip she originally planned for him in the great outdoors. Even though she is the ultimate city girl, Presley discovers that stepping outside her comfort zone–with the help of a certain Hot Mountain Man–might just be what brings her the *comfort* she's been looking for all along.
• picturesque small town
• tight community
• forced proximity (something goes wrong with her room at the lodge, so she "has" to stay with him!)
• opposites attract
• insta attraction + love
• low conflict/drama
• closed door
Love, Naturally is a heartwarming story about found family and finding love, acceptance, and home in the most unlikely place.
Thank you, St. Martin's Press, for the ARC!
This book was an absolute delight! Sophie has an incredible talent for crafting characters that are effortlessly endearing. The entire story exuded warmth and happiness, striking a perfect balance between the challenges the characters face and their eventual triumphs.
Presley, reeling from a recent breakup, embarks on the trip she had initially planned for her now-ex. Little did she know that this journey would lead her to discover everything she had been missing in life. Serendipity intervenes, and she stumbles upon something utterly unexpected. At the lodge where she's staying, she crosses paths with Beckett and his family, instantly falling head over heels for the charm of the place. What's more, her connection with Beckett sparks a rapid and profound romance, a development I thoroughly adored!
Beckett's character arc was a highlight for me. He's the family's dependable problem solver, always putting his dreams on hold to assist his loved ones. With Presley's support, he begins to realize that he can still be there for his family while pursuing something he's genuinely passionate about. And let's not forget the unwavering support from his siblings, which was heartwarming and entirely expected. They're always there for each other, no matter the circumstances.
As for Beckett and Presley, they were a match made in heaven. He prioritized her, cared for her, challenged her in all the right ways, and she, in turn, offered unwavering encouragement for his career aspirations and dreams. She even embraced his family, especially his adorable niece, Ollie (who undoubtedly stole the show). They complemented each other perfectly. While falling in love within the span of a week might seem outlandish, they did it with such authenticity and grace that it felt entirely believable.
This was SO stinking cute and wholesome. Presley and Beckett were so evenly matched for each other and so genuine about their feelings even when they had a hard time admitting it to themselves.
There’s a bit of an insta-love situation, but everyone is so affectionate and warm that it definitely allows you to suspend disbelief. Beckett’s entire family is so great, and welcome Presley into the fold immediately in a way that is impossible to resist (or to want to). Ollie is a national treasure and must be protected at all costs.
I want to move to Smile and spend my days hiking and biking and cozying up in the lodge. This was a super warm-and-cozy light read.
This book was predictable, but very cute. I loved a lot of the characters and especially loved the family atmosphere at the Get Lost Lodge. Another win for a Sophie Sullivan when I need something like to escape. Thanks to the publisher for this eARC!

SOPHIE SULLIVAN CAN DO NO WRONG!
I've read Sophie Sullivan books before and her writing is beautiful and has me questioning how she knows all my insecurities and then writing the perfect partner for that is scarily beautiful and perfect
The ending was perfect and just so fitting for the two because the little act of giving your partner a gift that's tailored to your strenghts and it being what they need/could need is so cute
*only reason i didn't give 5/5 stars is because i want to reread it as a paperback just to get the full experience
I got really into Love, Naturally from the beginning—cute banter, dreamy setting, and compelling characters. Over time, I became less invested, so the book started to drag for me. But I think it’s perfect for readers who want less spice in a romance.
I would like to thank NetGalley and Sophie Sullivan for the eARC for Love, Naturally.
This story follows Presley and Beckett as they each unwittingly begin to challenge each other to step out of their comfort zones. Presley is a planner and this trip she embarked on was meant to be a spontaneous surprise for her boyfriend to show him that she can be fun! Turns out her plan was a bust. So, Presley decides to take this journey by herself.
This story was such a cute read. The characters were adorable and I love the small town feel in novels where everyone knows everyone. Would definitely recommend!
3.5 stars -- Sophie Sullivan again writes a super sweet romance but I really wanted more! This one felt like more of a YA romance than an adult contemporary romance.
"It Happened One Summer" is the bar for this genre for me, and I was excited that this sounded like a similar set up. But as much as I loved our girl Presley, the tension that came from her being a fish out of water (no pun intended) didn't last nearly long enough -- she miraculously filled all of the gaps where the siblings' hospitality expertise was lacking. This felt more like an insta-love than an enemies-to-lovers which wasn't what I was expecting based on the description.
A lot of this plot felt slightly repetitive because there wasn't a lot of conflict or drama happening, so if you like a more low-key book, this is the one for you.
3.5 stars
I know when I pick up a Sophie Sullivan book it’s going to have some lovely characters, and Love, Naturally is no exception. I think the best part of this book was the family relationships and how much family meant to each of the characters. The plot about restoring the lodge and the small town Smile setting were fun. However, I thought the romance was sweet but too unrealistic. I’m personally not a fan of instalove, and this book definitely has that.
I finally managed to find some time to finish this ARC I received from net galley! From changing jobs and becoming a full time pre school teacher to going to school full time, books just haven’t been on my radar and it makes me sad. However, I was determined to finish this book today, so I made myself make time and I’m so glad.
This book was so sweet. From the romance to the family scenes and the descriptive setting, I could imagine myself at the “Get Lost” lodge and I could feel a connection to the characters. If you love small towns and cute romances, this book is for you!
Presley Ayers is a people-pleasing city girl who loves a good deal. Camping is not on her list of hobbies, but she books a trip for two as a surprise for her boyfriend, Emmit. Ready to take things to the next level, i.e., move in together, Presley wants to show Emmit that she can enjoy his kind of fun too. Things do not go as planned and Presley finds herself on a camping trip solo. Beckett Keller is trying to hold it all together for his family, assist guiding hikes, fishing trips, fixing up cabins, and trying to figure out the next steps for his own life. He can’t figure out why Presley is on a camping trip when she clearly has no interest in it. The two can’t seem to break whatever is drawing them together-no matter how different they are. Can the two completely change what they thought their futures looked like to make room for each other? This is a sweet, entertaining romance you won’t want to put down.
Another great book from this author! Presley & Beckett are the cutest couple and you can't help but fall in love with them. A fantastic read, fun characters, and some laugh out loud moments. What more do you need from a romcom?
Thank you to NetGalley for the ARC. I cannot wait to read more from this author!
I really enjoyed Love, Naturally. It had a sweetness to it that was very appealing. The leading lady Presley is just lovely as a city girl fish out of water, trying new thing and stretching her boundaries when she ends up alone one what was supposed to be a dream trip for her boyfriend. The leading man Beck is a great nice guy hero who is loyal to his family and getting his brother's outdoorsy logde up and running. I liked a lot that as Presley stars falling fr Beck she also falls for his family and his quirky small home town. I also appreciated that the romance was closed door - I often end up skimming the spicier stuff nowdays anyway.
So, all in all Love, Naturally worked for me.- and I wouldn't mind seeing stories for Beck's siblings.

What a cute and fun read!
The amount of chemistry between this two characters had me 🥵😉
A fun read for a summer drive or a spot by the pool! Highly recommend
What a great book! Presley & Beckett are such a wonderful couple! Its impossible not to fall in love with them! Not to mention the rest of the Get Lost & Smile regulars! Seeing Presley & Beckett’s relationship flourish is a pleasure! I can’t say enough good things about this book. Oh and to Ms Sullivan, you most certainly succeeded in your desire to make people smile and fall into your words, your worlds, and your characters.” Thank YOU!
I love a good romance, and this one was wonderful! It had witty banter, and lovable characters. I was rooting for them the whole way through!
