Unfortunately I didn't finish this book because after reading the first chapters I feel like this book wasn't really for me so my rating is the average for this book expressed here on netgalley because I also feel like I didn't really give it a chance.

Melissa MacKenzie is down on her luck. Her husband admitted to cheating on her and wants a divorce. Worse, he is also taking the house! But when she receives a letter telling her that she inherited a house, she feels that her luck is about to change. When she keeps bumping into her ex-husband's divorce lawyer, Colin, will sparks fly or will they end up like her last relationship?
What I liked
This is a fun easy read, it reminded me of a Hallmark movie. It was like a warm hug, a nice and cozy read.
I enjoyed the small-town feel of this book once she arrived in Scotland. I especially loved how Colin’s family
What I wish was better
This was a very quick book and characters and plots were not the most thought out, I was left wanting more by the end of the book.
I also wish the main character spent more time with the love interest. They barely spent any time with each other, so how did they possibly fall in love?
If you are a fan of Hallmark movies then this would be one to check out!
Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for allowing me to read and review an advanced copy of this novel. I highly enjoyed it and will be recommending it to others.
I mean... If you don't want a cute and funny christmas romance in an incredibly beautiful scottish setting, what are you doing here? Because this book is the definition of that. I love all those cliché hallmark christmas movies with all my guilty pleasure heart, but I hadn't found one as a book yet that could fulfill this wish. And now I have it. And I love that for me. So for every other fna of those movies, go read this book!
"Highlands Christmas" by Amy Quick Parrish is a cozy, festive read set against the picturesque backdrop of Scotland. The story follows Melissa MacKenzie, an American interior designer, whose life takes unexpected turns during a holiday trip. While the atmosphere and Scottish setting are enchanting, the plot feels a bit rushed, leaving some threads underdeveloped. However, it’s a delightful escape for anyone seeking a light, heartwarming Christmas romance. Perfect for a quick holiday read, but it might leave you wanting a bit more depth.
I was first drawn to this book via the adorable cover and a setting promising Christmas in the Highlands. If you are looking for a fluffy Christmas story this one was easy and quick with a lovely blend of romance and Scottish folklore.
This book is the first with the second book taking place at New Years. I love that transition!

Highlands Christmas - Wishes Come True is a standalone Christmas romance by Amy Quick Parrish. This was a fun Christmas book that felt like a Hallmark Christmas movie.
I loved the story and the characters. This was such a sweet book and I could not put it down! This is the first book I’ve read by the author and I look forward to reading more books by her!
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
This was a fun, sweet romance set in Scotland over the Christmas holidays that I couldn’t put down and read in a day.
What do you get when you mix a recently dumped woman on her way to Scotland to claim her inherited home and her ex’s divorce attorney? A whirlwind romance that has Melissa discovering her true self and finding her confidence. Hunky Scot Colin is perfect parts swoonworthy and sensitive. This is the perfect, quick, holiday rom-com to bring a smile to your face.
Many thanks to the publisher and Net Galley for the opportunity to read this book in exchange for my honest opinion. I gave it four stars.

This is a highland novella where a husband brings his new mistress and asks his wife Melissa for a divorce so he can move in with his new girlfriend. While this happens Melissa had gotten a letter that she received a house in Scotland.
While in Scotland she keeps meeting Colin, her husband's lawyer who is Scottish and on a holiday. They keep bumping into each other and Melissa starts to realize this man and this country is what she wants for her future.
A fun fast read that Scotland lovers will love!

If you enjoy Christmas books this one for the story is a first something you won't be disappointed with this book
Nice, quick holiday read. I did think the main female character was a bit too much. I liked the descriptions of Scotland and the culture there.
Highlands Christmas was a quick and charming holiday read. It follows Melissa McKenzie as she embarks on an adventure to Scotland after her life was turned upside down. Honestly, this book felt like reading a Hallmark Christmas movie. For me, this isn’t a bad thing as I absolutely love those. Most people dislike them for being too predictable or repetitive with their storylines but I love a cute story in a beautiful setting with a happy ending. This was a 5 star read for me and I cannot wait to read the next book!
Highlands Christmas is all the things you'd like out of a book that is 122 pages, but I struggled with the timeline. I understand her husband is a piece of shit that cheated on her and left, but we're to believe that she's just immediately over it and falls in love with his divorce attorney? I like the premise, but I wish it had been longer so their relationship grew, not just a whambamthankyoumaam of a situation where they're in insta-love but she was "blindsided" by her husband's infidelity and subsequent divorce.
All in all, it's a cute story but I struggled with the overall timeline.
"Highlands Christmas" by Amy Quick Parrish is a delightful addition to any Christmas-themed reading list. Despite a rocky start to the holiday season with a devastating divorce announcement, Melissa finds hope in an unexpected inheritance from Scotland. As she embarks on a journey to claim her new home, she encounters Colin, a charming attorney, whose warmth and integrity quickly win her over. The meet-cute between Melissa and Colin is both playful and heartwarming, setting the stage for a sweet romance amidst the backdrop of the Scottish Highlands during Christmas. With charming characters and festive holiday festivities, this book is perfect for readers seeking an endearing holiday romance.
What a cute and quick holiday read! It gave all the cozy holiday vibes I look for in a holiday book. This is one I will definitely read again next holiday season!
This is the first book I have read by Amy Quick Parrish but it certainly won’t be the last. If you love the holiday season you will love this magical novella.
Melissa finds out her husband wants a divorce at the same time as she receives a letter saying she has inherited an old house in Scotland. It seems fate is determined to send her to Edinburgh where she meets a charming Scottish-American lawyer at the airport. What follows is a magical tale as this couple head to the same small town.
A magical read with all the feels good feelings you want from the holiday season. A cute story with sweet characters.
I received a copy from the publisher through Netgalley
fun adventurous hallmark vibes had me hooked from the beginning
felt like the characters needed more time to get to know one another but super fun read for Christmas
I enjoyed the story. A holiday, feel good romance. I liked how everyone that Melissa interacted with in her new home town meant so much to her. There are a couple of highly unlikely events but it was cute.
I received a copy of this from NetGalley.
