I wish I could say I like this book but it didn’t work for me. It was a cute story line and I liked the progress of it all but it did become my favorite book.

Highlands Christmas Wishes Come True was a great holiday read. One to take on holiday or sitting in front of a roaring fire.

It hits all the right notes.

A sweet cozy Christmas romance that is absolutely going on my holiday reading list! Highland Christmas takes you to beautiful Scotland at Christmas. Follow Melissa on her journey to create a new life in the Highlands, as she makes new friends, faces hardships, and men in kilts!

Melissa MacKenzie, an interior designer, believed in her picture-perfect marriage until it crumbled before her eyes, thanks to her husband Dave's affair and subsequent demand for a divorce, leaving her without their home. However, fate takes an unexpected turn when she inherits a property in Scotland. En route to Inverness, Melissa encounters Colin McGregor, none other than her ex-husband's Scottish divorce lawyer, who coincidentally resides in the same town as her new home. Sparks fly, leading Melissa and Colin down a path of romantic discovery. This holiday romance novel captivated me with its charming tale of love found in the least expected places.

This was a very quick read at just over 120 pages. It was a cute novella perfect for the holiday season, but I wanted more from it. It felt like the narration style was often telling us what was happening, and the Scottish highland setting lent itself to more of a showing, descriptive prose that I felt was lacking.

Thank you to NetGalley for providing me with an ARC in exchange for my honest thoughts.

This was a great short story! Although I wish it was a bit longer. That would've made it even better. Things were moving pretty fast and I couldn't really connect with the characters. But there was a cute little puppy to remedy that. Puppies make everything better!

I'm so glad I received this copy through Netgally.

What an adorable story to start off the Christmas season! I felt like I was watching one of those movies I usually watch at Christmas.

I loved Melissa and the development she got throughout the story. Although I would have liked to go a little deeper into the romance between the characters, I can't deny that I had a lot of fun reading this book.

This was a fun, fairly quick read. The Scottish adventures had me laughing out loud. Ms. Parrish is talented and wrote a really great book.

This is such a cute and sweet holiday story - and the best part is that it's set in Scotland. :) I adore Scotland as a setting, especially for romance, but sometimes they miss the mark. This one certainly HIT the mark, and I know I'll return to it during the holidays next year too.

A cute Christmas themed novella about starting over. After her husband tells her he wants a a divorce AND the house, Melissa discovers she inherited a house in Scotland, so she packs up her stuff and leaves. This is the first is a series, and I can’t wait to read book 2,

If you’re looking for a sweet, fun, festive read, this book is perfect: it’s like a hallmark movie come to life. And Scottish men… what’s not to love?!

This book was exactly what I was looking for--fun, quick & easy read, holiday romance! Melissa gets some bad news from her husband and, shortly after, gets some good news by way of a rather large inheritance! While dealing with the blows of her husband not only wanting a divorce, he also lets her know he wants their shared house, too. As luck would have it, Melissa finds out she could be inheriting a home in Scotland and makes the decision to move to Edinburgh. She's not even off American soil before she meets Colin, a Scottish attorney who just happens to be her ex-husband's attorney, but she doesn't let that stop her from finding her Scottish happily ever after. Great description of scenery and activities and loved how friendly all the people in Melissa's new hometown were to her!

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
This was such a cute story, with a holiday feel and lots of romance. It a very short read so more like a novella than a book but I enjoyed it.
