There were some twists that I enjoyed, but a lot of it was predictable, I wish I liked it more than I did as I usually enjoy reading thrillers.

I enjoyed this book although I did feel it had a predictability about it throughout . Some good string characters and the obligatory twists .

Emily is invited onto a glamorous cruise ship by an old friend, and quickly realises that pretty much everyone on board has a secret, Emily included. Thus follows lots of scenes of people whispering, running around and getting hit over the head with things.

This is just a very typical thriller. The whole story plays out at surface level and neither the plot nor the characters have any real depth. In fact, I can honestly say I didn't like any of the characters. A few nice twists and a decent pace make this an ok read, but don't expect this to grip you.

If you like your thrillers light, this will work for you.

I enjoyed reading this thriller. The beginning immediately interested me, I was really curious to find out what was going on between them and how the story was going to unfold. I give it three stars. It was easy to read and interesting, but not as much tension as I had expected and I didn't like some of the twists in the story.

Unfolding locked room mystery set on a luxury cruise ship owned by the Scarmando Family. Old friend and fellow crew member Emily is invited by Belle to join her and her new husband and adult step children on a free trip. Why haven't they spoken in three years, who were the pirates who kidnapped Belle and when exactly did she meet her millionaire husband, was it before the death of his wife? Mysteries abound...

DNF at around 20%. I think I would have read more of this if I was stuck by the pool during a hot summer day, but as it's September and there's other books I can read instead I will not be finishing it. The writing style isn't for me and the narrative didn't grip me at all and for a thriller it failed to build up the necessary suspense. However, this book might just be among my top five best covers of the year - it looks glossy and inviting and it would make someone look really cool reading it by the pool! I would love to have the cover as a print to hang on a wall.

This story takes us on the cruise with Emily as she try’s to reconcile her friendship with Belle, and to meet the wealthy and influential family Belle has married into.

Belles new husband owns the luxury cruise ship and Belle invites Emily along for its maiden voyage.

Emily soon learns that the Scamardo family have lots of secrets and Belles new step children are not her biggest fan…

Lots of lies and secrets are revealed, I enjoyed the flashbacks about the breakdown of Emily and Belles friendship, and narration by the previous wife who mysteriously died.

A bit of a slow burner but I was engrossed in the story and it would be a great summer holiday read.

Thank you NetGalley, Rachel Wolf and Aria & Aries - Head of Zeus for allowing me to read this book before it’s release 📚💫

Five nights was a brilliantly executed thriller. So many twists and turns I didn’t see half of them coming. The setting on the luxurious cruise ship cleverly took you to the world of the very very rich. The awkward relationships between the ‘best’ friends, the siblings, the happy couple all curve balled so unexpectedly. A brilliant read form start to finish. I will be looking forward to another gripping thriller from Rachel Wolf.

Fun. A bit of a younger voice than I usually read - felt a bit like a mills and boon with all the sexy billionaires but a well paced, suspenseful read.

Thank you to Netgallery and the publisher for this ARC. The publication date is the 29th Feb 2024. This is the first book I’ve read from this author and it won’t be the last. This book was a suspenseful read with lots of gripping moments that kept me wanting to read to find out what happens next for example who was sending the notes I had so many questions!!

The characters I felt were well written my favourite one was Belle as I would always what would happen next. Overall, a great book with lots of mystery perfect book for the psychological thrillers lovers alike!

I really the premise of this! The mystery kept me completely hooked. All the characters were HIGHLY unlikeable but because that is the intention, I enjoyed it. It's fast paced and I loved having the book broken down into the different days. It's one of my favourite formats. It really sped the book up and I struggled to put it down.

I didn't really like the "secret baby daddy" storyline but I fully appreciate it added an extra mystery element.

Really appreciated the idea but just felt the execution fella little short for me.

The whole concept of a warring billionaire family trapped for five days on a yacht had a lot of potential - I’m not sure whether it’s because it‘s an uncorrected proof but some of the writing perhaps needed another line read because I felt like I was taken out of the novel when I stumbled over some of the sentences and the way they were worded.

I also wish I had a bit more time to get to know young Belle and Emily - it was hard to really empathise with Emily's dedication to their friendship when I didn't really feel as though I understood them as friends. I did think the backstory of the Scarmado's and their matriarch was a real strong point though!

Some of it was pretty far fetched, edging on the side of plot holes, but ultimately you have to appreciate it for what it is, and it clearly worked because I read it in a day and was excited to see where the story went next.

Thanks to NetGalley and Aria and Aries for the ARC

Emily and Belle used to be inserapable, however an incident three years ago changed that. Now single mother Emily has received an invite to go on a 5 day cruise with Belle who is now married to Mattia Scarmados. Over the course of five nights, this book will take you on an adventure with the Scarmados- a rich family with plenty of hidden secrets.

I found this book slow to start however as the chapters went on I became hooked and couldn't wait to uncover the secrets and lies. I equally liked and despised the characters. I liked the style of writing especially the pace at the end- this made for a thrilling end. I loved the setting, this is a perfect holiday read.

This is an action packed thriller, a good holiday read if you like the genre. The past comes back to haunt, family inheritance is threatened, and in the middle is Emily caught up in this on a ship with no where to run too. Five nights to right wrongs or it might just be the death of her. Thank you to Aria and Aries, Head of Zeus and NetGalley for the ARC. The views expressed are all mine, freely given.

“A powerful family. A luxury cruise. A killer on board…
You’re invited to join the infamous Scarmado family on a five night voyage aboard their glamorous new ship. It’s a chance to see your best friend, Belle, newly married to Mattia Scarmado. You haven’t seen her in years.”

This was such an enjoyable read! Five Nights is a fast paced thriller with characters hiding a lot of secrets from each other and all will be revealed as the book goes on. The characters were dealt well done by Rachel and I enjoyed having the book separated into different days, as it amped up the pace and overall I could not put this book down! I loved the rich people vibes and the drama that unfolded and it kept me guessing all the way through.

Thank you to @netgalley @headofzeus and @rachelwolfauthor for the opportunity to read Five Nights, all opinions are my own. The book will be releasing 29th February 2024!

This is the perfect beach read - I loved it! Easy to get into the story, lots of fast pace stuff, twists, turns, glitz and glamour, what's not to like! Thoroughly recommend it for a quick, easy, but exciting read!

It was difficult to put this book down as Emily, from a very modest background, finds herself in at the deep end when her friend invites her onto the maiden voyage of a luxurious yacht with her wealthy but seemingly disfunctional family. We are kept guessing who is friend or foe throughout as the tension builds and the story gradually reveals all.

This book is great for readers who are new to thrillers or just want an easy read. This plot has murder, affairs, poison, death threats and lots of twists and turns. All elements of a really good thriller. However, I felt that the book starts off a bit slow and at chapter sixteen I wanted to DNF this book. I'm glad I perservered as it got better and the pace picked up from there. The characters each have their own personality and neither one over shadows the other. They all have their own place. Overall this book is good and if I saw another book by Rachel Wolf I would pick it up. I would like a sequel just so I could see how the scarmardo family are after their traumatic five nights on this boat

Oh I loved this so much ! It was so intense and gripping! I couldn’t put it down. It was also very unique. Full of huge secrets and lies. your can’t trust no one. Even with so many main characters they are written so well you feel like you know each one. Trying to unravel. their lies is crazy you think you have it all figured out but nope the twists start coming. The cruise ship started amazing I could literally picture my self enjoying the sun and food. The Scarmados are one interesting crazy family. Their father marries Belle who’s younger than his 3 oldest not long after their mother dies on a boat accident. Emily if Belle’s best friend but after pirates rob the ship they worked on and Belle is kidnapped for 3 days they don’t talk for 3 years. 5 days on a cruise ship will see this family and Emily go on a crazy wild ride. You just can’t put it down the craziness doesn’t stop. It’s a great mystery book they keeps you so emerged in the story you won’t be able to put it down.
