There is definitely an up front warning about all the triggers you will encounter and that this person is not a "writer". Well...he ain't lying about that. I admire that he felt the need to get his story out there and work through all the baggage. It is obviously an attempt to heal some serious stuff. So more power to him. This was kind of a rambling mess and very hard to follow. I am no better for having read it...but I bet he is better for having written it.

This was based upon a true story and was just really a struggle to read and slug through. Unfortunately it wasn’t for me.

Give me a thriller with some explosive sex scenes and you can count me in.

After reading the description for "I'm Sleeping", I figured this would be a shoe in for a book to love. However, it came up a bit short. Im not saying that I didn't like it because there were definitely elements that had my pulse racing and heart beating but I feel as though something was lacking.

Mel and Matthew's relationship kept me interested but didn't do enough to pull me in.

I hope to see Matthew Fist come back with a great hit !

While i realize the author states that this is based on real life the drama and suspense that is implied from the description of this book does not live up to the hype. I had considered DNF this book but continued through it. In my opinion the writing was repetitive and story line did not develop. The one thing that kept my interest was waiting to read the explanation of the things that Mel was hiding from Matthew but overall, this was monotonous.

Well, this book was painful and disturbing, specially knowing it is a true story. It was very repetitive also. I wish I could read the summary he sent to the others.
They were clearly not meant to be together. At best it was trust issues from one side, at worst manipulation from both sides. I wish the author well and hope he heals in ti.me.
