This book is a fun read if you live around noisy neighbors, whether in a city or in an apartment building. It is witty and has many laughs. The pictures are colorful and engaging. I think kids and adults alike will enjoy this book.

Who is this for? No story, not funny, the best panel is the cover. Maybe as a passive aggressive gift to your upstairs neighbors? Too expensive to be an impulse buy though.

Me and my children enjoyed this story with all the characters within. It's about how neighbors that are noisy. And earplugs might help keep out the noises.

This was a fun story to read. It gave the idea that if you live in a city in a big building you could have noisy neighbors that live around you. This book had action and drama throughout. It had quite a few laughs and giggles within. The illustrations were funny and colorful.

I received a complimentary copy via Netgalley. This is my honest unbiased opinions.

This is just a fun coffee table book that illustrates different ways to have noisy upstairs neighbors. Many of the vignettes are quite funny, and they make me very glad I do not have a team of clog dancers living one floor up.

Lol!!!! This book was so on point. Living in an apartment at various times, I can identify with the pictures. Lots of banging on the ceiling!!!! The pictures depicting various scenarios are so correct. If you need a light, funny read, this is the book that gives you that. Thanks to NetGalley, the author and the publisher of this book for the ARC in return for my review. Receiving the book in this manner had no bearing on my review.

Back when the world was new, and I was young and hopeful, I lived in a basement apartment within walking distance of my then job. For a while it was nearly the best of times. My rent was $145 a month, and the guy above me slept all day and worked in a factory all night. Perfect. Then he moved out, and a single mom moved in. Her hyperactive daughter's name was probably something like Braylee or Shaylee, but I called her Thumper. Everywhere she went, she apparently leapt like a gazelle, and landed like a walrus. (A walrus being dropped from a great height.) I plotted my escape, and vowed I'd never live under anyone's feet again.

Cartoonist Luke McGarry has also apparently lived underneath Thumper, or someone very much like her, and has let his imagination run wild as to what might be going on in the apartment upstairs. Bowling? Pogo stick races? Dressage? You name it. If it makes noise you can bet the people upstairs are doing it.

I like McGarry's art, and got quite a few chuckles out of this, but at a scant 72 pages, it doesn't seem worth the price. Still, if you're looking for a swell housewarming gift, this would fill the bill. Or give it to your upstairs neighbors. At least they'll have to sit quietly reading for a few minutes.

The cover of this book convinced me that it was going to be a great read and that I wouldn't regret downloading this ARC. However, cover's can be tricky and I was shocked that this book didn't really include more than just pictures. I figured there would at least be descriptions underneath the pictures, but alas, there wasn't. I would highly not recommend this book.

I enjoyed this very quick read and it made me laugh out loud multiple times because we’ve all experienced most if not all of the cartoons in this book. The guy djing for his multiple cats was one of ,g faves in this though sadly didn’t experience that in real life like the others.

Pretty funny. I liked all the crazy situations that make noise to neighboring apartments. I do not miss living in an apartment.

Great illustrations. I enjoyed how the sounds escalated and anyone who’s experienced apartment living can relate!

Thank you for the EARC. If you have a literal 2 minutes go ahead and pick up this book. There isn’t much to it other than multiples of onomatopoeias. I did enjoy the Blondie like illustrations as it gives it an old school feel but I don’t really love this as a book someone would pay good money for.

A pretty quick "read". If you like the cover, you'll likely like the book. I think that everyone will have their favorite pages, mine were 58, 59 and 61.

I can see this as a gift for someone who just moved into a new apartment.

Thank you to NetGalley for introducing me to books that I may have missed. Thank you to the author Luke McGarry who is a British-born cartoonist and animator; his clients include New Yorker, Playboy and MAD Magazine. Thank you to Chronicle Books publishing for approving my request to review the advance review copy of Keep It Down Up There! This review is an honest review in exchange for the opportunity to read the advance read copy.

This is a fun, cheeky book that would work well as a gag gift. I liked how the examples kept escalating until they got ridiculous and absurd.

I really liked this book. Have you ever said, "what on earth is happening up there?" Luke McGarry has thought of everything and more. From the basic making a smoothie to chainsaws and elephants. His graphics are wonderful, full of color and detail yet simple enough for a child to enjoy. Each picture is packed with action words that attack your senses. Keep this book handy for times you need a lift or if you're frustrated and need a distraction to turn your mood around or even pass the time when your waiting for an appointment. This book would be a great gift for all ages. Enjoy.

Great cartoons about noisy neighbors upstairs. Very funny, very cute, laugh out loud, and sympathy to those who have to listen. The book covers just about every possible situation, and some impossible situations, and ends with a brilliant, subtle, and apt joke. Fun read, just the thing to QUIET the mind.

Keep It Down Up There was very funny, a perfect gift for any apartment dweller. I loved how the scenarios of noisemaking got wackier as the book went on. Very entertaining!
