Baking is something I enjoy and I also enjoy sharing my creations with others. But I am not an expert and always love a good cookbook that really helps me to achieve the results I want and this book did just that.

This book makes it very easy to bake a wonderful cake, dessert or biscuit. The instructions are easy to follow and the recipes are to die for. I have been enjoying trying some recipes I have never tried before and that is always fun. There are greats hints and tips, ideas and instructions on how to bake and enjoy.

I am slowly working my way through this tasty and yummy cookbook and my friends and family are enjoying every minute of it too.

Thank you NetGalley and Quarto Publishing Group for giving me the opportunity to read and review this book. YUM!

A great intro to baking with recipes sorted by style of mixing / combining ingredients. I loved that it had a how to read a recipe section since this is something just assumed by most. I wish it had a little bit easier of an intro level of recipes, but over all, most of these recipes look lovely and achievable. Great photos!

I find baking very stressful sometimes, and I know it’s due to the lack of knowledge I have. This book has helped me to be a bit better at it.

I like how the book is focused on teaching through practice. By following the recipes and the techniques you can learn to bake better.

Rather than being organized by entrées and desserts, this cookbook focuses on how to bake using several recipes to teach a specific method. These range from easy dry + wet ingredients to kneading, whisking, and cramming your ingredients. Recipes range from classics to fresh takes on common dishes.

This is a cookbook that will appeal to beginners- and I mean beginners. This book would teach Moira Schitt how to fold in the cheese in a few easy to follow steps, plus other easy to follow baking processes.

To make the book even better, simple yet lovely desserts and savories follow the how-to directions. I can’t wait to try the Egg White Cake with Strawberry Icing and the Pound Cake. I’m even tempted to try the scones and I’ve never met a scone that I couldn’t make double as a brick. These directions make me think I could do it this time! I understand the necessity (and the process) of “Rubbing In” the butter to the flour now. Before, I thought it was just a different, unnecessary method similar to how we do things in the good ol’ USA.

This would make a great gift for newlyweds or a housewarming gift.

I, like many, enjoy baking shows but, in no way, consider myself a baker. This book will definitely help me to become one.

I like many things about this title. There are many photos to guide the baker and the directions are clear. The organization of this book is unique and helpful. Chapters have headings like:

The Measure & Mix Method

The Creaming Method

The Whisking Egg Whites Method

The Kneading Method (and so on)

Recipes follow each of these methods so that bakers can learn them.

Begin by reading the Before You Bake section. It is helpful. Then make anything from Pound Cake to Chocolate Macadamia & Orange Tart and much more.

Highly recommended for those who are learning and other bakers who may enjoy these recipes.

Many thanks to NetGalley and Quarto Publishing Group for this title. All opinions are my own.
