Meant for me

I COULD NOT PUT THIS BOOK DOWN. If I could, I would’ve read it in one sitting.
I would recommend checking for tw before diving in.

From start to finish, this book was the most WHOLESOME read. I cried, I laughed, I swooned.

This story follows Addie’s life after immense tragedies as she experiences grief, new life experiences, and love all while learning to heal herself. I love that the author showed that ultimately, it’s within yourself to heal and not the expectations of others to heal you. My heart absolutely shattered for Addie and all she went through. Her strength is unmatched. I wish I could hug her.

Zac. Truly a character who will go down as one of my most adored fictional men of all time. My heart did leaps for this man. He is everything. And why is it that i suddenly want to be called “ma’am?” 😂🫠

I absolutely adored all the characters in this book. It all felt so real, so relatable, and so validating.

Hands down, one of my favorite reads. It was absolutely heartbreaking and beautiful all in one.

I cannot wait to have a copy of this physical book. I already know I’ll be re-reading it right away.

Thank you Netgalley and Tay Marley for allowing me this ARC. Congratulations on the adult debut! Excited to read more from this author.

Well this book did an emotional number on me. This was such a well written book from an author I am so glad I have discovered. A book that navigated dealing with grief beautifully. Small town vibes as well... just an hidden gem of a book. I hope this gets the hype it deserves upon release in Feb 2024

Ugh, what a tear-jerker - this one ripped my heart out multiple times and stomped on it! Addie experienced way more than most people should at her age. While the chemistry between her and Zac was well-written, I wish we learned more about them...I would have loved more of his journal entries! Some parts lagged a bit, but overall it was a quick and enjoyable read - her writing style and topics remind me a lot of Colleen Hoover! Thanks for the ARC in exchange for my review!

📖 𝙈𝙚𝙖𝙣𝙩 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙈𝙚 𝙗𝙮 𝙏𝙖𝙮 𝙈𝙖𝙧𝙡𝙚𝙮

Addie May is stumbling through her life after the sudden loss of her sister. When she fleas her home and heads to Texas, she finds herself taken in by a family who owns a farm. While trying to work through her grief and trauma, she becomes friends with Zac. Through glimpses of her past we learn of Addie’s life before coming to Texas. Zac and his family help her begin to heal old wounds and find love along the way. Soon Addie realizes that maybe, she was meant to end up there all along.

This book broke my heart at least 2 times while reading. Addie had gone through so much at such a young age and was still trying to recover from it years later. More than once something happened that I didn’t see coming! There were several heartwarming scenes with Willa, the step daughter of Zac’s sister. Willa was probably the best character in the whole book! Protect Willa at all costs!
I loved how this book talked about life after loss, the benefits of therapy, and healing yourself without expecting another person to heal you.

There was quite a bit of chemistry between Zac and Addie but I felt like there could have been a better development of their relationship. It was nice to get Zac’s POV through some of his journal entries. The spice was minimal but still nice! Spice level: 2🌶️

Tropes: small town romance, grief, life after loss, dual time line, infertility, traumatic loss, therapy

🩶Thank you NetGalley for an ARC of Meant for Me in exchange for my honest review! This book will be available to read on February 13, 2024!

All I can say is WOW!!

I absolutely adored this book, from the first page I was hooked, and I’m so thankful I got the chance to read it. (Even though it had me sobbing in places)

Meant for me follows the journey of Addie May who struggles through grief, adulthood and motherhood, set in the beautiful countryside in Georgetown Texas. Following Addies story of overcoming her grief and finding herself and love along the way was so sweet to follow and really pulled at the heartstrings.

I loved the scene building, the character building and the plot was fantastic, the characters were so easy to fall inlove with, I especially adored Willa and her character throughout the book, she was absolutely adorable!

I overall loved everything about this book from the writing style to the whole plot line, and it 100% deserves the five stars.

I want to start off saying thank you for letting me read this advance copy of Meant For Me. I have had this copy for several weeks now and unfortunately it has not been able to hole my interest. I have finished 25% of the book, just finished chapter 8 and am calling it quits. The pace of the story is just not for me. It just keeps dragging on and on. I feel like I’ve gotten very little from the first part of the book.

I don't even know where to begin with a review for this book.

Tay Marley truly takes readers on an emotional rollercoaster with her small town romance book. This book is very much suited for adults and has such an unsuspecting cover that I was not expecting the spicy scenes to be so spicy. I felt truly sad for our girl Addie, and I also felt really happy for her and Zac. There were also times where Milo was not my favourite character, I hated Zac for a bit, and my feelings for Raine never changed. I want to read this again for the first time, and I so badly want to experience all the emotions I had felt.

This book is so different from others I have read before. The characters had an immediate connection but it is done in such a way that is less cringeworthy than other reads. One of the main reasons why this book is so different is with romance books they are normally predictable and have overly cheesy lines, but this left me unable to predict anything that would happen. It all unfolded in front of you without any hint of what could happen, and that is why I love it so much.

There are some spelling errors I noticed in this book but that can easily be fixed and is not a major issue at all. I have no complaints about the writing style, the characters, the plot, or anything else negative to say about Meant for Me.

In other words, I guess you can say this book was Meant For me, and I'm so grateful for an opportunity to read this book.

Thank you Netgalley and the publishers for letting me read an advanced copy and letting me review it. I absolutely fell in love with this book it tugs at your heartstrings (especially mine) This book captured my attention and I did not put it down. I love how it showed what grief is and how the main character went through her own up/ downs of how she was handling grief. I would 100% recommend and tell everyone to read this book. I cant wait until more people get to read it and what they think of it.

God, I am not an emotional reader but this book truly did a number on me. I cried so much. Tears of joy, sadness and grief. I fell so in love with the world and characters in this book.

I cannot stress enough how beautifully grief was discussed and accepted within this book, it kind of felt like therapy.

This book is about making the most out of awful situations, learning to live and finding family in others.

I have nothing bad to say about this book, I loved it. I will 100% buy a physical copy and read it to death because it brought me that much peace and comfort.

I loved everything about this book. (Maybe except Hanna😂) I easily fell in love with every character. It’s more than just a love story. It takes you through the ups and downs of grief and even parenthood. Just when I thought I knew what was gunna happen, twice, she through me for a loop. Grateful I was able to get my hands on this early, I can’t wait for everyone to have a chance to read it!
