This one was my daughter's favorite out of all the Mill Street books. She loved how big he got and that he had friends that would help him in the end. Spectacular artwork!
This book is all about teaching a child how to deal with their anger. The illustrations are well-designed. It helps kids understand what happens when they don't control their anger when upset. I suggest this to anyone with kids who need help with advice on how to help their child cope with their feelings.
Love Always, Catherine
The Angriest Monster on Mill Street tells the story of Albie, who one day becomes SO ANGRY that he destroys the town around him. The story follows Albie as he learns to cope with his anger, and lean on his friends.
This was such a fun, well paced and engaging read. The use of metaphor for the spiral of anger, the impact on others, and the ways of coping was simple and accessible for children. The story is told in a validating and normalising manner, but helps children to understand the impact of anger and the alternative ways of coping.
The illustrations are crisp, bright, and capture the emotional experience of Albie really well. I loved the way that mindfulness was presented both in the prose and illustrations, in a way that is easy for caregivers and children to practice together.
Thank you ViaNova Productions, and NetGalley for a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed are my own.
A relatable little book with monsters you want as friends. The monster learns to control his anger and takes action to fix things he has ruined. Nice life lessons without saying they are "bad" for being angry.
This story is so cute and fun!! A great way to teach children how to cope with anger!! Definitely something I will use in my therapy practice!
Thank you ViaNova for the opportunity to read and review this book!
Albie is the small by angry monster from Mill Street, When he doesn't control his temper he finds himself in a very large mess. This is a very cute book which can be used to discuss big emotions in small children. Sometimes kids can feel out of control and this book shows them that with some work they can get back to normal.
The illustrations are colorful and interesting. And this is a quick read.
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
Loved this book and the other two from this author! So light and rhyme-y but also appealing to littles with bright colors, relatable characters with big feelings. Highly recommend for the little ones in your life.
Read this with my kids, we all enjoyed it. We enjoy the book series of other emotions & use it as a learning tool. Thank you for a copy.
What a great way to discuss anger and methods for anger management with kids! I read the story with my children, and it provided such a great starting point to talk through emotions and possible ways to handle anger and other negative emotions.
This book is a great resource to help children understand how anger works and provide them with the tools to identify when they are feeling angry. I could see this used in classrooms or read aloud at home

I enjoyed this adorable monster series. I had received the first two but missed out on this until a little later.
Makes for fun reading time for the smallies for sure together with the bounciest and scariest monsters :) it is a clever and adorable way to introduce various actions or emotions to the smallies.

I really liked reading this one to my 3 year old who is having trouble expressing his anger and frustration appropriately. He enjoyed the story as well as the angry monster. But I think this one will be a staple for us going forward while navigating his Big Feelings.
The Angriest Monster on Mill Street by Sarah Sparks was on repeat for two weeks in our house. My 3-year-old loved it. She was excited every time we started to read the book.
The book is so good, so bright and great
I think it's safe to say that The Angriest Monster on Mill Street by Sarah Sparks and Sypha Vendez is my new favorite children's book! Just like The Messiest Monster on Mill Street and The Bounciest Monster on Mill Street, this children's book had the cutest story and the most adorable illustrations. The Monsters on Mill Street book series has quickly become a new favorite and I can not wait to read more from Sarah and Sypha.
Thank you Netgalley for allowing me to read and review this book.
This book is great on teaching children what happens when becoming angry. This book also teaches on how to treat others and to be kind.
This was a very bright and colorful book. The characters and illustrations were very cute. I love the underlying lesson that is within the story. My toddler liked these but he wasn’t overly excited about reading them, however I would definitely recommend for ages 2-6 years.
Me and my children enjoyed this story with all the characters within. Its about an monster that is angry about something. He decides to try something else but that doesn't go as planed and he gets angrier. His angrier gets bigger and bigger. Until something happens to him.
This was a fun story to read. It had action and adventure throughout. It had a few giggles within. The illustrations were colorful and went along with the story well.
I received a complimentary copy via Netgalley. This is my honest unbiased opinions.
We loved all of the books in this series! Can't wait to see if she comes out with more. These are perfect to use in a classroom.
Another wonderful behavior book with the most adorable monsters. We love the Monsters on Mill Street! Perfect for anyone who wants tips on how to control their anger and/or anyone whos anger sometimes gets out of control and needs to clean up the mess.
Pleasantly rhymed, adequately drawn, this looks at an excessively angry monster – the type to go on a full-on Godzilla rampage, and flood the town with tears of desperation and upset. The pattern of these books is to take a very relatable critter and blow everything up till the proportions stretch, and Albie's size does the same here as he gets to be such a danger it will take all the mindfulness, awareness of small details and (spoiler) rainbows to calm him down. If that can't be related to, and used as transferable skills, I don't know what can, though, making these books rough and ready successes. Certainly, many such have an inferior mix of entertainment and lesson.
