My first book by Freida wasn’t my favorite but the twists and turns were fun. I plan to read more of her books because I can’t resist a thriller!
This book had me on my toes 😮💨😮💨😮💨😮💨 How to write this review without so many expletives because that last chapter got me messed uppppp 🤣🤣🤣🫨🫨
There was like 8 twists in here and when I thought it was all done there was one final one that literally had my jaw to the floor and me clutching my kindle for dear life 🤣🤣 I love this book and every book I have read by her. Keep a open mind and enjoy yall
Yes I recommend, 10/10, read it, then message me for moral support 🫶🏾🫶🏾🫶🏾🫶🏾
The Teacher is now one of my favorite books from Frieda McFadden because of the thriller/gore aspect of this book. Highly recommend if you want more thriller I turn people to this book!
This book was so good. Definitely did not expect the ending. I had to scrape my jaw off the floor! I read this book in 2 sittings and it only took that long because I had to work. I never want Freida to stop writing books!
Frieda McFadden does it again. I never expected the twist at the end of this book. It kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time wondering what would happen next.
I'm a fan of Freida's addictive page turning thrillers, this must have been my sixth one! It was yet another highly addictive, fast paced story that kept me on the edge of my seat! I had no idea where this was going, in some of her others I felt like the plot twists were more predictable, but this one was interesting! Always recommend Freida to someone wanting a quick read or are wanting to start reading thrillers.
Loved it! Love frieda! Keeps you on the edge of your seat the whole time! Twist and turns on every page. And Noone us who you think they are.
Freida McFadden is my favorite mystery author. With that being said, this was my least favorite of her books. It still had all of the twists and turns that I enjoy in a thriller, but I couldn't get past the teacher-student relationship. I'm sure some people have no problem reading that, given that it's fiction, but personally I wouldn't have read the book had I known that was an aspect of it.
This was insane. So easy to read and get into and very hard to put down. When I got to the end my jaw literally dropped like I just did not see it coming.
This was ridiculously f'd up and not realistic in the slightest, but dear lord was I hooked from the very beginning. Was it like watching a train wreck? Perhaps, but it was so messy in the best possible way. I don't think this one went in as many off the wall directions as the Housemaid did, which in some ways I think made it a better, tighter book? I'm talking myself into a 5 star here...
The ending of this book shook me to my core. Never in a million years did I see this coming. WHAT DID I JUST READ?
I love all of Freida McFadden books! I loved this book and the relationship! I love the mystery and I did enjoy the twists and turns. This one did disappoint. It was mind blowing! I had a great time and would recommend to anyone who loves a thriller.
This was my first Freida McFadden book and I was interested to see why she is so popular. I feel like she might be this year’s Colleen Hoover. The only thing that I liked about this is that it was over quickly. There was so much going on with the plot, much of it implausible and very disturbing. It wasn’t the worst book I’ve ever read, but it doesn’t make me want to quickly read another.
This started off interesting, but I had trouble getting into it. It is the ending that will keep me from recommending it. Really it is out there. I think she was going for shocking but instead it was unbelievable.
2 stars.
Well, I don't think I would recommend this book unless you're in the mood for something mindless and inane. I finished it quickly, but there are some storylines that didn't add up, and the ending was ridiculous. I enjoyed The Housemaid series by this author, but this one was just cringingly bad.
I love Freida McFadden books; however, I did not love the teacher/student relationship trope in this book. Overall, I really did enjoy it, and the ending was absolutely mind-blowing! I love surprises, and this one did not disappoint!
Definitely one of my favorite books by her. Read it months ago and still think and talk about this book all the time.
Nate and Eve have what seems like the perfect marriage on the surface but that only runs skin deep. Secrets, lies, and betrayals all play a part in this thriller by one of my favorite authors. Definitely read this. But check triggers because it does cover some disturbing subject matter
The Teacher by Freida McFadden
I have read every book by Freida McFadden and eagerly await the next one. Ms. McFadden writes psychological thrillers; each one unique in her approach. She makes her characters come to life and I can picture each one in my mind as I am reading. Every time I think I know what is happening, she throws in a twist you never expect.
The Teacher is no different. Eve is a teacher at the local high school. Addie is a student there and has shaken the entire school by having a relationship with a teacher and creating a shocking scandal. No one trusts Abbie but is she as evil as others think she is?
Pick up a copy of this amazing book and find out for yourself.

This thrilling tale has multiple Point of views. It starts off with a teenage girl Addie and one of her teachers Eve. Then comes Eve’s handsome husband Nate’s POV.
It has a teacher student relationship and a miserable marriage intertwined into a great story line.
Addie becomes obsessed with her male teacher and you can imagine where that goes. Eve is a bored wife who loves shoes. So much she even has a romance with the shoe clerk.
Loved that there were two plot twists in the end. Definitely one of her greatest books
Thank goodness this one is more like the Freida McFadden that I originally started reading! It was more in line with what I have come to love and expect from this author. Her last few were not my favorite, but this one is back to the original style and twists.
This book has several lowered reviews because of the student/teacher relationship aspect, but there is plenty of warning for the reader before they start so that they should skip it if it is a trigger for them. The plot is fast moving, the twists and turns are there and the reader doesn't want to stop reading once they start this one. The reader zooms through the pages alternating between not wanting it to end, but needing to know what happens.
The reader will guess, prove their guess wrong and guess again and they still won't get it correct. This is a must read and a must read now! Don't be caught unprepared - it will give you a book hangover for sure! Don't make any plans once you start reading as this is a one day read - because you can't put it down!
Add it to your TBR list and move it to the top!
