This book was excellent. It kept me engaged the entire story. As it go to the end, I didn’t want to stop even though there was not enough time in the day. I extremely love the twist at the end. Was NOT expecting that at all.

Oh man, this book was bad. I didn't enjoy any of it. I tandem read it on audio and disliked that. It made the reading much more sappy and emotional. Maybe it's because I"m a teacher but all of this was uncomfortable. There were not real surprises or twists (yes, they were there, but weren't that shocking). I felt icky the whole time I was reading as I watched this teacher seduce and manipulate this student.

One of the best thriller books I’ve read in a long time. The twist at the end still has me in shock a week after finishing this book. 10/10 recommend.

As usual, Freida has written a thrilling ride. I loved every minute of it. I couldn't stop reading til the very end. Way to go!

She did it again! What a stunner Freida McFadden created with The Teacher. McFadden masterfully constructs a web of intrigue, leaving readers questioning every character’s true intentions. The pacing is relentless. The author’s writing is sharp, evoking the tension of a ticking time bomb. And just when you think you’ve unraveled the mystery, McFadden delivers a twist that reshapes everything. “The Teacher” is a rollercoaster ride of suspense, fueled by flawed characters and simmering grudges. If you enjoy psychological thrillers with a touch of mystery, this one won’t disappoint.

🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥/5
This time, instead of turtles 🐢, we have poetry on the table (and also Mr. Tuttle, which I couldn't help but read as Mr. Turtle - seriously, don't know why 😂).
Unpredictable twist(s) so typical for Freida's books and smooth narration makes the book a page-turner and impossible to put down even for a while.
What's interesting, altogether with the ARC copy there was a letter from Freida attached about some TW in this book. I never thought there could be any TW in her books, but here we go.
"[...] if reading about an inappropriate relationship portrayed in a negative light - even a fictional one - will jeopardize your mental health in any way, I hope you will protect yourself adnd reconsider reading. I want to be sensitive to the fact that even thriller readers may have triggers. [...]".
It's a story about a sixteen y.o. student, Addie, and her struggles in high school, not only with math lessons, but also involving romantic relationships with her teacher and how dangerous it can be.

This book is brilliant!! I think it's the best Thriller I've read in 2023!! I can relate to some of this story as I found myself in Addies shoes (lil pun there) when I was in high school. Ik ik reviews mention page Turners, this is INDEED a Page Turner!! I put off so many things as I needed to read one more chapter until I reached the epilouge and was sad it was nearly over. I've enjoyed every Freida McFadden book ive read so far, but this one tops the charts!! UNPUTDOWNABLE!! I never like to give away any of the story in my reviews, but I will say if I recommend it, or not. I Highly HIGHLY recommend!! You seriously won't be disappointed!!

Wow, this book was brilliant. I couldn't put it down. So many twists and turns. This book is all about revenge . Ending was absolutely brilliant.

First of all, I would like to thank NetGalley and Poisoned Pen Press for allowing me to read an advanced copy of this book.
This was my first Freida McFadden book, and she definitely lives up to the hype I have heard! I have already added 4 of her other books on my ever-growing TBR.
The Teacher starts out innocent enough. We meet Eve and Nate a seemingly happy couple who both teach at the local high school. We also meet Addie, one of the students at their school who was involved in a scandal the year before. Eve is not thrilled about Addie being in her class, but Nate seems to like her. Addie is the cause of a lot of the school drama, and she starts to cause a rift in Eve & Nate's relationship.
Addie isn't exactly innocent, though. And she's certainly not who she seems. As we learn more and more about Addie and the truth of her past comes to light, the web of lies and secrets between Eve and Nate (and Addie) get more complex and the game become more dangerous for everyone. There is a lot of foreshadowing in this book and a fierce dynamic and power-struggle between the 3 main characters. McFadden doesn't disappoint with a sprinkling of jaw-dropping twists and turns, and an epilogue that will answer some questions, but also leave you a bit confused and befuddled (in a good way).
I loved this book and I will absolutely be recommending this book to my book club and my thriller-loving friends. I don't know why I didn't jump on the Freida McFadden train sooner! I'm hooked!

The Teacher by Freida McFadden is just what you think it is. A creepy teacher taking part in an inappropriate relationship (make that 2 creepy teachers both in inappropriate relationships). Add in secrets, lies, cheating, shoe obsessions, teen drama, and a small twist at the end that I probably should have seen coming but didn't. This was my first McFadden book and while I didn't love the subject matter in this particular selection (I would have rated it higher if it wasn't for this subject), I can see why she is so popular. This was a quick and easy read that pulls the reader in from the first page and while it was my first by Ms McFadden, it won't be my last.
Thank you to the author, publisher, and NetGalley for an advanced copy of this book in exchange for my honest thoughts.

What in the world?
This is possibly the worst book that I have ever read. That epilogue was just, terrible.
Bummed, because the author is quite popular and after that, I don't want to ever read anything by her again.

"Deny everything"
Freida McFadden has seriously done it again. Whenever I pick up one of her books, I finish it the same day! The Teacher was addictive and twisty. Eve and her husband Nate are both high school teachers where Addie is a student. Addie was involved in a pretty serious scandal that leaves her an outcast. Their lives are intertwined and nothing is what it seems. Seriously, that plot twist and then the epilogue?!
Thank you netgalley for the ARC!

The Teacher
By: Freida McFadden
I was so happy to receive this through NetGalley. I absolutely loved this book. I love Freida and her style of writing so I was immediately hooked. Every chapter left in a cliffhanger and left me wanting to know more. This was such an easy read for me, I read it in one sitting. I rated this book a 5 star and I would definitely reread it again. The twist at the end was golden. I did not see that coming at all.

This author always keeps me hooked from beginning to end. Admittedly had to re read the twist at the end twice just because I had to make sure I was reading that right! A book that will have you flying through the pages !

This is why I’m a huge Freida fan!! I am always recommending her books for her twists! I definitely did not see the twist coming as per usual!!

This is my first Freida McFadden book, and if this is her worst (as I've heard), then I am stunned! I read this book in two sittings, and when I had to put it down to focus on my actual responsibilities (eye roll), I could not stop thinking about it! Half the time, I wasn't even sure if I actually *liked* the characters, but I think in the end, each had some likable qualities. I will say, this book was slow at the beginning and I truly did not know where it was headed. I figured out part of the mystery about 3/4 of the way through, but the epilogue had me stunned! Despite what others say, I enjoyed how it ended, though I am still asking myself some questions about it. Overall, I would recommend this one!

Das meiner Meinung nach spannendste Buch von Freida McFadden - bisher.
Ich bin jedes Mal wieder total überfahren von den Twists, die alles bisher Gelesene in einem neuen und völlig anderen Licht erscheinen lassen.

Oh my lanta!!!! Nate is the worst! Freida did an amazing job at creating the most insufferable character I have ever read. I wanted to throw the book. Strangle him. Addys side of the story was so uncomfortably accurate to how I felt as a teenager.

Frieda never disappoints in the thrills! Every Frieda novel that I read has me consistently guessing to the very end. This story had a major twist in the epilogue that I did not see coming at all! I would definitely recommend this to any thriller/mystery reader. It will be a very perfect spring break or vacation read.

Disclaimer - Freida McFadden is one of my favorite authors, so I knew I'd be into whatever this book turned out to be. I loved this book and definitely didn’t predict the way it all came together. I was kept engaged and on my toes the whole time.
