Mostly Loathing You is an enemies to lovers, brother’s best friend, workplace romance, and close proximity. Hannah aspires to become a successful theater actor. She accepts a position as a legal assistant at the law office of a family friend, where she works with Liam, her brother's closest friend and arch-enemy. Because of their frequent teasing and potential for sparks to fly, Hannah and Liam's near closeness makes them a dangerous combination.

Although Hannah and Liam have known one another since they were young children, they have not been friendly for nearly ten years. All in all, this was a lighthearted story with lots of spice and interesting characters. I thought the writing style was great!

I was interested when I saw the description and title, but I didn't really enjoy it. I was not drawn in to keep reading, and the main characters were not that interesting to me. I received an ARC through NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

Liam and Hannah’s parents are best friends, and Liam is best friends with her brother Jackson, yet Hannah and Liam hate each other. This comes to the fore in many places as they interact with each other growing up. Yet when Hannah gets a job as his assistant, it almost borders on bullying. Hannah suffers from a lack of self worth as her mother constantly puts her and her choices down, whilst excelling the virtues of everyone else. Doggedly though Hannah stands her ground on her career choices, even paying for her own acting college fees. When Liam stands up to her mother on her behalf, those feelings of hate start to head in another direction. Okay story, way too much heat in the bedroom for me, and I thought Jackson could have been a better brother, but he did finally apologise in the end.

Okay this was such a fun book with so much banter, I read it in one sitting.

Liam and Hannah had so much tension between them it just hit the spot for what I was looking for even though It had a bit of miscommunication that makes me so bloody angry lol

A very good enemies to lovers!

The tension and the banter in this book made it so much fun to read! Hannah and Liam had great chemistry and as much as they hated each other…well, we all know there is a very fine line between love and hate!

I really liked Hannah and I especially liked seeing her find her voice and her value. As a semi-reformed people pleaser myself, I really identified with what she was going through. At first I was not Liam’s biggest fan but he really won me over. I especially loved the one scene where he really stood up for Hannah and then continued to stand up for her!

ARC Review ~ Mostly Loathing You ~

*******************************************

⭐️⭐️⭐️

Though this book wasn’t entirely my cup of tea it was still cute. The best friend’s sister MMC can’t stand becomes his assistant. It’s an interesting dynamic in the way that it evolves. There are re a few plot points that I liked in the way the author handled strained familial relationships and a nice adaption to the dreaded third act breakup.

Thank you NetGalley and NRC Publishing for this ARC!

Enemies to lovers is my top trope but Liam the MMC took it too far with the banter it was not cute, Hannah was in tears after many verbal exchanges between them. I did not enjoy that. Because I did not read book one I was a bit lost with the characters on who was who and all that. A brief introduction would have been nice right when they appeared on page, not paragraphs later, just so we knew who they were. Also a brief summary of book one at the beginning would have been nice. There was little details of book one spread out throughout the chapters but it was repetitive.

This book had a lot more spice than I expected, and I’ll admit, it kept me entertained. Who wouldn’t fall for Liam’s confidence and dirty mouth? It also ended up as a really sweet romance. Though I really appreciated the author’s normalization of strained family relationships, I was hoping for more twists and turns with the plot line.

Wow what a book, an incredible follow up to Second Chance Vacation.

A fab enemies to lovers, the chemistry, the spice, the characters. All of it was just so incredibly put together.

Hannah and Liam were my dream duo, I loved seeing their relationship progress from hate to love. The banter, the little comments to get under each others skin, the sizzle, it was so fun to read. Plus the protection Liam had over Hannah from her family, swoon.

Overall, I loved this book, truly a gorgeous read.

Thank you so much NetGalley and NRC Publishing for the eARC.

Mostly Loathing You by Nicole Ryan is the second book in the Just Peachy series. This enemies to lovers, workplace rom com is a sizzling blend of steamy encounters, witty banter, and heartwarming self-discovery.

Liam and Hannah's parents have been the best of friend since long before their children were born, and they continue to spend their annual vacations together. However, Liam and Hannah themselves have a tumultuous relationship and go out of their way to annoy one another. Hannah's acting career has hit a snag in New York, prompting Liam's father to extend a job offer at the family law firm in Atlanta until she can get back on her feet. Initially, Liam is far from pleased when Hannah is appointed as his administrative assistant. He makes various attempts to push her to resign, but to his surprise, he finds her presence addicting! As they interact more, the tension between them intensifies, resulting in a scorching connection. Even after they become a couple, their wicked and playful banter continues throughout the story.

Hannah finds it challenging to establish trust with Liam, as they have a shared past incident, and her mother constantly disapproves of her decision to pursue acting. She feels like no one prioritizes her in their lives. On the other hand, Liam is also struggling with his career as a corporate lawyer and the pressure of succeeding his father as the firm's leader when he retires. Despite their passionate sexual relationship, is it possible for them to overcome their hostility and build trust to move forward together?

"Mostly Loathing You" is a rom-com that will make you laugh, swoon, and fan yourself from the steamy chemistry between the characters. Nicole Ryan expertly crafts a story that keeps you hooked from start to finish with witty banter and heartwarming character development. You'll root for the characters to overcome their obstacles and find love in the most unexpected places. Trust me, you won't want to put this book down!

Thank you NetGalley and Nicole Ryan for the ARC of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

Thank you NetGalley, Nicole Ryan and NRC Publishing for the opportunity to read and review.

Liam and Hannah have known each other since childhood. Liam is Hannah's brother best friend, but also the bane of her existence. Liam feels the same way about Hannah until things begin to change.
I loved the tension between the two, but the story itself didn't keep me invested. My favorite part of the story was the sexy bar scene.
Overall, it was just ok for me.

I have to say I hated the main guy. He caused so much pain and miscommunication and there was no apology. I dont recommend this book ever.

This book was amazing! If you're looking for a rom com you can't put down, you must read this! I loved the banter and the enemies to lovers and workplace romance tropes. It took me a bit to get into the book but after awhile I couldn't stop reading. I really enjoyed Hannah but wasn't the biggest fan of Liam. Overall I was pleased with the book!

Mostly Loathing You by Nicole Ryan is an excellent bullies to lovers romance!
Woah, I honestly didn’t think I would love this story as much as I truly did!
I laughed and smiled throughout the entire novel and was completely immersed in Hannah and Liam's story.
Hannah and Liam were so phenomenal together.
MLY is a refreshing, thought-provoking, compelling, emotional, sweet, and fun rom-com that absolutely stole my heart.

This was such a great read! I loved the banter and tension, it really felt like they hated each other. It kept me turning the page wondering how they could possibly fall for one another but once they did, OH BOY WAS IT GOOD. The chemistry was on fire. The romance was sweet and oh so spicy. Absolutely loved these characters!!

This is my first Nicole Ryan novel and an ARC from NetGalley. While this is book #2 in the Just Peachy series, it can be read as a standalone. This book is in the vein of the enemies to lovers trope but these two MC's practically HATE each other. Hannah and Liam grew up together with their families close friends but now that they're in their late 20's they despise each other. Hannah moves to Atlanta from NYC to be closer to her brother and gets a job working for his law firm as an assistant to pay the bills in between auditions. It just so happens that Liam also works there. Hannah has a lot on her plate between auditioning, helping out with her brother's wedding and dealing with her awful parents, so Liam is the cherry bomb on top of her daily life.

It's almost 3am because I stayed up way too late reading this. This book had me in a chokehold, I read it in one night. The story was just too good to put down. If you're in a reading slump, pick this up! The storyline and characters are incredibly well thought out and developed, the romance is on point, and there are some funny moments sprinkled throughout. Not only that but for you spice lovers out there, this book is hella spicy. The ending is deliciously perfect. I think that my favorite thing about this book is that it's a cocktail of Hallmark and Sex and the City. Not to mention, it's done exceptionally well. Don't miss this one.

Hannah loathes Liam at Baker & Park until work and a wedding force proximity, blurring the lines between love and loathing.

Nicole Ryan’s “Mostly Loathing You” is an absorbing love story that contains a fine balance between hatred and affection. The story of the author revolves around two characters whose personalities clash at work Liam Park and Hannah Thatcher-Miles. The situation then transforms, and the tension grows on them, trapped in unavoidable situations revealing remarkable depth.

Due to the great character development by Nicole Ryan, we like and pity them despite their flaws. The scope of connection is complicated by an intriguing setting that their work offers. The readers are intrigued by the skillful analysis of the nuances of love and hate, forcing them to ponder over real motifs in the lives depicted.

The pace of writing is good, to ensure an easy flow worth the read from start to finish. Mostly Loathing You is an entertaining contemporary romance novel with a hint of rivalry and unexpected ties, mixing cleverness, gracefulness, and appeal in appealing fashion. This engaging and amusing book is where Ryan’s storytelling skills truly shine.

I read this book and it was a struggle. I loved the idea, but the writing was not great. Liam was so annoying, like I understand why he acted the way he did. But it just was wrong. Hannah was great! I loved her.

I received a complimentary ARC from NetGalley for review.

I think I must have smiled from ear to ear and chuckled a hundred times while reading Liam and Hannah’s story. True to the enemies to lovers and misunderstood childhood crush dynamics, this was a fun and engaging story of two people who found their way to each other and figured out who they really were. I loved the sass and the sweetness all the same.

This was a fun read that reminded me of a cross between Abby Jimenez, Emily Henry and Lucy Score. Well done!
