The pages we read were okay and seemed to get us through but I am unsure if it was just our ARC but some pages may have been missing as it just felt unfinished and missing pieces to the story.
What we did read we could gather the storyline and what happened which would’ve been amazing and funny. Shame we didn’t get a full book..

Reading monster stories before bed and hearing strange noises means everyone gets the bedtime scaries sometimes! But it's all right, because Hampton and Figgy are here to help! Not only will kids stay engaged trying to figure out who the monster is, but they'll also realize that it's okay to feel scared and that sometimes, the monster isn't who you think it is. Accompanying a catchy, rhythmic text are bright and colorful illustrations that will have kids imaginations running wild!

Thank you NetGalley for the ARC of Hoo's There? by Kristi Valiant.
It was such a fun book. You meet owl who loves to read but then hears scary noises. He goes outside his house and see pig. They two of them think they hear a monster, so they scurry back into owl's house. Little did they know that they were hearing each other and that what the scary noises were.
It was a cute story. Thanks for letting me read this book. I will definitely buy it for our library.

This has been one of my favorite reads this year. It's a cute story about unabashedly loving what you love and finding friendships that support and amplify your interests. We all can benefit from sharing our life with others and this is a way to depict that. The writing is strong and the imagery is very cute and fits the story very well. Highly recommend.

How cute!!! My son really enjoyed reading this book with me! We loved the illustrations, the rhyming and of course the monstrous noises! I would recommend this book to fellow mom's to read with their littles! Silly sounds encouraged!

Read this ARC with the little one today, and we loved the book! So funny, exciting, and full of beautiful illustrations, this book is great for kids 3 years upwards.

I received an arc of this title from NetGalley for an honest review. When owl here's a snort he is sure that it is a monster. When pig hears a hiss she's sure it's a monster. Together they run from the monsters only realizing that they each made the scary noise and there's nothing to be afraid of after all.

A really silly and cute story showing little ones that they can face their nighttime fears, especially with the help of others. When owl and pig’s big imaginations take over they become afraid of every little thing. They soon learn that fears could be simple everyday things that all look different in the dark. My 5 year-old loved this fun book. The silliness really grabbed his attention and before he realized it he was understanding that sometimes we mistake things and they aren’t as scary as we thought. I love the illustrations and creative story. We received this as an ebook ARC but we will be adding it to our fun collection at home. You will love their little adventure.

I thought this was adorable!
I really appreciated the bolded text on rhyming words and noise words. This works great for pointing out and working on sounds with little ones. Lots of cute rhymes and the hoot pun at the end was adorable. i thought the story was cute and that this will be a great one for kiddos!

From the Cover to the very end TOO CUTE! I love this book. Illustrations are beautiful, lots of feeling. A little kid could pick up this book and read it to an adult just from looking at the pictures. Great book for any little one. I can't wait to buy this book for my little 4 year old niece. It is sure to become a bed time favorite.

I loved the premise of this story about facing fears. For age group 0-4, very simple story with fun illustrations.

Hoo’s there?! Hampton is! This book is so cute! The illustration in the story is precious. It was fun trying to figure who is the monster Hampton and Figgy have been hearing bump through the night.

What a cute book. I like this book because kids are usually afraid of sounds in the dark and this goes to show them that most of the sounds, you think are scary really are not. The illustrations were really cute and I love the use of onomatopoeia!

Such a fun and silly book about getting over your fear of the dark. I love the illustrations in this book, and the overall theme of conquering your fears. My second grade students would love this book as well as my baby who I read it to.

Very cute book, I loved the illustrations. It's a good story line about scary noises and how they probably aren't really scare things, just noises.

Sweet and funny at times. Loves the illustrations and colors of the pages. Well written for understanding that not all things that go bump in the night are monsters.

Love this book from the cover to the end. Catchy title. Age appropriate. Great pictures. Would highly recommend!

A funny story to accompany children's bedtime rituals. This little owl loves to read horror stories, but is afraid of the noises himself. Until he found a friend, then the horror is not that scarry anymore. A truly fun read to give children peace during nighttime.

This is such an adorable book and the illustrations are beautiful. My little man read it with me and love the silly sounds and colorful artwork. A great story about being afraid and facing your fear. As a former teacher and mom of four I would definitely recommend this book.

It was a cute whimsical story about misunderstandings. There wasn’t a whole lot of story to it but it was a fun read about making a friend.
