If you like horrifying short stories then this book is for you!
I thoroughly enjoyed this as a huge horror fan, some of the stories made me feel so uncomfortable.
I would definitely read more from these authors!
Thanks to NetGalley and Blood Bound Books for providing me with this arc
delightfully gruesome and sexually charged compilation of short stories and novellas, and I honestly enjoyed something about every one of them. I've never really read erotic splatterpunk before, in fact I honestly didn't know it existed, but it was an absolute blast to read.
Thank-you to NetGalley, Blood Bound Books, and S.C. Mendes & Nikki Noir for the eARC!
I rated each individual story and came up with the overall average in order to rate this book as a whole, which should let you know just how much I enjoyed it! As a major fan of horror, this was right up my alley. I know many like-mided people who would also enjoy this, and I will be sure to recommend it!
Note that if this is not your usual wheelhouse I highly recommend checking out the CWs before deciding to dive in to it.
If you enjoy nightmare inducing stories this compilation is for you! I’m not sure which story in here was the best (worst) as in scary because they all were so uniquely terrifying in their own ways. Perfect for the splatterpunk readers and horror lovers alike!

Enjoyable, disturbing, and a weird read. Definitely not for the squeamish.
Thank you to Net Galley and the publisher for this ARC. This is definitely not for the squeamish or prudish! Often gory, sexual, gross or a combination of all three its an interesting extreme horror short story collection.
I did finish this book when i had a chance to go back. it was just okay for me. the stories were definitely original and yes, perhaps this is the style and intention of the author, but i just found them to be only surface deep. there was no depth. i don't enjoy reading short stories very often because i feel like it takes so much work to get everything a story needs into a short excerpt. this sort of fell in that category. was it good? yes. it was interesting. it was exciting. the reads were quick. but was it great? no. for this i'd give it a solid 3/5. Nothing to write home about but definitely decent.

Enjoyable and disturbing all rolled into one!
OMG! This has to be one of the best horror/splatterpunk books I have read in a while! It’s so unique and amazing. Had my jaw on the floor through out! Though I will say there were quite a few typos throughout that caught me off guard but I ignored them because I don’t let things like that annoy me. I can see how that can be annoying to other people though. Anywho. I loved the characters and plots. The one with the aliens was as the best! It had me wishing for he story to be longer! I loved the platonic relationship between the professor and student and how they were so into aliens and where so determined to find answers for themselves and for their friend! (I forgot the names I’m so sorry 😭)
Enjoyable and disturbing. I loved every minute of it!!
I had such a fun time reading this one.
Absolutely will be recommending and buying!!
Thank you to Net Galley and the publisher for this arc. This was such a a weird read. I liked some of the stories.
I received an eARC of this book in exchange for an honest review
I started this earlier this month - read 1.5 stories and felt no desire to pick it back up. the first two stories relied too much on sex and had essentially no plot. that is just not for me and I don’t feel the need to continue
Petite Mort was sexy and fun! Not for the squeamish, this book is bound to surprise you in one way or another.
This book was excellent. I love a story that sucks you in and keeps you entertained through the whole thing. Thank you
A phenomenal set of stories that will have you scratching your head and mumbling
To yourself WTF. A thrilling number of tales that make you desperate for another and another. Incredible addictive and mind boggling. So many stories had me
On the phone to call a friend and tell them to get this book and read it immediately. One of my new favorite books now!
Let me just start by saying this is one of the best Splatter collections I've come across as of lately. None of the stories fell short and some will even remain with you long after you finish the book. Nikki Noir and SC Mendez did not hold back and I look forward to future releases from both authors.
(FULL SPOILER review on my site and social medias)
This was unusual and really out of the box, so kudos for that. I've never really read splatterpunk before, and this was an enjoyable introduction. It was dark and twisty in the best way.
This book was so so marvelously well done. The gore, the erotica, the horror, and simply the wit of its entirety was so entertaining. I really enjoyed each story in its own brilliance and the book truly contained a wide variety of horror and thrills. The erotica part was written so well, but it was the buildup of everything else surrounding it made the book so much fun to read. The short story collection was curated well, starting off with a bang of a vicious story and ending it with a more character-driven story. I'm now truly a fan of this!
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the ebook. All opinions are my own.
A wonderfully weird collection of erotic horror short stories filled with everything from a santa claus fetish to an old horror movie themed “onlyfans”.
I enjoyed quite a few of them, especially the humorous writing which made me laugh more than once, and the characters were interesting enough to carry the story they were in with no problems.
The only real issue i had is that it felt very repetitive. Like, once it got the gist of it, a lot of the short stories were a bit similar and didn’t really make me want to keep reading. which is also why it took me this long to finish it.
But that’s just one opinion, and in all honesty, horror erotica probably just isn’t the genre for me. Whatever floats your boat.
I don‘t even know where to begin with this book. It was so vastly different from anything that I have ever read. It‘s so f*cked up and weird but I loved it! Think black mirror meets smut meets weird kinky horror. This is definitely not one for those of you who are not used to reading books with a TON of trigger warnings. It is FILLED with them. It is erotic horror at it‘s finest and I will be exploring this genre more now! I also discuss this with my podcast cohost on The Good Girls Society Podcast!
