What an awesome read for little ones who are struggling with naming their emotions. Especially when they have more than one emotion going on at the same time. Perfect for my kindergarten age son. The illustrations are bright and colorful. The book held his attention with situations he can recognize.

The story was cute and it is easy for children to grasp the concept of. Olive is a little girl who is coming to terms with the different feelings she has.
This book gives aid to children who are beginning to grasp that it is ok to have multiple feelings at the same time.
This is a perfect story time read for parents and teachers. I do think if young children were to read this on their own, it may be a struggle to understand the difference between Olive’s dialogue and the narration. Otherwise it is a great story.

Another great children’s book! I read this to my newborn so it may have been over her head lol, but I know my toddler would love it. It’s kind of hard to read by ebook, but maybe that will be cleared up / made easier come pub time. I loved the lessons it taught, and how it went back and forth between the narrator and Olive herself. I’m sure the physical book is absolutely adorable.

Cute book about feeling more than one emotion at the same time and understanding your feelings. I loved the illustrations and the different scenarios Olives went through in the book.

A solid picture book about how feelings are rarely, if ever, one dimensional. It is possible to feel both excited and scared, and both delighted and jealous. Definitely a personal opinion, but the character eyes are a bit disconcerting. They may be appealing and easier for younger readers to understand and interpret! Otherwise, the images are clear, the colors are vivid and well-used, and there is sufficient white space on every other page that helps avoid a sense of clutter.

This was cute and sweet. And extremely short. Took me less than 5 minutes to read it. Great for kids, and a good lesson for adults too.

Olive All at Once would be a great addition to any classroom’s SEL curriculum. Olive shares that it’s ok to have conflicting feelings. That we might feel delighted AND jealous at a friend’s birthday party. This is so important for children to understand - that we have many feelings and sometimes they get jumbled up!

This book came at the perfect time, my little guy has been having big emotions recently so we have been trying out a few books about emotions, and I love this one! Most of the books we have read don’t really mention how you can feel conflicting feelings at once and this books does it so well! My little guy loved the artwork as well! Such a good read!

This picture book follows a little girl with lots of feelings that seem to overlap a lot. The story is told in dual narration, a third person narrator and Olive herself adding in. As a preschool teacher, I am often looking to add more SEL books to my library. However, I was disappointed by several things. The art style was okay but I felt like the imagery for feelings could have been much more creative and visual, especially for the target audience. Additionally, the narration style would be confusing for young kids and it led to repetitiveness throughout this short book. The narrator would say something, be corrected by Olive, and then correct it by rephrasing again. While the idea of this book is a win, there are several other picture books that I'd recommend in this category.

I LOVED the illustrations of this book. The colors are so vibrant and beautiful and I know kids would be attracted to the pictures, Books about feelings are so important for growing emotionally intelligent kids and I loved the way Olive's feelings are all explored. It felt slightly disjointed, but I think kids would like it.

What an excellent book to use in order to help young children understand their complex emotions. I hope parents and school guidance counselors will discover this colorful and appealing picture book.

This is a great book about feelings and emotions. It explains how you can feel more than one emotion at once. I will definitely be reading this to my 5 year old who sometimes has a hard time expressing her emotions.

This is a nice SEL title, I would definitely read and use in storytime. It's an approachable way to talk about different feelings and models different ways to express feelings.

This was a fun book to read with my son. It was a great way to learn about different emotions and that it is okay to feel two emotions at the same time. The illustrations are bright and colorful. I enjoyed the use of color to represent the different emotions.

This was a really well written book about feelings. It has gorgeous illustrations and it has representation with people of different skin colors. Often times, I find that children's books have one skin color in its illustrations. Olive has a lot of emotions and the book shows Olive going through her day to day life and it explains her emotions. It also explains to children that it is okay to have a mix of emotions.

The illustrations are captivating and the message is presented loud and clear.... it's always ok to feel how you're feeling, even if sometimes you can't understand all of the emotions yourself. Can't wait to see this on my classroom library shelf!

This book is about a girl named Olivrand her first day of school. This book also describes all the emotions that she goes through in different situations. The illustrations are beautiful. I highly recommend this book.
