My ARC was provided by the publisher via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. This was a great example of a slow burn sweet romance. I was excited to get my hands on something inspired by Taylor and Travis and I’m sure there will be loads more post Super Bowl but this can help tide you over.

Fake Relationship? CHECK

Difficult Past & Close Proximity? CHECK CHECK
A story inspired by the Swift/Kelce romance?! HECK YES!

I’ve read another book by this author so was interested in doing an ARC read of her latest book. With a title like Lucky Charm, I felt like it was perfect for March! But apparently I had no idea what I was in for!

My favorite tropes inspired by my favorite celeb romance had me finishing this book in a day! I loved the alternating points of few, the secondary characters, the settings. It was a quick read, a fun read, and I enjoyed it. Low on the spice level, but off the charts on the chemistry!

This is such a sweet book. A broken friendship, two broken families, and a forbidden fake romance. This book go through all the emotions. It has a bit of the Taylor/Travis story line with the musician and football star but this book gives it a different twist. Once I got started, I couldn't put the book down. High recommend this 5 star read!

This was a cute romance between Stone and Emerson. Stone was Emersons brothers best friend in high school until there was a falling out. They secretly had a crush on each other in high school but since the falling out, they no longer could be in each other's lives. Until fate brought them together again.

The ending felt a bit rushed and I wish I got to know some of the characters more but overall it was cute and likeable. The author drew some inspiration from Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift but I appreciated it because it wasn't explaining the same.

Read this if you're a fan of: football players, aspiring musicians, fake dating, forced proximity, brothers ex best friend.

Overall I rated it 3/5 because I would have liked a little more depth with the plot and characters. But quick, cute, and easy to read.

Thank you to Sweet Escape Publishing LLC, Anne-Marie Meyer, and NetGalley for the opportunity to read this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

A young singer moves to Nashville in hopes of kickstarting her music career, only to find herself living next door to Stone Walker, a Super Bowl-winning NFL star and her high school crush. Despite their complicated history as her brother's ex-best friend, she decides to stay and even entertains a plan proposed by her best friend to fake date Stone for publicity.

This is the first book I’ve read by this author and it was so beautifully written! I was hooked from the start and determined to find out what happens between the two MMC! I only wished this book was slightly longer so we could see more of their relationship develop but I loved reading it! This book was so cute and I read it in a few hours! I love how we have a dual POV so we can see both sides of the story. The romance was so sweet and I definitely recommend for an easy read.

A sweet romance that gives you heart eyes at the end! It's a quick and easy read. If you are a fan of closed door romances then give this a read. It's proof that you don't need to fill a book with overly spicy scenes to make a good romance book.

Title: Lucky Charm By Anne-Marie Meyer

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Stars

I received this book in exchange for an honest review via Netgalley.

This author's book was my first read, and oh boy, did it steal my heart!

A young aspiring singer relocates to Nashville in hopes of kickstarting her music career, only to find herself living next door to Stone Walker, a Super Bowl-winning NFL receiver and her high school crush. Despite their complicated history as her brother's ex-best friend, she decides to stay and even entertains a plan proposed by her best friend to fake date Stone for publicity.

Surprisingly, Stone agrees, and their pretend relationship starts to feel all too real as he supports her career and showers her with affection. However, as their feelings deepen, the young woman fears getting hurt again, knowing Stone's history of walking away from relationships.

With its blend of fake relationships and forbidden romance, this book offers an irresistible combination of sweetness and spice that will keep readers hooked from beginning to end. This was a fast read for me as I love these tropes and devoured this book within hours!

Whether you're a fan of romance novels or simply looking for an entertaining and uplifting story, this book delivers on all fronts, offering a sweet and satisfying read.

This football star/upcoming singer romance is a captivating tale of unexpected love and second chances.

This book is very low spice, however the author has provided the reader with bonus chapters that contain more spice!

I really enjoyed reading Lucky Charm! The characters’ intertwined lives made a great build up to their adult relationship.

-brothers ex best friend
-Taylor Swift / Travis Kelce vibes
-slow burn
-forced proximity

This is my first book from this author and I loved her writing style! If you’re in the mood for a clean romance - read this. 💕

You have Emerson, the aspiring musician who is struggling to make ends meet, and then Stone, the successful football player from her past (who her parents hate - try that for complicated!!). They had chemistry throughout the book and every moment together was a battle of not giving in to each other 🔥🔥

This was such a quick and easy read. It’s the perfect "feel good" palate cleanser type of book.

I enjoyed watching these two overcome adversity and grow together!

Such a fun and heartwarming story! A light easy read that will leave you feeling good! Enimes to lovers, fake relationships, best friends little sister and sports romance!

Stone hadn't seen Emerson in years when she moved in across the hall. She was his ex best friends little sister and off limits! When she needed a fake boyfriend to boost her career he was the easy choice... Both try thier best to hide thier feelings, but that never works. Does it?

This was my first Anne-Marie book, but I will definitely looking into other titles by her!

#Review: ARC - *Lucky Charm* - Anne-Marie Meyer
4.5/5✨

It was my first encounter with a book from Anne-Marie Meyer and I super enjoyed it!! It was a relaxing book with two sweet characters to love! ♥️

Emerson is the little sister of Cayden. He has Stone as his best friend, but things got complicated in their lives during highschool. Because of that, they needed to separate their lives because Emerson's parents blamed Stone for their misfortune. Everything happened just after Emerson had gifted Stone a lucky charm.

But somehow, after a couple of years, Emerson gets the chance to rent an apartment, which is nearby her old friend and crush, Stone. From here on, the two of them have a relationship of love-'fake hate' which was interesting to follow 🤭. They were trying to avoid each other as much as they could, to not make any mistakes regarding each other (romantically).

I loved how they tried their best to ignore their feelings and how they rebuilt their relationship. I also liked the sports part, especially Stone's team, which added some really funny parts to the story.

Overall, I really loved this book and I'll definitely read other books from Anne-Marie 🥰. I recommend it if you enjoy these tropes: brother's best friend, enemies to lovers, sports romance, close proximity, fake relationship, first love.

First let me say how much I love the cover! Everyone is saying that this book reminds them of Taylor swift and Travis Kelly and I agree with them. Emerson is a singer and stone is an NFL player. This book made me go through all of the emotions. The backstory and character development is amazing. I read this book so fast and couldn't put it down.

3.5 stars!!

As a lifelong Swiftie (yes I have been there from the beginning), nothing makes me happier than seeing my girl happy with her NFL star himbo. Therefore, reading a little romcom that follows a singer in a fake relationship with an NFL star that turns into love---this is my jam!

Emerson is an aspiring singer in Nashville, Stone is the Super Bowl MVP receiver for the Tennessee football team- and they just happen to go back to high school. This was an adorable story watching them learn how to overcome the fallout of Stone's relationship with Emerson's family that took him away from her without an explanation, and navigate feelings while thinking that the other person's feelings are all fake.

This was a sweet, simple little story that was a feel good read (for the most part- don't get me started on Brett). Perfect for Swifties looking for a book to read while the game is on!

Thank you so much to Anne-Marie Meyer and NetGalley for a chance to read this in exchange for an honest review. Lucky Charm comes out on April 23, 2024!

If you’re looking for a quick read this is it. I couldn’t put it down and finished in a day! I love brother’s best friend and fake dating tropes. Anne- Marie did not disappoint with either.

Stone and Emerson’s story starts with them in high school. Stone tries to keep his distance knowing Emerson is off limits. He has a rough life and her family has been there for him. Stone doesn’t want to mess that up by going against his best friend’s wishes. Unfortunately, life doesn’t go as planned and his best friend quickly becomes his ex-best friend.

Fast forward, Stone’s living his professional dream while Emerson struggles to make her dreams come true. They fake date to get her the recognition she deserves all while trying to figure out what went wrong in their past and where they stand now.

There were times I felt parts of the story was rushed and some things left unresolved. I would have loved to see more of Stone and Emerson’s relationship. This book is filled with some great characters and it’s definitely worth the read!

Swifties assemble! Imagine Tay-Tay found Trav at the beginning of her career! Ok we wouldn’t have Taylors epic catalogue of albums. This is the book for you! Girl trying make it in Nashville moves into the apartment complex of a blast from the past who just happens to be an NFL player. However he has a secret! After helping the main female character to make it big the couple reveal their true feelings for each other. Great little romance with a few twists and turns!

100% adored this book! Start to finish, I was smiling. I highly recommend if you are looking for a cute fast read that will still make you feel many emotions. I read this in a single day, it was that good.

I picked up this ARC read because it looked like it could be a fun read. Although I did like the main characters I thought something was missing (maybe the spicy scenes) but reading the extended scene makes me think if this was sprinkled in the book it would amp up tension.

I feel like the story behind her parents dislike of Stone was a little immature and the blame should have been on her brother. But that to be the reason they could not be together was strange to me.

Again I did like the characters but I feel like there story could have been even better with some more tension.

To the author I do like your writing style and if you have any 18+ books I will take a look.

This is my opinion and if you enjoyed this book that’s great :) I am not saying I did not enjoy it if I didn’t I would have DNFed and not reviewed.

Happy reading everyone 📚
