An absolute ray of sunshine!

Finding Love at Sunset Shore is everything I want in a summer romcom—heartwarming, funny, and packed with all the swoon-worthy moments. Bella Osborne has a way of making you fall in love with her characters, and Ros and Cameron had me grinning from the start.

Ros is strong, determined, and trying her best to grant her dad’s dying wish, even if it means faking a relationship. Enter Cameron—charming, carefree, and the perfect (if slightly unpredictable) fake boyfriend. Their chemistry is undeniable, and watching them go from staged affection to something real was just pure joy.

The setting is dreamy, the banter is top-notch, and the emotional moments tugged at my heartstrings in the best way. It’s a story about love—not just romantic, but the love we have for family, and the lengths we go to for the people who matter most.

If you’re after a feel-good, laugh-out-loud, utterly romantic escape, this book is perfect. I adored every page!

A lovely story about two women, their lives and the romance that they wish to have. Showing the depths people are prepared to go to for their loved ones, the importance of second chances and above all hope and resilience.l
I would highly recommend reading this book as it’s just so heartwarming.

I’m a fan of this author and feel there’s a certain comfort when you start reading a style that you’re used to. Loved this addition and found myself whizzing through this really quickly.

Another cracking book from Bella Osborne an author who always delivers a story that I am absorbed by.

And this one has a fake dating trope too, which is one of my favourite romance tropes and done so well and for very good reasons .

Ros and Cameron though are total opposites and seeing them interact was fun. Ros is rather set in her ways, and opinionated, Cameron is a mature student and happy to earn extra money by agreeing to this arrangement.

We also get chapters from Darla's viewpoint and she is Ros's best friend and amongst other things is a house and pet sitter and thus a fair bit of comedy comes from her too.

Lovely characters with a Southampton setting that felt familiar from the small amount of time I have spent there.

I loved each and every word of this book.

Thank you to Avon and Netgalley for this copy which I have reviewed honestly and voluntarily.

I absolutely love this book. It had a great main and supportive cast of characters. Ros and Cameron with their grumpy / sunshine fake dating mix were delightful. I would highly recommend it.

Book Review: Finding Love at Sunset Shore

Reading Finding Love at Sunset Shore by Bella Osborne was like basking in the summer sun, complete with laughter and unexpected twists. From the first page, I connected with Ros, a dedicated daughter juggling work and caring for her ailing father. Her determination to fulfill her dad’s dying wish for her to find love struck a deep chord with me.

When Ros overhears her father’s wish, I could feel her pressure to deliver. Enter Cameron, a charming yet struggling mature student, who she hires to play the role of her boyfriend. I initially thought this premise would be light-hearted fun, and it certainly was, but it also evolved into something much deeper.

The chemistry between Ros and Cameron was electric, even amidst their chaotic faux relationship. As they navigated the ups and downs, their bickering and differences felt both real and relatable. I found myself laughing out loud at their antics while rooting for them to figure out their feelings amid the mayhem.

Osborne does a fantastic job of weaving humor with heartfelt moments. The supporting characters added depth, making the story feel vibrant and alive. As Ros and Cameron’s relationship unfolded, I appreciated how they both grew and challenged each other in unexpected ways.

By the end, I was left with a warm, fuzzy feeling that made me reflect on the importance of love and connection, even when life gets messy. Finding Love at Sunset Shore is a delightful escapist read, perfect for anyone seeking a fun and heartwarming romance. I closed the book with a smile, eager to revisit this charming world.

Another Bella Osborne book, and another corker!

Along with perfectly romantic, fun-packed plots, I'm always fascinated by the way Bella manages to create such quirky main characters. Roz is not your typical leading lady looking for love. She lives by her own tight rules and has low expectations of others, forged from a different kind of childhood. She is in fact the polar opposite of Cameron, a happy-go-lucky guy who lives each day as it comes and is happy to step into a fake boyfriend contract to give Roz's sick father some comfort. But when opposites attract, sparks fly and their story is addictive. Best friend Darla is an endearing character, fresh from her own heartbreak and I enjoyed following both of these funny, feisty women as they embarked on a new stage of their lives.

Fresh, zingy writing, as ever and purely escapist.

Rating: 4.5 Stars

Bella Osborne is at her hilarious and heartwarming best with her latest novel, Finding Love at Sunset Shore.

There is nothing in this world that Ros wouldn’t do for her beloved father who is not in the best of health. With her job and her responsibilities at home caring for her dad, Ros has certainly got neither the time nor the inclination for romance – until she hears her dying father admit that his greatest wish is for his dear daughter to find love. Ros doesn’t want a boyfriend, but knowing how much it would mean to her dad to see her happily settled in a relationship decides to make her father’s dream a reality – or at least, make it look like she has! Ros thinks that her plan is foolproof – until she meets her fake boyfriend Cameron and finds herself wondering just what she has let herself in for…

Mature student Cameron has a zest for life and a mountain of debt that keeps him up at night. When Ros suggests that he act as her boyfriend in exchange for payment, he jumps at the chance to earn some extra cash. Ros has meticulously set out plans for her fake relationship with Cameron, however, when he goes off-script, chaos quickly follows. But will stepping out of her comfort zone and away from her best laid plans just end up proving the best thing that’s ever happened to Ros?

The two of them might be chalk and cheese, however, Ros and Cameron quickly come to the conclusion that they simply cannot live without each other! Will they take a chance on a happy ending? Or will their fake romance leave them with no other choice but to go their separate ways?

Bella Osborne’s Finding Love at Sunset Shore is an irresistible romantic comedy that is dreamy, poignant and so funny readers will be laughing and crying in equal measure! A gorgeous romantic read about life’s unexpected surprises, finding happiness and falling in love with the right man at the wrong time, Finding Love at Sunset Shore is a hugely enjoyable and highly addictive page-turner that is a genuine struggle to put down – don’t miss it!

Absolutely loved this book!!!

The juxtaposition of Ros and Darla as friends is wonderful! They hold each other up with their own strengths. I really enjoyed watching Ros turn from this robotic rule follower into a softer more humane version of herself. Although based on a sad storyline I found the book light hearted, funny and very easy to read.

Darla is such a lovely character, it's such a shame she's living a lie for her parents. I did want to scream at the book 'Just tell them the truth!!'.

Cameron is also fantastic, bringing a spark into the book. The shopping scene made me laugh so much!!! He definitely helped bring the girls closer together.

Overall another fantastic book from Bella!

I’ve enjoyed every book by Bella Osborne that I’ve read and this was no exception. Ros and Cameron enter into a business contract to have a fake relationship so that her dad thinks she is not alone. Her friend Darla is working 3 jobs to pay off debts her ex built up.

I loved Ros and her flip charts but even they couldn’t give her the answer to her problems. Darla was such a fun positive person trying to do her best.

A great story of friendship, family and love with warmth and laughter which I really enjoyed.

I really enjoyed this one!

When Ros finds out her dad isn’t well, she needs to ensure his happiness - seeing her happily settled in life.
She finds a novel way of doing this, by hiring herself a boyfriend.
The characters are great, so different, you wonder how it will ever work!
As I’ve come to expect from this author, the books are fun, easy to read and pull you right in.
A must read, you certainly won’t regret!

A lovely feel good book. The characters were easy to follow and the thoughts of poor Darla having to face chickens, a cockerel and goats definitely made me laugh. It was good to follow Ros and her journey to loosening up in her life.

Ros is an amusing character who can’t hide what she is thinking and who wants to keep her feelings private. This is partly because of her childhood and the rejection she felt when her mother put her career first and left. However, her close friendship with Darla is genuine and she wants more than anything to make her Dad happy. You feel that people have to be persistent if they want to get close to her and prove to her that they are not going to leave. Cameron sets out as her fake boyfriend but you can sense their growing closeness.

I enjoyed all the humour in Darla’s exploits and her attempts to house sit the animals. There is a good rapport between her and Elliott and their story runs along as a parallel thread. In some ways, the star of the show is Gazza , Ros’s fathers’s dog who has such a good sense of character. As Ros is the grumpy to Cameron’s sunshine, you have an uplifting read, full of amusing moments and genuine, quirky characters.

In short: a hug of a story

An absolutely delightful read that I was truly dismayed to finish. The mix of characters is spot on and makes for entertaining reading. The depiction of the main character Ros is compelling, the awkwardness jumps off the page. The main storyline is complimented by the off shoot stories and really makes for a fresh reading experience.

Thank you Netgalley

I loved Bella Osbornes book The Library so jumped at the chance to read another one of her books

This was a nice easy read with some great characters. Personally I couldn’t take to Ros, however Darla & Cameron, I loved them!!!
For me my favourite storyline was Darlas, I chuckled a lot at her antics, and when Elliot is thrown into the mix it just gets better.

I’d love a follow up on Darla and her next chapter in life -Please make it happen!!

You can never go wrong with a Bella Osborne book. You are guaranteed friendship, love and a great plot.

This book is full of craziness and shenanigans (in a good way). It follows the story of Ros, who is trying to fulfill her dying father’s wish, by entering into a fake relationship with Cameron. Her friend, Darla’s story is also in the mix and I loved the two for one idea.

From start to finish, we are guaranteed great word building, lovable and relatable characters and an amazing story set in a fantastic location.

I loved the idea of mature characters and everyday working class people with everyday lives and problems. I loved all of the characters and was rooting for them. I loved the pairing Ros and Darla, Ros and Cameron, Darla and Elliot.

I didn’t want it to end and this is highly recommended for fans of women’s fiction, fake boyfriend and opposite attracts.

I received an advanced copy and the review is mine and voluntary.
