This was a cute children's book all about the queer community. I really liked the cute art style and the way that the information was prented. I think it would be easy for a kid to read and understand.

Always looking for new works that celebrate the Queer community in fun and exciting ways, and this one did not disappoint! Just as the title implies, this is truly a journey through history. This approach makes the community even more accessible to all - different ages and abilities still have something to gain from this fun little journey.

Pride: A Seek-and-Find Celebration is a wonderful book that is both a game and a form of education for young and old.

With vibrant and extremely detailed artwork, the reader searches for famous people as well as objects from LGBTQIA history as well as the various milestones the community has experienced in a 'Where's Wally' manner. I had great fun searching the pages as each era unfolds before you both good and bad - for example 'In The Closet' (1800s to 1960) which is a long and very dark period in LGBTQIA history and one that is important to talk about where you can look for the homosexual author, Oscar Wilde as well as poet and essayist Walt Whitman.

This is a wonderful book, both by how it looks because it's so vibrant and beautifully drawn, but it also is educational as it's not just a picture book. The author has taken the time to educate the reader but not make it overwhelming. I'd love to see this book in primary schools, and in many children's homes because representation matters and helping children understand that people not only come in different shapes and sizes etcetera but also can fall in love in different ways too. In 2024, families are looking more and more different, people are also able to become more aware of their gender at a younger age and books such as Pride: A Seek-and-Find Celebration can help with understanding and acceptance from not only a young age but in a creative way.

Beautiful illustrations by Diego Blanco and many infos about history I didn't know about. I like it very much, that it has a wide timeline and includes many different countries from all over the word.

The book is definitely on my presents-for-friends-and-family-list!

It was cute, I liked it! I would keep it around as an activity book or a timespender. Would I run out and buy it right away? Probably not unless I was already on the hunt for a Where’s Waldo type book.

A colorful seek-and-find book for adults, celebrating LGBTQ+ history past and present. The scenes are busy enough to make finding the featured people/objects challenging but not too impossible, and they're interspersed with "key" pages containing brief descriptions of each. Backmatter includes a glossary and a key to various Pride flags. Overall, an educational and fun new twist on the LGBTQ+ nonfiction genre.

This book is so cool! Every time I think I’ve learned about everything there is to know about our history, another book comes out to prove me wrong. I’m so grateful (chuckle).

I’m already looking in my genealogy chart to see if I’m related to the “chocolate cup” couple. I had never heard of this and I’m beyond fascinated and I’m going to find more books about them. I need to watch Suddenly Last Summer. I do not know how Alice Dunbar Nelson is not on my #TBRList or read pile, but I am quickly adding some books. I think it’s hysterical that Jennifer Coolidge is considered a rainbow staple.

Diego Blanco has put so much detail into this book. It’s incredible. The seek-and-find sections have so much on the page, that it does take more than a minute to find the objects/people on the pages. The instructions are clear. The history is fun to learn. It’s entertaining. I had a great time with Pride: A Seek-and Find Celebration. This book should definitely be in every library.

This book presents a brief history of the queer community, with characters, contexts and stories from around the world and often not known to me or other people I have spoken to about the book.
There are also sections on representation in media such as film, talk of pride, allies, music, flags and many other aspects. Everything is explained clearly and simply, with the support of a glossary at the end. The illustrations are beautiful, both of the individual subjects and the rich seek-and-find images. A fun book to introduce to the queer community, especially for younger people.

This was an ARC. By this point the book is already published.
It is what the title says an interactive book that offers game of seek the little draws of places, things and people that made an influence on the LGBTQ + community. Besides a little explanation of what they mean for the community.
If you’re read about the community or look for any information this book won’t offer you something that you don’t, the things are based on the most pop culture things related to. What this book offers is the fun activity of seeking the figures through its pages.

This is a beautiful book about pride good for pretty much all ages, with the seek and find activities throughout to make it more fun for younger readers (or older readers too!). There's information inside as well about LGBTQ+ and this book seems like a brilliant way for people to learn some things about the community and why it's so important for pride to continue happening!

Thank you NetGalley for an eARC of this book!

I'm writing this review before I've even finished it solely because I feel my love for this 'Where's Waldo' meets LGBTQIA+ gift is just too good. I have loved the in depth educational pages just as much as I've enjoyed going through and finding every little character. This will be a staple in my home from now on and an immediate purchase for thoughtful gifts for friends. Diego Blanco created a beautiful masterpiece, and I will be revisiting it often.

This was pretty short and sweet. I feel like it accomplishes exactly what it sets out to be: it is a cute pride-centered seek and find. It would make a nice coffee table book to entertain guests or customers.

This book could be used as an introduction to the Queer Community but I don't think it offers much more than that. I also didn't enjoy the way some of the short introductions were written

This seek and find book features a wide variety of queer history and culture through fun illustrations! I liked that it included a diverse array of queer icons, and the glossary of terms in the back was nice, especially for folks who may not be as familiar with queer terminology. My only complaint would be that I feel like there could have been more items/people to search for in each scene.

Brilliant! Humorous, clever and fun settings, funny and sometimes renowned characters accompanied by information.
The colours and the style are amazing, Hello J-Lo, Cyndie Lauper and Dan Radcliffe. Hello Frida Kahlo, Nutcracker, Gay Mean Girls. Hilarious, child and family friendly book.

What a brilliant idea for a book. Kept me totally engaged and wasn't over bearing. Nice short paragraphs with interesting information. Brightly coloured and managed to keep me interested all the book. Love the find and search as it made me look at everything. I think this is a great book aimed at younger children. Well done.

Where's Waldo but even more fun, gayer and full of great people and lgbtq history. It could have been gayer, I agree, but I had a lot of fun with this book nonetheless.

I had so much fun finding the items in each page! It's a thought out and well crafted book, not just in terms of the drawings and composition (I wasn't expecting it would take me a while to find everything) but also because of the stories and characters presented in each layout.

I'm glad I decided to pick this book, since I hadn't engaged with a seek-and-find book since I was a child. We should have more of these for adults, too!
