This book came a little late in my life. With nine children there was a lot of "duh" info here. Someone who is expecting their first might really enjoy it however.

This is a short and sweet read, full of practical advice and encouragement for moms. I already have a toddler, but the book has a lot of good reminders and strategies for parents about to welcome a second child as well. At first, I wasn't sure if this book would have anything new to say that I haven't already heard or read, but I was really impressed by how specific it was. While the book doesn't offer prescriptive advice on things like sleep training or potty training, it does a great job of preparing parents for difficulties they might encounter in childrearing, and things to think through (and talk through) ahead of time.

Though the book has some religious comments, pretty much all of the information is applicable even to non-Christian parents. I highly recommend it.

I read a free digital review copy through NetGalley; thank you to NetGalley and the publisher.

I could not get into this book. I made it to about 25%. I am sure I am going to try it again after I have my baby.

This is a great book for moms. While I didn’t finish it (no fault of the author) I still wanted to share that it was extremely eye opening and a relief to read. When you become a mom there are so many things that you don’t know. This book is a must read for new moms and moms that just need a reminder that they are doing a great job.
