Typical Christmas feel-good book worthy of a Hallmark movie vibe? Yup! Small town, old flames rekindled, second chances all around, discovering the magic of the season: all the elements needed are checked off. Pretty saccharine, true romance with out salacious content, kind language make this holiday read cozy. So grab a cup of hot chocolate and a throw, set the fire, and enjoy the story. Many thanks to #netgalley, #pamelakelly thechristmasinn for the opportunity to read and review this book. 3.5 / 5 rounded to a 4.

3.5 stars. This heartwarming Christmas book is exactly what you are looking for in a Christmas book. It is like reading a Hallmark movie. This book is set on a small town in Cape Cod. The story deals with three generations of women who come together during the holiday season to bring each other joy and hope. They find lasting friendships and possibly some love sprinkled in there. Thanks to Netgalley for the advance copy.

I received this book free of charger from NetGalley in exchange for my honest review.

Riley loses her job just before Christmas so she decide to head home to help her mom out. Her mom owns a B&B and recently broke her leg. She finds out that her high school boyfriend, Aiden, and his son are staying there while their home is being repaired. She loves reconnecting with Aiden, who lost his wife 3 years earlier but she has a boyfriend back in NYC. Jack is a lawyer who is workaholic trying to make partner and his firm. This doesn't leave much time for Riley. One of the other guests is Franny, who's sister recently died and left her 4 letters to read. One each week. I would love to see this story expanded on.

This was a fun read. Nothing earth shattering happens but a delightful rom-com. A solid 4/5 stars

This story was delightful to read. It's sweet, has big-time Hallmark vibes (even when it's not mentioned directly), and has something for readers of all ages.

One of my favorite aspects of this story is there is love for all ages. It can be romantic love, familial love, or platonic love. But also, you see love for hometown businesses and traditions. This was truly a story about finding joy in your life and I enjoyed that a lot.

Our story starts with Riley being unexpectedly laid off at work, due to AI taking over her team's roles on the Content Marketing team. She then finds out her mom has broken her leg and offers to come up for a few weeks to help out. When she tells her boyfriend, Jack(ass), he's nonchalant and Riley packs up her cat, Lily, and off they go.

Once Riley's back on the Cape, she finds herself spending time with her family, and guests at the family's bed & breakfast, including Aiden, her high-school sweetheart, and his son, Luke. Riley also meets Franny, who is visiting due to her older sister's passing and is fulfilling her last request, which was having Franny visit different places based on memories from their past.

One of my favorite parts of this story was that while it has the cheesy factor that we all love, there are some definite improvements over an actual Hallmark movie. For one, I liked that was some more realism for the characters and their careers. Riley has her job, and she's in a position where AI has eliminated her role: AI is discussed so much in the media, but I appreciated the author including such a relevant issue. I also really liked that Aiden has stayed in Chatham, but he has a successful career, and it didn't involve running some very obscure, niche, small business.

Another aspect I enjoyed was that, from a romance aspect, we see couples of all ages having a chance to connect. Riley's story dominates, but we see her Mom, and Sean, Franny, and her high-school-sweetheart, Joe. I appreciated this because as you age, your views on love and relationships change. The things you think are so important in your 20s may be less important in your 50s, or 70s. It was nice to see the phases of life and love be highlighted.

I would definitely recommend this book. It's a wonderful palette cleanser, especially if you usually read heavier books. From a purely holiday story perspective, this story has small-town charm, precious memories and second chances, and the love that makes the Christmas season so magical.

Pamela Kelley does it again; what cute Christmas joy to add to your list this year! ‘The Christmas Inn’ feels like watching a Hallmark movie in your fave cozy chair, wrapped in a blanket with a hot chocolate.

The novel follows Riley, who after losing her job unexpectedly, heads home to help her Mom run their Inn. There is a great cast of characters, with lots of moments of humor and love.

If you love sweet, holiday-themed books, add this one to your wish list this year!

Thank you to Netgalley and St Martin’s Press by the ARC of this novel; all opinions are my own.

The Christmas Inn had all the Hallmark feels in this book that I couldn't put down and highly recommend. Brew a cup of cinnamon tea, picture yourself in Cape Cod and treat yourself to this hearwarming story about second chances at love and the bonds that unite families. Make your TBR list and check it twice but put this at the top of the list. Pamela's Kelley's novel is heartwarming and will fill you with the holiday spirit!

This story gives all the feel good Hallmark Christmas movie vibes. It’s a cute story with a very happy ending! Who doesn’t love a widowed single father finding love again with his high school sweetheart?!
This is an intergenerational story with multiple characters finding love.

The Inn made for the perfect setting! I love all of the descriptions of the inn, the activities, and the food they served. This story definitely made me hungry.

Overall, a sweet story that will put you in the mood for Christmas!

Wow! Just finished this sweet story of second chances. I simply couldn't put this novel down. Reading a Pamela Kelley novel is always a treat
I knew there was a reason I didn't like Jack. I don't like someone who's practically married to his work.
Riley is is a smart lady and I liked her immediately just not her name lol.
Sometimes it takes time and space for the right reasons for us to realize our dreams.
Did I say that the food in this story will absolutely make you drool? It definitely did me! Wow!
I really enjoyed this story.
I wished I had some of Luke's energy!
The cover is gorgeous y'all.
There's also no place like home. Home is the nicest word there is. Friends and family are what makes a home and sometimes just maybe even the town itself.
I love reading books with the setting of Chatham in it.
5 stars for keeping me engaged from start to finish
I highly recommend.
My thanks for a copy of this book. I was NOT required to write a positive review. All opinions expressed are mine.

This was such an enjoyable Christmas read! I loved everything that Riley and her mom, Beth did to make the Christmas Inn more marketable for the holidays. Everything happens for a reason and Riley soon found her joy being back at home in Chatham with her family and out of the city. Sweet read!

This book was just a lovely Christmas story. You want to curl up in front of the fire and become a guest of the Christmas Inn to be a witness to all of the wonderful things happening inside it's walls and to experience the essence of Christmas. This book is heartwarming and the characters are every day normal people who are looking for something to fill in the gaps within their lives. It is exactly the kind of book you are looking for in a holiday read!

The Christmas Inn is a feel-good holiday story. It could easily be a Hallmark movie, sweet, clean and satisfying. There are several different story lines going on in this book which keeps it moving. The characters are all the kind of people I want to be friends with in real life.

Thanks to NetGalley and St. Martin's Press for my review copy of this book.

After being laid off from a job she loves, and hearing about her moms broken leg. Riley returns home for the holidays to help her mom out with her bed and breakfast in Cape Cod. One of guests just so happens to be her high school sweetheart, and his son. As well as Franny who is grieving the loss of her sister and reading letters she left her. The longer she stays in Cape Cod, the more she starts to reevaluate her outlook on life.

The Christmas Inn is a feel good, second chance romance story set in an idyllic setting around Christmas. It gave me all the Christmas hallmark feels and I was here for it all; charming small town, cute BnB, loveable characters and all the Christmas cheer. I really loved this story as we follow three of the main characters, Riley, Fanny and Riley's mom Beth while each navigated different paths via each POV.

I just felt the ending was a little bit too rushed which bummed me out a little.

Thank you Netgalley and St. Martin's Press for this book in exchange for an honest review!

If you are looking for a cozy feel good small town Christmas escape look no further. This book had everything I want in a Christmas story. We meet Riley, who is going through some life changes and comes home to help out her mom at her Inn. There we meet a wonderful parade of characters who all intermingle with each other beautifully.

The Christmas Inn by Pamela M. Kelley is the kind of feel-good holiday read that you just want to curl up with. I’m a big fan of her books, and this one definitely lives up to the hype. Riley’s journey back to Chatham, after being laid off right before Christmas, pulls you right into the cozy charm of small-town life. Helping her mom at the family BnB and reconnecting with her past, including an old high school flame, brings all the warmth you’d expect from a holiday romance.

Aidan and his son Luke absolutely stole my heart—every character in this book is just so likable, it’s impossible not to get attached. And while there were moments where the details, especially around the food, felt a bit much, it didn’t take away from the overall experience. If anything, it added to that cozy Christmas vibe.

The story ties everything together beautifully, with multiple plotlines that wrap up in a way that leaves you completely satisfied. If you’re looking for a holiday book that’s full of heart and warmth, The Christmas Inn is a must-read. Pamela M. Kelley has a way of making you feel right at home, and this book is no exception.
