Description
Explore this delightfully cozy and joyful novel of second chances at the most wonderful time of the year, from USA Today bestselling author Pamela Kelley.
A feel-good novel as delightful and comforting as a cup of hot chocolate on a cold winter’s night, The Christmas Inn is bestselling author Pamela Kelley’s most heartwarming and magical book yet.
Riley Sanders didn’t plan on losing her job as a content marketing manager right before Christmas. When she calls her sister Amy to vent, she learns that their mother has broken her leg and could really use some help at the inn. Riley decides to head home to the inn, nestled along the shores of Cape Cod, in time for the Christmas rush. She is happy to help and needs something to distract her as mistletoe is hung and snowflakes begin to fall.
When she gets there, she not only finds delicious cookies and a crackling fire to lift her spirits, but also the sense of family she’s been missing all along. There’s Franny, a woman who has just lost her sister and has four unopened letters from her that she plans to use to open her up to new experiences on the Cape. And there’s Aidan, her high school sweetheart, now a widower, who is staying at the inn with his nine year-old son, Luke. What begins as a quick stay over the holidays to help her mom turns into something that means much more—a second chance at romance, a deeper sense of found family, and all the joy and wonder that comes with Christmastime on Cape Cod.

After losing her job in Manhattan just before Christmas, Riley returns home to Chatham for the holidays to help her mother at her bed and breakfast. Riley misses Manhattan and her boyfriend, but she soon falls into a comfortable routine in her hometown. After meeting new friends and getting reacquainted with an old flame, Riley begins to wonder if searching for a new job in Manhattan is the right move for her.
True to form, Pamela Kelley has written yet another heartwarming story that makes you feel like you've made new friends by the end of the book! The characters are down to earth and likeable, and the author has you cheering for them along the way. The story is reminiscent of a Hallmark movie and is a nice break when you need to relax and just enjoy a good story.
I am so glad I was able to read this upcoming novel thru NetGalley and the author Pamela Kelly. It was fun to read on a hot beach day on the Cape and will be very popular this winter too. The author sets her novel on Cape Cod and her descriptions are very true. The characters in the book all experience growth and it’s another winner for Pamela Kelley!
Absolutely loved this book! I love reading Christmas books in July and this one did not disappoint! Pamela Kelley is one of my favorite authors and have never read a book of hers that I haven't loved!
This was the first book I read by Pamela Kelley. A 5 star read for me. It was an enjoyable book that I couldn’t put down. Finished it in one sitting . Felt like the perfect Christmas hallmark story. It made you feel like you were there with the characters in the story. I felt Riley’s sadness and regret once she went back to Manhattan after being home. It was heart warming once she went back home to Chatham. Will be reading more of her books.
The Christmas Inn by Pamela M. Kelley is beautiful romance with a Christmas theme. Second chances at love with three ladies from three generations. Ideal combination of festive joy, romance, and cozy sentiments. An enjoyable and fun reading experience all around which I will be rereading during the Holiday Season.
Thank you to the author, St. Martin's Press/St. Martin's Griffin and Netgalley for the opportunity to preview the book.
It is feel good Christmas story. No steamy sex scenes which makes a nice quick winter read. Grab a cup of Cocoa and let Riley's, Beth's and even Frannie's stories warm your heart
“The Christmas Inn” by Pamela Kelley is a sweet, cozy read that totally gives off Hallmark movie vibes. Such a cute Christmas on the Cape read! It is about Riley who loses her job and heads home to help her mom at their struggling inn. The inn’s got some issues, but with a few new ideas and the magic of Christmas, things start looking up. Plus, there’s some romance with her high school sweetheart, Aidan, who’s back in town with his son.
This book has all the festive feels you’d want. It’s light, cheerful, and perfect for getting into the holiday spirit. Some parts are a bit predictable, but overall, it’s a nice, feel-good read for the holidays.
Thank you NetGalley and St. Martin’s Press for sending this book for review consideration. All opinions are my own.
This book is the written version of a Hallmark Christmas movie. Our main character Riley loses her job in New York due to her whole department being replaced by AI. Right around this time she finds out from her sister that her Mother has broken her leg. This sets us up for Riley to return to her hometown to be able to help her mother with the Inn she owns. Here we get to meet a few of the people staying a the Inn, One of these people is Franny who is back in town because her sister is very sick. We get to see part of the book through her point of view along with Riley's. We also get to follow Beth, Riley's Mother, in this story. I thought it was wonderful getting to see their little town from different points of view.
This book had all the lovely touches you would expect if you went to an actual Inn at Christmas time. It is the perfect mix of holiday spirit, romance, and cozy feelings.
Overall I think this book was very well written and is perfect for getting you into the holiday spirit,
Ai love Pamela Kelly’s books and this is no exception. A delightful story of second chances at love for 3 generations of women that bring a smile and warmth to your heart. Pamela writes with such detail that I have pictures in my mind as I read and became vested in the women’s stories. Set on the eastern coast in a cozy b and b you will lose yourself in this sweet Christmas tale.
Once again, Pamela Kelley gifts a delightful Christmas romance to her fans! Set on Cape Cod, Kelley weaves a tale of true love, and happiness for multiple generations to enjoy. Characters from previous novels are reintroduced as good friends, adding to the joy of the season in Chatham. It’s the perfect read as the season changes, and you will want to enjoy it by a warm fire with a hot beverage. Put your pre-order in today; you won’t want to miss this Yuletide gem….it will lift your spirits this holiday and make a great stocking stuffer too!
Absolutely enchanting! The Christmas inn wrapped me in cozy vibes from start to finish. The writing is beautifully descriptive, painting vivid scenes of snow-covered streets, crackling fires, and festive decorations. The characters are endearing, with their chemistry leaping off the page and warming the heart. Each chapter feels like a warm hug, blending romance with holiday magic perfectly. If you’re looking for a heartwarming tale that embodies the spirit of Christmas, this book is a must-read.
