Absolutely enchanting! The Christmas inn wrapped me in cozy vibes from start to finish. The writing is beautifully descriptive, painting vivid scenes of snow-covered streets, crackling fires, and festive decorations. The characters are endearing, with their chemistry leaping off the page and warming the heart. Each chapter feels like a warm hug, blending romance with holiday magic perfectly. If you’re looking for a heartwarming tale that embodies the spirit of Christmas, this book is a must-read.

“The Christmas Inn” by Pamela M. Kelley
Sweet Coming Home Romance (s ?)
It is an Inn. It is the Christmas holiday season. The inn’s guests and the town of Chatham (on Cape Cod) Massachusetts will welcome you in to enjoy their story. Some times folks get lucky and have a second chance. This is one sweet contemporary romance; I hope you do not miss your chance to enjoy. In case you have not figured it out; I loved this story. Happy Reading ! !
Oh I like this story! When one door closes another opens. A lost job turns into time spent with her mom. The B&B is struggling. A few new ideas and some advertising may turn things around. And of course there is a romance. Jack seems a major workaholic. He did not warm my heart. Just too self absorbed. Then there is the old high school boyfriend. He and his son are staying in the B&B while waiting for home repairs to be done. There is time to connect again and catch up on life after high school. Oh and Mom has a new romantic interest too. All the storylines come together to make a nice story of family and friends. I enjoyed the book.
I enjoyed this feel good book about second chances, Christmas at a family inn, and family. Riley wound up losing her job and decided to return home to her family inn in order to help out her injured mother. It is at her family's inn that she discovers the cozy atmosphere of the inn itself, along with Christmas, as well as a found family and perhaps a second chance at love. This is a book I will probably revisit during the holiday season.

What is not to love about this book! I was already a fan of Pamela Kelley so when I had the chance to read an early copy of her newest book (and a Christmas book at that!!), I couldn't wait! I try to hold off on holiday books until at least after Labor Day but not this one. And I'm glad I didn't wait!
Set in picturesque Cape Cod, this story brings everything that makes us cherish the magical time of Christmas--family, romance, fires and cookies! It's easy to quickly come to love the main character, Riley, and root for her as she unexpectantly ends up back home for Christmas. What is at first a plan to go home for a short time to help her mom, becomes so good for Riley's soul that she stays longer. And during her stay, she meets Franny and Aidan, two people separately dealing with grief after the loss of family, who become so important to Riley that she rediscovers her love not only for the Inn and Cape Cod, but also romance, family and the magic of Christmas that she can only find on the Cape.
This book will give you all the warmth and glow that you hope to find when reading a holiday book!
This book ,was really good. It was heartfelt and romantic. I loved how it talked about the love lives of three women. All of them had happy endings. 3.5 stars out of 5
The Christmas Inn is a feel good holiday book that is pretty straight forward. I felt like the story was dragging on in a few places and I found my mind wandering while I was reading it. The characters and their relationships needed a little more depth. There are no surprises in this book, just a simple easy read that will put you in the Christmas spirit.
In The Christmas Inn, we meet Riley who recently lost her job. Her mother owns an Inn on the cape but ended up breaking her leg. Riley ends up leaving New York to help her mom run things as she applies for a new job. It turns out, Riley's old high school boyfriend Aiden and his son are staying at the Inn while their house is being fixed. Old sparks fly between Riley and Aiden but will Riley be willing to give up her New York life to return to the cape?

LOVE LOVE LOVED THIS BOOK It was such a sweet holiday read and I really enjoyed this book a lot. Pamela Kelley is my favorite author!
Everything about 'The Christmas Inn' is a wonderful delight. There is a spectrum of characters that each have challenges of loss that are endearingly resolved surrounding an inn in Chatham, Mass. There is warmth and love, all during the holiday season, which adds an extra layer of joy. The characters were likeable, all things that I can highly recommend. I will be looking for more by this author.
I received a complimentary copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley. The opinions expressed in this review are entirely my own.
Pamela Kelley never disappoints with her books I am a huge fan of hers and this one does not disappoint. Her books are a comfort and I’m always sad to see them end. I love that this book is a stand alone for her but she also sprinkles in characters from pasts novels. It’s like checking in with old friends.
I’m so thankful I got to read this before the Christmas season but I plan on rereading it again at Christmas I enjoyed it so much.
The Christmas Inn is a story about Riley who is at a crossroads after losing her job unexpectedly right before Christmas. She heads home to Chatham to help her mom Beth run her Inn since she has broken her leg. The story follows many of the guests at the Inn and the magic of Christmas and how good things happen when you least expect them.
Check in to the Christmas Inn and you'll enjoy your stay. Families are at crossroads including Beth recovering from an ankle injury and her daughter, Riley returning to the Cape after losing her job. While finding their footing, guests filled with Christmas cheer reawaken the owners' love for the season.
Former flames burn bright as memories bring back visions of sweeter years. Fanny's letters are penned with love and require traveling back to childhood to unlock special times. A father with his young son are missing their matriarch but seeking refuge at the Inn affords being wrapped in holiday cheer.
Get ready for a romantic escape read to celebrate the season. The only problem with visiting, is that you hate to leave!
A cozy Christmas read that allowed me to escape to a little village in Cape Cod. It is a predictable story, but that was what made it fun to read. Christmas stories should be happy and filled with family and friend moments.
The Christmas Inn has a cast of multi generations, each with their own little story line. It is a story of reconnection and learning what is important to each one. It is a feel good book that went slightly overboard with the food descriptions, especially the wine and cheese. As expected, happy endings for all. I am sure readers would like to visit these characters again.
I absolutely love these romance titles. Perfect to add to your holiday TBR, this book will get you into the Christmas spirit! I devoured this book.
I thoroughly enjoyed this holiday offering. The characters were engaging, the storyline was driven by just enough drama, and the town of Chatham on Cape Cod was a beautiful setting.
This book is such a delight. I haven’t been to the Cape, however the small town feeling and genuine characters made for a wonderful story. Family, love, and friendships balance with work and provide time for everyone to spend quality time together. Mix in the holidays and touches of snow to add to make the perfect setting. Thanks for the advanced reader copy.
I’ve always enjoyed books from Pamela Kelley, and this one is no different. It’s the heartwarming Christmas romance we all want at that time of year. Riley is the main character that is having relationship and job issues. There are some strong supporting characters too. While I think the reader should be able to figure out what will happen, I think a light, heartwarming story with a happy ending for all is just what I want for a Christmas story.
Thank you to Netgalley and St Martin Press for an advanced copy in exchange for my honest review.
I'm giving Pamela M. Kelley's The Christmas Inn five stars for the way it made me feel all the way through the book. It's about second chances, not just for the main character but for two supporting characters, and it features many of the tropes that contemporary romance/women's fiction include: losing a job, going back home to assist a family member, running into a past love, and a cozy small town (Chatham, Massachusetts on Cape Cod) during the Christmas holidays. From the early chapters of the book, readers can just about plot the rest of story themselves.
BUT IT WORKS! At least, it worked for me because it wasn't demanding, which I needed after reading more difficult books. There weren't impossible roadblocks to happiness. There wasn't much of the usual miscommunication keeping the couples from finding that happiness. But there was still some gentle suspense--will this character choose the right job, the right man? Will that one decide whether to go back home or stay in Chatham?
The children are realistic and well behaved. Characters of varying ages, including two women "of a certain age," are lovingly described and given their own stories. And the author, who was new to me, writes in such an accessible, engaging, and accomplished manner that it was pure pleasure to read the book. Best of all, it is set during the Christmas holidays, and it is one of the best at immersing the reader in the joy of that season. I will definitely look for more from Pamela M. Kelley.
My thanks to St. Martin's Press/St. Martin's Griffin and NetGalley for the opportunity to read and provide an honest review of this book.
i have enjoyed other books by this author and was looking forward t this one. For me it did not measure up. I did not find the characters and their dilemmas as engaging. The descriptions of food and wine seemed excessive. Sad me.
