*Fae* by C.J. Abedi is the first book in a fantasy series that delves into the magical and mysterious world of the Fae. The story follows the protagonist, Kaylee, a teenager who discovers that she is part of the Fae realm and has a deeper connection to the magical world than she ever imagined. As she grapples with her new reality, Kaylee becomes entangled in a dangerous world filled with secrets, betrayal, and forbidden romance.

Abedi’s writing is immersive and descriptive, effectively drawing readers into a world of magic, intrigue, and danger. The world-building is rich, with an intriguing blend of Fae mythology and the modern world. The romance in the novel is slow-burn and filled with tension, adding an emotional layer to the high-stakes adventure. Kaylee's journey of self-discovery is central to the plot, and her growth as a character makes her relatable and compelling.

While the book follows some familiar fantasy tropes, *Fae* stands out for its captivating premise, strong character development, and engaging plot twists. It’s a great choice for fans of YA fantasy, magical realism, and stories about discovering hidden powers and navigating the complexities of love and loyalty.

Sadly I just could not connect with this book. I love the fae but this didn’t grab me as much as I’d hoped.

Okay. I've read all the reviews here and I'm honestly shocked at the anger that some of these people have at this book. I loved it. Some people talk about how there was too much romance, but the book is about young love. I loved Caroline.
