A lot of information that is very accessibly written that it didn't feel overwhelming. The graphics and layout are the star of this book and support the information perfectly. A sheer delight to read.
This was a delightful cookbook full of vibrant and colourful recipes that could really inspire you to eat the rainbow.
The book is split in two parts: one part about what each chakra is and does and an overall idea on what foods to eat for it, and the second part - where you can find all the recipes.
And the recipes really do look amazing. This is not the usual healthy/wellness cookbook that seems hard to approach or that needs you to spend way too much on ingredients. This book is inviting and you can easily customise the recipes.
Very exciting cookbook.
I loved the information in this book, so many helpful tips and recommendations, this is a great resource for anyone working on opening and balancing their chakras. Recipes were ok and I might even try making some of these dishes, but for me most interesting pages were with crystals, yoga poses, and more ways to support each chakra. I am going to buy this book and use as a resource when needed. Highly recommend.
I loved this book. Even if you aren’t interested in the chakra portion (I know I know hear me out) the recipes are THAT good. Healthy recipes that are flavorful, and easy to make. Now not every ingredient will be easy to find if you live in a small town but they can be ordered online.
4.5 stars (simply for the ingredient availability) but because of the amazing information and recipes I’m rounding up to 5.
I really enjoyed reading this. I got so much useful information out of this book, that I will definitely adapt into my own life. Really recommend this!
This is a great guide on chakras, what they mean and what foods and practices best benefit each. It even includes recipes with each chakra in mind, along with yoga poses that best benefit each chakra.
I liked the layout of this recipe book, it was easy to follow and had a lovely clear colourful selection of notes and information.
Thank you the arc.
I love having this resource for food, spiritual healing, and energy in one place! A great reference to refer back to time and time again. This contains a lot of great recipes and easy to understand illustrations for learning chakras. Great for beginners and advanced followers who are interested in spiritual healing and self care. A full comprehensive resource that's relatable to all. I can't wait to buy a copy for myself and to give as a gift. Thank you NetGalley for providing me with a copy of this book. Feed Your Chakras will be released on May 21, 2024.
Feed Your Chakras is a very interesting book which is full of lovely photos of the dishes which I always like. It is good to see what you might be making!
There is lots of information with each recipe about the benefits of the dish and it’s ingredients which I found very interesting.
Lots of delicious sounding recipes which use accessable ingredients, one I want to try is the ‘Matcha frozen yoghurt bark’.
I love reading about mind/body connection stuff already, so this pick was an obvious choice for me! And there are beautiful, colorful recipes in it.
The author walks you through all of the 7 chakras individually, and gives you ideas for foods, yoga poses, crystals, scents, and affirmations that could go with each one.
There is a strong emphasis on "eating the rainbow" here - since each chakra is associated with a different color - but the book is not inherently touting any specific diet. This is not a vegan cookbook, nor is it gluten-free, paleo, etc. It does offer ideas on how to modify some recipes to make them fit different diets, though, if you are an adherent of any of those.
Overall, this was a fun and colorful book. I look forward to trying out some of the recipes!
Thank you to NetGalley and to the publisher for this ARC in exchange for an honest review.
This was such a creative idea and full of beautiful photographs! At times it was a bit overwhelming to navigate, but overall very beautiful and interesting.
Great, moving inspiration that brings you to a positive space of mind. Definitely recommend this resource for anyone that wants to lead a healthier, more positive life. No stress
I really like how the book was organized. It is a great resource that you would return to over and over. I would love to recommend this book to my yoga clients.
A vibrant and clear cookbook exploring how balancing our chakras through nutrition can increase overall wellbeing. The first part of this cookbook is an interesting and straightforward introduction to chakras, with a handy breakdown to the types of food which nourish each one. The second part contains recipes which included simple and clear instructions, good labelling for food allergies, and colourful accompanying pictures. A lot of the recipes I had not come across before and it was a great collection of healthy and delicious drinks and meals. Would particularly recommend this book to someone who is new to the chakras but is interested in holistic wellbeing and wants to explore chakras.
Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for the ARC of this cookbook!
FEED YOUR CHAKRAS is an incredible and easy to understand resource to learn how to nourish your chakras and promote holistic wellbeing. Even as someone who knows quite a bit about chakras and nutrition, I still found this very valuable! In addition to the vibrant, mouthwatering recipes, I liked and appreciated how the author also mentions crystals, yoga poses, affirmations, and other simple tools to guide each chakra into balance, thus benefiting the parts of self, body and life the chakra pertains to. The recipes can be easily tailored to fit your dietary needs.
I can’t wait to get my hands on my own physical copy and start cooking such gorgeous meals!
Much gratitude to Wellfleet Press and NetGalley for the arc in exchange for honest review.
Thank you to NetGalley and Quarto Publishing Group - Wellfleet Press for an ARC of this book.
Wow! This book was so much more than what I was expecting, not only does it have great recipes complete with pictures, but it also includes the crystals that would be best for each chakra. This book is a wealth of information and I will be buying a copy as well. Highly recommend!
Feed Your Chakras focuses on the seven energy centers, meditation, and recipes that will help maintain your balance. The colors and illustrations are beautiful in the cookbook. A very beautifully written book that goes into great detail and you would want to reread multiple times.
The sections are Part 1: Chakras 101, Part II: Recipes, Breakfast, Starters, Soups, and Salads, Mains, & Snacks and Treats.
Part 1: Chakras provides information of the concepts of chakras. Each chakra goes in depth on the chakra, the different characteristics, how to fuel that chakra, crystals, yoga poses, affirmations, and ways to support the chakra. There is a lost of depth in information with lists of food and meal plan examples. There are images of the yoga poses as well as a description of how to do each pose. The book is very thorough on each chakra and the benefits that they provide.
Part 2: Recipes on how to support and balance your chakras. There are recipes that are dairy free, gluten free, grain free, paleo, vegan, and vegetarian. The recipes are very easy to read and follow along. Each recipe says what chakra(s) it helps support. The recipes also provide different ways to customize the food.

I loved this!!
Not only is this brilliantly illustrated and laid out - but it is jam packed full of info! But never in an overwhelming way! It has so much info in this book, and I loved the opening chapter revealing more about the individual chakras. It was so easy to digest the info - and is a great book to dip in and out of, and reference specific items at a time.
The recipes are just a bonus!
Really really recommend!!
A compact reference book packed chock-full of tips and information. No filler here! For each chakra, we get suggestions on key food group(s) to focus on, specific foods that are particularly great fits, considerations about food color, a comprehensive list of chakra-supporting foods, an a week-long sample meal plan. PLUS a page each on the following for that specific chakra: crystals, yoga poses, affirmations, and more ways to support. Wow. This is much more than what I expected based on the title (I took it literally to just be talking about food...this is about feeding your chakras in every way!). I already have a lot of books that are either all about chakras, or contain sections on chakras, and I still found a lot to love about this little book. In fact, that made me love it more, because as I said - it has a ton of info but none of the filler, so everything is quick and easy to find. I'll be buying myself a copy when it comes out.
I was particularly excited to come across this book because I'm realizing I need to help strengthen my root chakra. The suggestions made immediate sense - eat more protein, especially red meat if you're a meat-eater (I am). Eat more beets (I love 'em!). Drink hibiscus tea - I've got some in the cupboard that I used to drink every day and had fallen off the wagon. These are easy adjustments, along with spending some time in nature, and doing tree pose. (How about tree pose while in nature? That sounds lovely!)
A special shout-out of appreciation to the fact that the recipes are all labeled according to whether they are dairy-free, gluten-free, grain-free, paleo, vegetarian, vegan, etc. And nearly all of them are dairy-free and gluten-free. Most are vegetarian. Plenty fall into the other categories. So purchase with confidence that you can actually benefit from the recipes, if you fall into any of these categories.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for providing this eARC for unbiased review. This review will be cross-posted to my social media accounts closer to the book release date.
Thank you for the opportunity to review this book! It was such a lovely little book to go through, and I loved all the colours and illustrations throughout the book. For someone who has not read about chakras before, I found the beginning of the book very useful in going over what each of the chakras entails. I also liked how each chakra section had other ways to help this specific chakra, including the yoga poses. I have not had a chance to try any of the recipes yet, but I am very excited to try quite a few!
