Thank you to Briar Boleyn and Netgalley and Starwater press for a chance to read this arc in exchange for an honest review.

I cannot believe it’s order. Writing this final review is incredibly bittersweet. My face is still wet with the tears I sobbed for the last however many pages.

Despite all the aforementioned sobbing, the ending was perfect for Draven and Morgan. I love them and I love their love.

Now that this is officially a completed series, I can wholeheartedly say YES! Read it!! There is no “second book slump” like so many series have. It’s amazing all the way through. The characters are lovable and dynamic. There are flying cats and giant, talking bearkins. There’s love, betrayal, friendship, found family, and of course a lot of tragedy. Due to this being a dark fantasy, always check trigger warnings and then jump in and ENJOY this masterpiece! I’ve already suggested it to multiple of my bookish friends! 🥀

Knight of the Goddess is the fourth and final book in the Blood of a Fae series.

This book is the conclusion to Morgan and Draven's story and their quest to destroy the artifacts and destroy Morgan's father. After the Pendrath war, peace settles in Camelot, but Morgan and Draven face a new threat looming as an ancient evil emerges. They rush to aid allies, leaving a vulnerable family member behind. The quest to destroy powerful artifacts leads them on a perilous journey across kingdoms, unearthing long-buried secrets and confronting ominous prophecies.

I'm sad that this series is over. Not only do I really enjoy the characters in this series, but I love the addition of the creatures too. I want an exmoor! Something new in this book that I also really enjoyed was the perspective from the one family member that was left behind.

The world building was done really well and not too much or dragged out. I also really appreciated the author's writing. The author brings remarkably authentic characters to life, notably Morgan, a strong and determined protagonist fighting for justice and peace. Her evolving powers and the dynamic with the MMC Draven creates a compelling narrative that leaves readers eager for more, wishing for a glimpse into their happy ever after.

I would definitely recommend this series to romantasy readers, those that like King Arthur retellings, and badass heroines.

Thank you to NetGallery and the publisher for an e-arc.

We’ve reached the finale of the series and it’s just as full of danger as the other books. I enjoyed diving into the Arthurian (or no longer Arthurian) world of fae and magical beasts one last time, seeing the solidity in Morgan and Draven’s relationship after all of their turmoil, and watching them battle once more for their family, their friends, and their people. These two are the epitome of a power couple, for sure! We’re kept on our toes throughout and are once more travelling across the lands as Morgan seeks out the man who is attacking her dreams. I found the developments with Morgan’s niece to be a less pleasant part of the story though as we reach the end it’s clear why this element of the story was crafted in this way but to me it was quite jarring. In contrast the continuity of the bonds between Morgan, Draven and their friends is heartwarming and the loyalty inspiring and it was good to see them together again even if their journey was a difficult one. The series was neatly tied up at the end and the twists and turns were interesting.

I received a free copy of this book. All views are my own.

These guys have really been through it. I am glad to have a bit of closure and possibly (hopefully) a peaceful and relaxing rest of their lives. The series has been filled with action and adventure and the final book was no different.

I love Morgan and Draven for each other. They had that sweet devotion that we love from fated mates, as well as that hot passion 😉🫠

Thanks to #NetGallery and publisher for a copy of this book.

Genre: Romance/Fantasy FM

Thank you NetGalley and Starwater press for the chance to read this book!

I was so sad when this book fell flat. I feel like it wanted to wrap everything with a little bow and cut corners with the story. It does conclude the story with a happily ever after but the build up is horrible. It brings up a storyline I thought I'd never read again and it just threw me off the whole story and then it kind of just easily falls into place with no mention of the others left behind. I so wanted to love this series because book 2 was amazing and book 3 had great build up to an amazing ending but it didn't happen.

What a great end to the series! The cast of characters in the series is brilliant, with my particular favourites being the exmoors. The reveal at the end completely took me by surprise but it was brilliantly led up to. Excited to read whatever BB writes next!

Thank you to NetGalley and Briar Boleyn for providing me with an eARC of Knight of the Goddess in return for my honest opinion. Please note I am also on the street team for Briar, but I have not let this bias the following review.

Knight of the Goddess is the epic conclusion to the blood of a Fae series. What an absolute journey this series has been. In summary, Camelot but make it fae and smutty haha. I've had to take a little minute to recover before completing my review because far out, this final book hurt me, too many times. I can picture Briar sitting there writing this book, wondering how she could cause chaos and pain, thought of several options, then decided to hit us with all of the painful options... You have favourite characters? Don't, you will be crushed. You think someone is safe because there's no way she would kill them off right? NOBODY is safe. *Spoiler* apart from Draven and Morgan, they get a HEA, but that's all I'm giving you. There was one certain death that had me SOBBING. I don't know if I have truly forgiven Briar for this death yet (I have even removed one star from my review for this one because I am really butthurt), I really don't want to spoil this one because it's really shocking but guys, have the tissues close by.

Ok I have had my rant now, back to the actual review.. The plot is really fast paced and there is lots of action happening at all times, you will not get bored. With the fast pace, I did struggle to keep up at times and in hindsight should have done a reread of the previous books to remember all the little easter eggs from previous books. There was a lot of reveals in this book and I think if i had of done the reread I wouldn't have been so suprised or confused at times, there is a lot of "ahh of course, just as I thought", and I was like "when? when did we think this?!" haha. Again this is on me though for not doing the reread.

I loved the addition of the new POV, I don't want to spoil anything but I thik this really helped explain what was going on back at Camelot and aided the reader in growing attached and emphasising to a new charater introduced in book three. There were lots of great momemnts with side characters, reuinions we had been waiting for and many heartbreaking scenes with some of my favourite side characters. One reunion is especially devasting andI'm not sure there was a resolution to something identified in this storyline, but I may have missed it. In my previous reviews of this series I have talked of my love of the exmoors.. Knight of the Goddess was no exception, I adore Nightclaw and Sunstrike so so much. I really loved one of the little surprises with the exmoors, but was VERY upset about another.. *Massive side-eye Briar* You know what you did!!

The spice.. Three words.. Throne room scene.. *chefs kiss* Also... Altar scene? No notes... The relationship with Morgan and Draven is top tier, I know in porevious reviews I have talked about my dislike for the use of "mate" in books, but I found it actually didn't bother me in this book! There were a couple of moments I found myself getting a little frustrated with Morgan and her lack of communication and empathy at times for Draven, there were moments were she seemed to just almost shut down and only focus on how things were affecting her, with no consideration of her mate. There were a couple of times when things really affected Draven and it took a hot minute for Morgan to realise that she was being a little self absorbed and needed to check in with Draven. To be fair there was a lot going on at all times, so one can be forgiven for being an emotional wreck, but please check in with your mate!

Overall an epic but gutwrentching conclusion to the Blood of a Fae series.

Over the first three books I fell in love with this world and these characters. I loved the aspect of found family in these books. I also have SO much love for the main animals in this book, two battle cats, Nightclaw and Sunstrike. If I’m being honest, I want my own battle cat.
This last book, Briar made it EPIC. There were scenes where I had to pace while I read it, scenes where I was sitting on the edge of my seat, scenes I was scared to keep reading because I could see what was coming, scenes that made me swoon, scenes that made me laugh, and as always scenes that made me cry. There was even a scene when I felt physically ill while reading it. As always with Briar, even when she makes you hurt, someone it hurts so good. My heart was broken a few times in this book but by the end I was smiling happy tears. Oh, and I cannot forget the spice, the spice scenes were freaking fantastic, the throne scene in this book was hotter than the one in Iron Flame. I won’t spoil it but another spice scene, it was a giant F you to one of the villains, and I LOVED it, I CLAPPED.
Draven will forever be one of my most favorite book boyfriends, he is perfection.
If you haven’t read this series yet, DO IT, you will not regret it. This will be a series I reread, I love it so freaking much. This book was the perfect ending to an amazing series. Bravo Briar.

The fourth and final book of the amazing Blood of a Fae series.
This was a wonderfully written Arthurian / old gods slanted adventure. Having been captivated through books 1-3, I eagerly dived into this one. Once again, without giving details away, Boleyn does not shy away from hurting key characters. It adds a grittiness and depth to the writing style allowing you to hurt alongside the Draven and Morgan. Also in this style of writing, the author does not end the story by typing all the ends up in a 'sweet' package. The characters still have hurts and sad memories and know that it will take effort to have happiness again - just like life!

I can’t believe the series is over😭

There were so many plot twists I didn’t see coming and completely blew my mind. While I did sob, I’m still really happy with how Morgan and Draven’s story ended.

I would absolutely love to come back to this world and see the characters again, even if it was just a brief cameo. Here’s to hoping that happens!🤞

If you’re a romantasy lover, you need to add this entire series to your tbr!

Thank you to NetGalley and the author for sending me a copy to review!

Knight of the Goddess by Briar Boleyn 🌹
Overall Rating: 3/5 ⭐

I was honestly a bit underwhelmed by this book. I enjoyed this series a lot for the first three books, but I think this one fell a bit flat for me. There was so much happening and it felt like maybe some of it should have been spread out into the earlier books.

I got stuck part way through the book and just felt a bit less invested than I had for the other novels in the series. I had to take a few breaks but eventually read it all. That being said, I enjoyed the ending and felt it redeemed the book somewhat for me.

Overall, I think this series is a worthwhile read! Lots of great characters, and an interesting story.

Great book! My favourite of the whole series so far! The pacing of the book was perfect, I found I couldn’t put the book down! I do wish we could have had more time building up to the deaths of each character and a little bit of time to digest what happened before moving on with the story but that’s just me!

What an incredible ending to a fantastic dark fae fantasy series. Briar Boleyn created such a magical world, still expanding the reader’s understanding of it in this final book of the series. Knight of the Goddess might just be my favorite of the series yet with the trials and revelations made by the FMC and the twists and turns i did NOT see coming. I appreciate Briar’s writing style in this book just as the others and think she truly nailed the plot and ending (no spoilers but the way your heart will feel at the end of this book, worth it!). Thank you to Net Galley for the ARC and I can’t wait to see what is next for Briar Boleyn.

Such a wonderful way to close out the Blood of a Fae series! The series as a whole was surely entertaining and amongst one of my favorites!
In this final installment, we have most of the original characters plus a few new ones from Morgan's past life (her original family! Gasp!) There are also more truths and revelations, more battles, both internal and external, and more overall action. I loved the character development- almost every character has grown by the end of this story, especially Medra lol.
A great read, one that I'd highly recommend!

Thank you NetGalley and Briar Boleyn for such a wonderful read!

Knight Of The Goddess is the epic conclusion to the Blood of A Fae series. This book had everything from magic 🪄, action, adventure, spice (3/5🌶️), romance, and a shocking plot twist near the end of the book. In this final installment we learn more about Morgan Le Fay and the background of her past.

I loved following Morgan Le Fay’s (Pendragon) journey from the first three books. The way she came a long way from a princess in a Queen of Roses 🥀 and grew into her own as an Empress (or Queen) in Knight Of A Goddess🗡️👑 I also love seeing how Morgan and Draven’s relationship grew throughout the series. From enemies-to-lovers, they learned and how far their love and trust really goes.

I highly highly recommend this series if you love any SJM books, From Blood and Ash, and Powerless. It was so entertaining to read. Also, all characters and plot are inspired by Arthurian legend (not a retelling).
