All four books in the Blood of a Fae series (Queen of Roses, Court of Claws, Empress of Fae, Knight of the Goddess) are currently on NetGalley for a limited time to celebrate the release of the fourth and final installment. This series has many trigger warnings.
The fourth and final book in the bestselling Blood of a Fae series…
“I see forever with you by my side. Because long after these scars have faded away to nothing, I'll still be standing beside you. You and I? We're eternal.”
Beware the dread curse of Three…
In the aftermath of the war between Pendrath and its neighbors, peace has finally come to Camelot. But for Morgan Le Fay and her friends, the calm is short-lived. A storm grows on the horizon. As a terrible evil that has been waiting hundreds of years begins to sweep through the land, Morgan and Draven must race to the aid of their allies, leaving their youngest and most vulnerable new family member in the care of trusted friends.
The sword, the spear, the grail’s mystery…
As the tide of war takes them across kingdoms and into greater peril, Morgan and Draven embark on a quest to destroy the three objects of untold power–the grail, the sword, and the spear. Together, the pair will find answers to questions lost in the mists of time. Answers to questions so terrible, they never even thought to ask.
Blood calls to blood, the dark shall rise,
Forged by the gods under sacred skies.
For the love between these bonded mates is not just an everlasting one forged in blood.
You might even call it divine.

Diving into "Knight of the Goddess," the fourth and final installment of the "Blood of Fae" series, was both exhilarating and bittersweet. Briar Boleyn once again proves her mastery of the dark fantasy genre, delivering a gripping conclusion that left me breathless.
From the outset, Boleyn's storytelling prowess shines through, weaving together intricate plotlines and unforgettable characters. The throne scene, spicy and jaw-droppingly hot, had me hanging on every word, while the humorous edging and flirting moments provided a welcome dose of levity amidst the tension.
One standout moment is Draven's tender interaction with the baby, Medra, which tugged at my heartstrings. Boleyn's ability to balance passion and emotion is exemplified in lines like Draven telling Morgan, "I'll still be standing beside you. You and I? We're eternal," which left me swooning and emotionally invested in Morgan and Draven's journey.
Yet, Boleyn doesn't shy away from heart-wrenching twists, such as the gut-wrenching halfway point that left me sobbing for the injustice. The revelation of Morgan meeting her father is another bombshell moment that kept me eagerly turning pages.
The nightcrawl scene is an adrenaline-fueled rollercoaster, showcasing Boleyn's fearless storytelling. However, it's the quieter moments, like when a certain lady realises she is loved, that truly broke my heart and solidified my connection to the characters.
I appreciate Boleyn's decision not to tie everything up neatly with a surprise baby, opting instead for a more nuanced and emotionally resonant conclusion. Throughout the series, I've come to stan Morgan and Draven, rooting for their triumphs and mourning their losses.
Overall, "Knight of the Goddess" is a captivating conclusion to an unforgettable series. Boleyn's dark, spicy, and delightfully inspiring narrative kept me glued to the pages, laughing, crying, and raging in equal measure. If you're a fan of King Arthur retellings, fae lore, and epic battles, this series is an absolute must-read.
Thank you, Briar Boleyn, for the opportunity to experience the magic of "Knight of the Goddess." I'm forever a fan, eagerly anticipating your next literary adventure. Don't miss out on this unforgettable journey through the realms of fae and fantasy.

Thank you to Netgalley, the author and the publisher for the advance copy to read.
The final instalment in this wonderful fantasy series was everything I needed and more.
I've really loved following Morgan and Draven as they've grown along this series. Looking back to book one Morgans character development arc has been phenomenal. She has come a long way from the first time we met her character.
The bond between Morgan and Draven is just chefs kiss! The perfect amount of romance, steaminess and trusting in each other. They are possibly one of my favourite book couples to date.
This book really takes everything from you and leaves you bereft with your jaw on the floor. So many answers and so much resolution.
The series is great for any SJM fans. I would go as far to say as it's on par with ACOTAR.
Wow. That's the gist of this review--just wow. This was an incredible end to this series, and I can't think of a way it could have ended better.
I laughed. I cried. I cried some more. I wished Draven was my husband. And then cried again.
Morgan's growth throughout this series was incredible--even more so because she didn't lose who she was. Love and friendship conquer all, and were her strength from the beginning through to the end. It's so rare to see a female character not become "hard" or totally change who she is because of the situations she found herself in--and Morgan changed, but she stayed true to herself. Just stronger.
You will be heartbroken reading this. This is definitely not one of those fantasy books where plot armor exists. But every loss had a purpose and was so well written.
OBVIOUSLY I loved this book. I loved this series. I will probably read everything Briar writes until the end of time.
If you love King Arthur retellings. If you love the Fae. If you love love, and friendship, and magical creatures--please pick up this series and read it through to the end. Each book is better than the one before it, and it's been a LONG time since I've seen a series end so perfectly.
