The last book was still a great book, but the first 70% dragged for me (and, it was the shortest). The book wraps up the story well and there were a few surprises (although some suspected) at the end. Morgan and Draven are off to stop the high fae leader and leave behind and take some friends. They also want to destroy the grail and Excalibur - and find the spear.

It feels bittersweet writing a review for Knight of the Goddess, the fourth and final book in the Blood of a Fae series by Briar Boleyn. I have been an ARC reader since Book 1, Queen of Roses, and I am still honored to have been included in this voyage 🖤
To say I was hooked since the first sentence of the prologue of Book 1 is probably an understatement. I loved this series since the first book, loved following Morgan and Draven on their quests, and loved having the opportunity to see their story end. I am sad, but I am also happy because they did get the ending they deserved 🖤

I won't spoil previous books for you, but in case you're not familiar with the story, the Blood of a Fae series is an excellent Arthurian retelling. Having said that, it is not necessary to know and love the Arthurian tales, but if you do, I can tell you this retelling will be one of your favorite ones. It is a dark fae fantasy romance retelling of Morgan le Fey and Camelot with shadow wielders, magical flying creatures, a wild band of diverse found family, court intrigue, prophecies, and exciting new worlds... Can you ask for more?

Knight of the Goddess, being the fourth and final book, certainly didn't disappoint. It has kept me glued to pages, wanting to know what happens next. Like in all the previous books, my emotions were all over the place - I was sad, devastated, happy, excited, and scared for some of my loving characters, I was crying tears of sadness and happiness, you get the picture.

Knight of the Goddess brings the conclusion to Morgan and Draven's story and their quest to destroy the artifacts and destroy Gorlois le Fay, Morgan's father. It truly is an epic quest, full of adventure, angst, loss, and undying desire to make their world a better place. We are gifted with different POVs, like Morgan's, Draven's, and some other I won't spoil now :) Their found family is there every step of the way, and I loved how close their bond was, and how some relationships were mended in the end.

It wouldn't be the Blood of a Fae series without the eternal love Morgan and Draven share, without their loyal and beautiful Nightclaw and Sunstrike, without the sour yet loyal Ursidaur, without all their friends and family, both Fae and human.

And, don't let me get started on all those revelations, some I really never saw coming, all those identities unlocked and revealed. You will love it and be shocked by it!

🖤 What will you find in the Knight of the Goddess? You will find

🥀 A stabby, abused heroine finally coming into her full powers,
🥀 A shadow-wielding "touch her and die" mate,
🥀 Diverse found family with talking bears,
🥀 Magical bonded flying creatures,
🥀 A quest that will take them down the darkest road of them all...

Blood of a Fae series deserves all the stars, and all the hype it can get, and I strongly recommend you give this series a try 🖤

I picked this up and refused to put it down until I was done! All the feels I felt them, I cried again. I came into this one prepared to be shattered but also put back together. It did just that!

Morgan and Draven are navigating through the world that is falling to pieces around them. Them and their friends are out to end the threat against the world, Morgan’s father.

It was such a breath of fresh air seeing another side of Draven, as a father figure. Yet again this man captures my fancy. He has some of the best quotes.

Bearkin- again gives me so much to laugh about. Mothcakes will now live in my head rent free. But I also truly appreciate how Bearkins character is written. Fierce Loyal and unwavering.

Lancelet and Guinevere- so much character growth in this last book. I felt like my own relationship with these characters also grew. I have so many questions for Guinevere still though.

Medra- there’s a lot to unpack here. Her story you could feel her trauma! She was written so beautifully. Like Guinevere I have so many questions.

Nightclaw and Sunstrike, how could I not adore them. They bring even more to the story like Bearkin. I get all the warm a fuzzy feelings from them like I would my own beloved pets. Nightclaw has my heart.

The spice was definitely there and in some unexpected places. I enjoyed it again.

This book was much darker than the others. I was so mind blown by end I didn’t see that coming. I am sad it’s over, but this will be a series I read again and again

Knight of the Goddess was amazing! This book gave me everything I needed when it came to its characters and the ending. This is the way to end a series. There were so many characters in this series that I love, and dislike and I was more than ready to see how everything played out for everyone, especially Draven, Morgan, Lancelet and Kaye. This book was non-stop action and the power plays within this story lasted until the very end. There have been many battles throughout this series, but this final battle within this family was as overdue and in the end the enemies within the story got exactly what they deserved. There were a lot of amazing characters that we lost but the enemies were everywhere. There were so many twists and turns, past and present unfinished business that needed to be dealt with and this book concluded everything perfectly for me. This paranormal series truly did not disappoint. It is a series full of non-stop action, mystery, suspense, war, death, betrayal, enemies, allies, traitors, sacrifices, friendship, romance, love, hate, family, friends, steamy scenes, laugh out loud moments and so much more. There was never a dull moment and after reading all 4 books I still wanted more of these characters. I wanted more of their peaceful HEA and love since these characters fought so hard for it. I do wish the epilogue gave us a little more of Draven and Morgan, but I still enjoyed the ending. This is a series I can definitely read again and will be recommending to every book loving friend I know. This series left me looking forward to reading more books from this author and I'm excited to find my next fantastic read.

Knight of the Goddess was an incredible finale to a great and compelling series by Briar Boleyn. This series was my first Camelot reimagining/retelling, and I’ve really enjoyed it!

This series has really gripped me from the very beginning. I’ve been eagerly awaiting the finale and was not left disappointed! It felt like everything was wrapped up wonderfully. I wasn’t left with any major questions. I felt the world building was excellently done throughout the entire series. Some characters had it a little rougher than others at the end for sure though. Draven and Morgan had a really great dynamic throughout this book as well. Their relationship felt healthy and organic and their chemistry remained unscathed by all they go through. I’ll be sad to say goodbye to them but things were left on a hopeful note for the group and that’s all I can ask for.

Overall, I highly recommend the Blood of a Fae series! I’ve really enjoyed my time with it and can’t wait to see where Briar takes us next! The teaser for On Wings of Blood has me intrigued, and I’m excited to start off on a new adventure guided by Briar Boleyn soon.

Thank you so much to Briar Boleyn, Starwater Press, and NetGalley for the ARC of Knight of the Goddess. All opinions are, of course, my own.

An EPIC conclusion to an epic series!!
I don’t even know where to start with this book as I am still reeling from this book. Boleyn certainly did a doozy of ripping out my heart and ever so slowly piecing it back together.

The fourth and final book is a culmination of a beautifully written story. Morgan, Draven and their friends embark on their quest to destroy the three artifacts and her father. This quest is filled with perilous adventure that brings so much loss and heartbreak. But it also brings with it new found love and strengthened friendships. Together, they are hell bent on making their world a better safer place.

Morgan and Draven’s bond just continues to strengthen in this book. Their love and devotion is truly swoon worthy. Morgan is the epitome of a strong resilient FMC and Draven is the delicious shadow daddy that we all wish we had in our life.

The entire story came together beautifully! The writing and the character growth was truly breathtaking. This book was full of adventure, angst and heartbreaking loss. And, oh, the twists and revelations in this left me trying to pick my jaw up off the floor. I had a few suspicions, but I most assuredly did not expect the identities and secrets that were revealed. This book had me so enthralled and wanting more!

Blood of a Fae is a quite amazing dark Arthurian/Camelot retelling that is deliciously twisted. Who would have thought to make Arthur a villain…brilliant! I loved the gender swaps of some characters as well. Most importantly, is the story of Morgan le Fey. Of how she came to be, her journey to find her purpose and her undying love for her mate and found family.

I highly recommend this series if you like fantasy romance, Arthurian legend, enemies to lovers, found family, touch her and ☠️ with a steamy shadow daddy!

As this is a dark and twisted fantasy romance, please check trigger warnings prior to reading this series!

Thank you to Briar Boleyn, NetGalley and Starwater Press for giving me the opportunity to read this ARC!

I want to thank the author and netgalley for this ARC. I honestly devoured this book. The story is fascinating. The world building was captivating and the characters were well developed. The magic in this story lets us dream of a different world and escape reality a little.

The amount of times I was pushed to the verge of tears while reading this book. Once right before I had to log in for a Teams call at work. (But even that won’t stop me from reading on my lunch breaks.)

Briar Boleyn is an always-read author for me. She writes so beautifully - the way she uses language in general, the descriptions, the world building, the character development, the twists. The heartbreak.

Blood of a Fae is one of my favorite series, and I know without a shadow of a doubt that I’ll be rereading the entire thing. I have the ARCs, I have the ebooks, and I long for the day I can own the physical copies. I will never stop recommending these books.

Knight of the Goddess is the brutal and beautiful end of this story. There are new discoveries, there is spice, there is heartbreak, there is loss, but there is still a HEA. I’ve just finished reading it and I feel somewhat lost and so sad. Honestly. I need some quiet time by myself, to sit alone until I’m ready to face the world again.

For me, the beauty of these characters lies in their pain, their love for one another, their healing, their carrying on.

Briar is a master storyteller, and I’m honored to have been allowed to participate in this journey in some small way.

Hey everyone, I just wrapped up the entire series, and let me tell you, it's been quite the journey. Overall, I have to say it's a good series, one that kept me glued to the pages for days on end. However, as much as I enjoyed it, there were some aspects that left me feeling a bit disappointed by the end.

Firstly, let's talk about Morgan. In the first two books, she was portrayed as a strong character, albeit with a touch of naivety. She knew what she wanted and was determined to save herself. However, as the series progressed, I couldn't shake the feeling that she lost some of that strength. Suddenly, she seemed more naive and forgiving, which didn't quite align with the Morgan I knew from earlier on. There was so much potential for her character growth, and I wished she had maintained that power throughout.

Now, onto the smutty parts. Let's be real, some of them felt a tad cringy. But hey, it's all part of the story, right?

Lastly, a word of caution: Please, please read the trigger warnings before diving into this series. There are some heavy themes and content that might not sit well with everyone.

Despite my reservations, I have to admit it's still a good story with a kind of satisfying ending. So if you're up for a rollercoaster of emotions, give it a go, but just be prepared for a few bumps along the way.

Diving into "Knight of the Goddess," the fourth and final installment of the "Blood of Fae" series, was both exhilarating and bittersweet. Briar Boleyn once again proves her mastery of the dark fantasy genre, delivering a gripping conclusion that left me breathless.

From the outset, Boleyn's storytelling prowess shines through, weaving together intricate plotlines and unforgettable characters. The throne scene, spicy and jaw-droppingly hot, had me hanging on every word, while the humorous edging and flirting moments provided a welcome dose of levity amidst the tension.

One standout moment is Draven's tender interaction with the baby, Medra, which tugged at my heartstrings. Boleyn's ability to balance passion and emotion is exemplified in lines like Draven telling Morgan, "I'll still be standing beside you. You and I? We're eternal," which left me swooning and emotionally invested in Morgan and Draven's journey.

Yet, Boleyn doesn't shy away from heart-wrenching twists, such as the gut-wrenching halfway point that left me sobbing for the injustice. The revelation of Morgan meeting her father is another bombshell moment that kept me eagerly turning pages.

The nightcrawl scene is an adrenaline-fueled rollercoaster, showcasing Boleyn's fearless storytelling. However, it's the quieter moments, like when a certain lady realises she is loved, that truly broke my heart and solidified my connection to the characters.

I appreciate Boleyn's decision not to tie everything up neatly with a surprise baby, opting instead for a more nuanced and emotionally resonant conclusion. Throughout the series, I've come to stan Morgan and Draven, rooting for their triumphs and mourning their losses.

Overall, "Knight of the Goddess" is a captivating conclusion to an unforgettable series. Boleyn's dark, spicy, and delightfully inspiring narrative kept me glued to the pages, laughing, crying, and raging in equal measure. If you're a fan of King Arthur retellings, fae lore, and epic battles, this series is an absolute must-read.

Thank you, Briar Boleyn, for the opportunity to experience the magic of "Knight of the Goddess." I'm forever a fan, eagerly anticipating your next literary adventure. Don't miss out on this unforgettable journey through the realms of fae and fantasy.

Thank you NetGalley, Briar and co for this ARC. This review has also been submitted to Amazon

Thank you to Netgalley, the author and the publisher for the advance copy to read.

The final instalment in this wonderful fantasy series was everything I needed and more.

I've really loved following Morgan and Draven as they've grown along this series. Looking back to book one Morgans character development arc has been phenomenal. She has come a long way from the first time we met her character.

The bond between Morgan and Draven is just chefs kiss! The perfect amount of romance, steaminess and trusting in each other. They are possibly one of my favourite book couples to date.

This book really takes everything from you and leaves you bereft with your jaw on the floor. So many answers and so much resolution.

The series is great for any SJM fans. I would go as far to say as it's on par with ACOTAR.

I am speechless right now. This was just fantastic. I ended up really loving Morgan in the last one so I’m glad she kept that up in this one even without her weird jealousy issues towards a damn baby

Knight of the Goddess is the latest in the Blood of a Fae series by Briar Boleyn. In the Knight of the Goddess you finally find out Morgan and Draven’s full past, some was expected and some was a bit of a surprise. Will Morgan and Draven succeed in vanquishing the evil? Read Knight of the Goddess to find out.
This book is very fast paced with a lot of action, romance and tragedy. This book didn’t grab me quite the same as the three books before it, but I still loved reading it and can’t wait to read more by this very imaginative author. The series Blood of a Fae has made Briar Boleyn one of my go to authors for fantasy romance novels. Blood of a Fae is the best fantasy romance series that I have ever read!

This was a wonderful end to a great series. Nightpaw just sounds so adorable and fun.

I felt that book two dragged a little bit. I wish there was more of Draven’s POV esp with the trials they went through in book 2. It would have been nice to see how he felt about what was happening esp with his sister.

The book brought me so much joy and happiness. I believe Briar did a fantastic job in this conclusion. Morgan was amazing and so strong. Lancelot was the new Lancelot who got over their trauma as best they could and learned to live her life with happiness.

I feel like my soul has been ripped apart and put back together again… the joy I felt while reading this book, combined with the anticipation and the love and the heartbreak was absolutely amazing. Briar Boleyn has managed to tie everything together so beautifully and shock me at multiple turns.

I loved these characters so much and am sad that their story is finished now… hoping for some added bonus chapters if Briar Boleyn is feeling generous 🥹🥹

This is definitely up there as one of my favourite series, it just kept getting better and better each book!! I would recommend this book to anyone interested in fantasy, fates mates, King Arthurian lore and some steamy romance with a badass heroine and devoted protective hero

Thank you to NetGalley, Starwater Press and Briar Boleyn for providing me with an eARC in return for an honest review.

“Death. Death was where I belonged.
In the end, I let love consume me.”

"I'll make you a true believer, Morgan," … "But it's my name you'll be calling, not any goddess's."

Such a wonderful ending for a story, I think, will always have a piece of my heart. In this last instalment of the Blood of Fae series, Morgan and Draven will have to face the greatest enemy of all, fighting the big fight and finding out secrets about their past, none of them is truly understanding the meaning of !! The plot twists I read in this book left me absolutely speechless. I was not expecting them at all and I was pleasantly surprised !!!
Once again the magic overwhelmed me.
Once again I felt like I was part of a bigger story even when I was not sure where the author was going. But the characters were as great as I remembered them to be, if not more. Lancelet, Guinevere, Gawain, the exmoors, the wonderful knights accompanying Morgan is this complicated journey through seeking the truth. And Draven … that man has the power to melt me in puddle. And I wouldn’t have it any other way!!! He is perfect. I found myself falling even deeper in love with him, despite me being totally already hooked from book one!!!
The romance between Morgan and Draven is stronger than ever and the spicy scenes are great!! But I have to admit that this time around my excitement was almost a a great as the pain I felt! Saying goodbye to these characters is hard, I have to admit that. But I’m so glad I had to opportunity to read this book. And I will always cherish it in my heart !!!

"You were fucking made for me, my silver. So why not let them see you take me like you were meant to? After all, we were made for this. Let them stare, let them watch, let them envy."

"I see forever with you by my side. Because long after these scars have faded away to nothing, I'll still be standing beside you. You and I? We're eternal."

"There is darkness in all of our souls. But there is also light. Just because the darkness threatens doesn't mean the light won't win out in the end."

The story of Morgan Le Fay and Draven reaches a breathtaking climax. Their world, which had just achieved peace, is once again threatened by a looming darkness. This leads the duo to embark on a daring quest to destroy three mythical objects. The journey tests their courage and unyielding bond, and their love is portrayed as an eternal force against the tides of evil. The story expertly weaves a tapestry of adventure, mystique, and heart, with every character adding depth to this rich Arthurian tapestry. This final installment left me in awe, as it skillfully blended high stakes with deep emotional resonance, making it a poignant and unforgettable close to a truly magnificent series.

Can’t believe the series is done. Glad to see everything worked out at the end. I was very intrigued by Medra’s character and I wish we could have gotten more but I guess it was meant to be that way. Glad to see Lancelet finally got together with Guinevere, that was long time coming. As for Draven and Morgan, their relationship arc really got better, at how they were together through it all. I admit I got very confused at the end with them being reborn? I just felt like there were a lot of holes. It was hard to get through and understand. Once Medra appears,I had more hints but it still felt like it was missing big parts. Overall, I’m just glad we get that happy ending.

Knight of the Goddess, the final book in the Blood of a Fae series, is published today and I am so sad that this series is over. If you've been following me for a little while you'll know how quickly I fell in love with this series and these characters. I actually dropped everything to read this one and it did not disappoint in the slightest, reading it in less than 24 hours.

I will try not to post any spoilers but with it being the final book in the series it may be a bit hard, especially when this book made me feel so much! If you're interested in this series then swipe to the second picture to know a bit more about the series!

This book broke me in many places and poor Briar got an influx of messages from me as I found myself in tears and completely shocked by certain outcomes. Briar has created these amazing characters who you just want to protect and you honestly cannot help but love them. Morgan is such a fierce character who would do anything for the ones she loves. Her relationship with Draven is the absolute best and I just love their banter and how much they care for one another. Their chemistry is off the charts and that throne scene had me blushing! The side characters in this book are just as amazing and I honestly loved them all.

While I'm so gutted this series is over I loved every minute of this journey that Briar has taken us on. I have laughed and I have cried reading this series and I cannot wait to read what Briar writes next.

Thank you so much to NetGalley and Briar Boleyn for providing me with a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
