Firstly, thank you to NetGalley for this ARC copy in exchange for my review.
2.5 stars but rounded up for the consistent tone and writing quality.
I really wanted to like this since it was the fourth book in the series but I really think it would have benefitted a lot more by being a trilogy. I sort of lost interest in the plot which is a lot of politics in the first third of the book and I found it boring. The part with the exmoors would have been good if it had come in the third book maybe, or just a lot sooner. I feel like this whole plot was sort of shoehorned in at the end and became a bit messy and rushed. I also still don’t like Draven, he’s just got no redeeming qualities and he’s kind of dull, sorry!
No spoilers but there have been way too many deaths in the whole series to make any of them sad anymore too.
I almost DNFed many times but pushed on because I did like the first three books, but unfortunately this one just wasn’t for me. I just wish it was condensed into a trilogy and had less plotlines going on.
HOWEVER. The voice is consistent and well written throughout, and if you like lots of intense spice and a serious amount of twists and story/character plots then you’ll probably like this a lot!
An exhilarating conclusion to this unique Arthurian (but make it Fae) retelling. While loss was bound to happen in the final installment of the FMC's story, the characters lost were like tears in my heart. The last leg of adventure was so enthralling that there were many points that it was easy to lose track of time spent in the pages of the story. The action, the heartbreak, and the growth was phenomenal..... and the spice too! The character development and growth was incredible. So sad to see the story for the majority of these characters end, but so looking forward to Medra's own story! Easily one of the best fantasy novels I've read and has shot to my all time favorites list!
Thank you to Net Galley and Starwater Press for the opportunity to read an E-ARC of Knight of the Goddess by Briar Boleyn in exchange for my honest review.
The heartache this book dealt me, blow after blow! I was not prepared!
So beautifully written as always throughout the series. The friendship developments and character growth was elite.
The romance in this series, fated mates & bonds with mystical creatures was so Incredible, it had me hooked like and sinker.
The gender neutral Bearkin (mystical warrior bear who talks & is a chef) was one of my favourite characters, they were such a fun, creative and modern addition to the storyline.
The huge twists this book delivered I did not see coming -
I do love a good ending where everything comes full circle and all makes sense.
This was the perfect way to end this series <3
This final installment is an enthralling and captivating tale that seamlessly weaves together elements of fantasy, romance, and adventure. Truly there is nothing more I could ask from a series like this.
The characters are well-developed and the world-building is rich and immersive. The protagonist's journey is both inspiring and thrilling, and the intricate plot kept me eagerly turning the pages. Additionally, the author's writing style is engaging, and their ability to create an enchanting atmosphere is truly remarkable. There is something about this book that reminds me of ACOTAR, and it truly might just be the vibes.
This book is a must-read for anyone who enjoys a well-crafted fantasy story with a touch of romance. Overall, I highly recommend Knight of the Goddess for its intricate storytelling and compelling characters.
This final book was a nice ending to the series. The world building continued to be great. There was a ton of sacrifice in this book and a bittersweet ending. So many truths were revealed and it was overall a satisfying finale.
I never thought romantasy would be a genre I would enjoy so much, but I tried this series by Briar Boleyn and I loved it even more than ACOTAR! The FMC development is remarkable and a “shining” example of what a strong and feminine female can be. This series is currently my favorite recommendation to share with friends and acquaintances! It does have a couple of spicy scenes in each book, but I would say they are easily skippable if that isn’t your vibe. The books are smart and sassy, and skipping the spicy parts doesn’t detract from the story in any way.
Wow! This series just kept getting better! Highly recommend this series for fans of Fourth Wing and ACOTAR
Knight of the Goddess provides a satisfying conclusion to a great series from Briar Boleyn. In the final book of the series Morgan embraces her destiny and confronts her past to safeguard her future. This series was so good I didn't want it to be over! I genuinely cried during the last chapter it felt so bittersweet to be ending such an engaging series 😭
As always, be sure to check the trigger warnings before reading because it gets dark 🥀⚔️

Thank you to Briar Boleyn, Starwater Press, and Netgalley for providing me with an eARC of this book in exchange for an honest review 🤗
Briar Boleyn's Knight of the Goddess is a stunning conclusion to the series, delivering an emotional and action-packed finale that will leave readers breathless. From the very first page, Boleyn weaves a story filled with intense emotions, high stakes, and unforgettable moments.
The story centers on Morgan, a resilient and fierce heroine, and Draven, her enigmatic and powerful counterpart. Their journey reaches its peak in this final installment, with character development that culminates in a way that feels both satisfying and profound. The intricate plot twists and turns, keeping readers on the edge of their seats as they navigate through the intricacies of the story.
The world-building, always a strong point of the series, shines brilliantly in Knight of the Goddess. The vivid descriptions and the rich lore immerse readers in a magical and perilous realm. The settings, from grand palaces to hidden sanctuaries, are brought to life with stunning detail.
The emotional depth of this book is truly remarkable. The relationships between characters are explored with sensitivity and complexity, and the romantic elements between Morgan and Draven add a layer of warmth and connection. The climax of the story is so powerful that I had to read the ending four times over, each time discovering new layers of meaning and feeling my heart race with the unfolding drama.
The action scenes are masterfully written, blending excitement and tension with a sense of urgency that keeps the pace brisk. The final battles and confrontations are particularly well-executed, providing a fitting and exhilarating conclusion to the series.
While Knight of the Goddess excels in many areas, it’s the emotional resonance that stands out the most. Boleyn’s ability to create moments of profound impact, where the stakes feel incredibly real and personal, is a testament to her storytelling prowess.
In summary, Knight of the Goddess is a magnificent finale that does justice to the series. It’s a book that will stay with you long after you’ve turned the last page, and it’s a testament to the power of epic storytelling. I loved this book so much that I couldn't help but revisit the ending multiple times, each time finding it more compelling and heart-wrenching. I rate this book 5 stars for its brilliant storytelling and 3 chili peppers for Morgan and Draven, oh I love them!

This book is a must-read for fans of the series and anyone who appreciates a deeply emotional and action-packed fantasy.
Three stars because I'm glad this series has ended. If you look at my reviews for the last two books you'll know my feelings on this one. The ending seemed like it was fast forwarded and I was happy for it. Not a fan of this book or the two preceding ones. Loved the first book though and I still stand by my review of it. I wish Briar Boleyn all the best going forward!
This final book in the series delivers a stunning conclusion , a page turning thriller
from start to finish .The worldbuilding and character development is superb
With moments of heartbreak , betrayal , anticipation and finally love forged in blood .
Morgan and Draven must destroy the objects of power .......... the journey will take
them across the lands to aid allies and defeat an enemy that has been hundreds of years
in the making .
This is a beautifully written book , drawing on the characters to drive the story forward
to an outstanding conclusion with great success - a great read
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own
Big thanks to Starwater Press, Briar Boleyn and NetGalley for a copy of this book in exchange for my honest opinions!
THIS IS THE LAST BOOK !
As I’ve previously said it, I really enjoyed Briar Boleyn’s world building, and it went beyond the world of Camelot as I initially thought. A lot of plot twists (many, a little too many at the end ?) and I did feel as if some of them were rushed. Some plot twists were a little predictable, some of them not at all !
I’m usually critical of authors not ever killing off side characters, and it tends to annoy me, well brace yourself, this is not the case here.
I felt that after all this effort, Medra being the one to sacrifice herself was not it. I mean, it fits the storyline, and it would have been « weird » (don’t hate me please) to have a one-year-old being an adult amongst them. I felt that it was a little « easy » way out for her to be the one to make the ultimate sacrifice and to have Draven and Morgan live on. I would have liked Medra to be more fleshed out too, her POVs were too short, and we weren’t able to connect on an emotional level as much, especially due to all the anger issues.
I previously commented on enjoying Morgan’s growth, but I did feel like she regressed in this last book, when she was so caught up in her own grief that she was unable to see how much pain others were in.
I really enjoyed the series, but this last book sometimes felt too long and sometimes too short. I had a bit of a hard time finishing it compared to the previous books. Nonetheless, I would totally recommend this book, it’s different from the previous fantasy I’ve read, and I really enjoyed the retelling of Camelot even if we strayed from it quite a bit.
I would have loved to know more about the Fae and the Siabra, maybe for another book !
This is a fun “popcorn” read series. I’m interested in continuing on and seeing what else the author writes.
What can I say?
I had hoarded and kept the final book, as I just didn't want to leave the world behind.
With a final book in a series I had steeled myself for some heartbreak, but wow! It was a wild ride, fun, fast and bittersweet.
Morgans growth throughout the series was lovely to watch and it was nice to see a FMC who is initially sheltered grown into a woman who isn't expecting to be rescued and can stand toe to toe with the MMC.
The changing chapters really added depth to the story, enriching it with Medra and Dravens pov.
It was a book of intense battles, love and heartbreak.
I'm gutted I'm leaving Eskira behind, and I'm hoping the characters appear in some future books.
Absolute must read for any Romantasy readers, who doesn't love a complete Camelot retelling with Fae thrown in?
Overall the series is absolutely 5 stars
Queen of Roses ⭐⭐⭐⭐ stars
Court of Claws ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ stars (my favourite of the series)
Empress of Fae ⭐⭐⭐⭐ stars
Knight if the Goddess ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐stars
Thank you Netgalley and Briar for the ARC❤️❤️
I just finished Knight of the Goddess, the final book in the Blood of a Fae series, and it was an amazing ending! The tension, the quests, and the character growth were all spot on.
Morgan, her mate, and their friends are on a mission to find important artifacts to stop a huge disaster. The journey is full of surprises and shocking truths about their pasts. Each twist kept me glued to the pages.
The characters have grown so much. Morgan especially found new strengths and really came into her own. The bond between her and Draven, along with their friends, added so much depth to the story.
The world-building is incredible, bringing even more detail and richness than before. The mix of action, emotion, and lore is perfect, making the story both exciting and touching.
While it’s sad to say goodbye to these characters and their world, this book left me completely satisfied. The themes of eternal love, found family, and true friendship were beautifully done.
Thank you, NetGalley and Briar Boleyn, for this fantastic series. It’s been a wonderful journey from start to finish.
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Now this is a conclusion to an epic story! I must admit, there were many things in this book I did not see coming. And, to fit along with the other 3 books in the series, many deaths.
This series is a GREAT introduction for anyone wanting to get into fantasy!
🚨Spoilers throughout!🚨
The story begins in Camelot with Draven and Morgan caring for Orcades’ daughter, Medra, who is just an infant at the time. She develops at an unusual rate, which is our first clue from the start that she is not merely fae. Despite their wishes, Morgan and Draven must leave Medra in order to save Eskira from Gorlois le Fay (as we later learn, Perun).
The adventure the pair goes on brings a sweet reminder to the first book, and really ties everything together in my opinion. They travel with their close friends to the Black Mountain, and attacks and battles happen along the way, with Gawain being killed by one of Morgan’s sisters.
During this time, Medra is growing and getting into “trouble”, pushing everyone away but Odessa. When Perun sends one of his daughters to take Medra away, Odessa is slain, along with others in the castle.
Can we take a second to just grieve for Crescent, who lost both his sister and his husband? My heart 💔
When Morgan and Draven finally reach the mountain, they sneak off and leave the rest of the group, traveling for days in the mountain with no direction, other than the gauntlet. The gauntlet is destroyed by flame, and NIGHTCLAW DIES. I saw it coming and I still was not ready for it. Once again, my heart 💔
I must admit, the entire procession of events with Perun and Vela was very exciting, and there were many things I did not guess throughout the series. Gorlois le Fay is Perun, god of war. Morgan is Marzanna, goddess of death. Draven is Khor (what he does slips from me). I assumed they were gods with how much it is hinted in this book, but I wasn’t sure if they were the gods mentioned throughout the series or not. Also, can we just… Draven is the most powerful fae ever besides her father? Woooosh 🤭
BUT. The one element I truly never saw was that Medra is the spear. I never guessed it, and it was shocking to see. It was heartbreaking that a young woman had to sacrifice herself to keep the world from the wrath of a vengeful god.
And then the Nightclaw and Sunstrike cub at the end? Thanks for a little bit of hope, Ms. Boleyn.
This book really tied just about everything together. I am still saddened by the fact that the Siabra are unable to have children - I would’ve liked to see more mention of that in this story.
May we all take a moment for the many, many loved characters that our beloved author, Briar Boleyn, ruthlessly killed off throughout this series. RIP.
Thank you to NetGalley for providing me with all 4 ARCs for this incredible series!
Knight of the Goddess is the final book in the Blood of a Fae series. It picks up after the ending of Empress of Fae, back in Pendrath, where Morgan is learning new things about her family and where she comes from. I think Knight of the Goddess was my least favourite of the series, unfortunately, A lot of the major plot twists were not very well explained or foreshadowed, leading to the feeling that it wasn't the same story I had started off reading. Medra's plotline sort of felt like Renesmee from Twilight in a bad way. However, I do think Briar Boleyn's storytelling ability manages to hold together a lot of elements I was less than thrilled with and make it into a coherent whole. I think if a reader enjoyed the series all along there is still a lot going for this book, lots of steamy scenes and found family. Worth checking out!
Want to know how much I’ve enjoyed this series? I read the books again twice. It’s not often I have a series that is dang near perfection page after page. I’m so happy to have experienced this entire world and watch everything unfold book after book.
This is 5 stars because I have personally recommended this series every time someone wants fantasy romance recommendations.
You won’t regret picking up this series! It’ll have you hooked from the first chapter. If you love fantasy and being immersed in a world then this is for you!
Right to the very end I was waiting on Nightclaw to appear, battered and worn but alive. It wasn’t meant to be though. I was so enthralled in this series that I had to take breaks from the intensity. I love the character development and suspense throughout. Each storyline was wrapped up nicely which gave us readers closure.
