Thank you so much to NetGalley and Victory Editing for access to this book in exchange for my honest review! Knight of the Goddess is the fourth and final book in the Blood of a Fae series and cannot be read as a standalone. Honestly, I really enjoyed the first 2 books of this series but the final 2 fell a little flat for me. Since I'm not reviewing the series as a whole, I'll try to stick with this individual book.
This book is all about Morgan and her battle with her father. He wants her back, she doesn't want to go, and he does everything to try to take her until Morgan brings the fight to him. But the book seemed more focused on their traveling than the actual interesting stuff. The battles, except for the first one, are rushed through. When characters were lost, they jumped right on to the next thing, so I had no time to feel any emotion about their death. And the backstory about why this was all happening was thrown in there in the last 10% of the book (even though apparently Morgan knew all of it and was keeping it a secret?). I was so confused I barely had time to process it, and then the book was over. One thing I did enjoy was the strength of Morgan and Draven's relationship. It has really progressed throughout the course of the series and, in this book, you can see how strong they are together. Morgan is secure in who she is and in how Draven will be there for her. The multiple POV is also an aspect of the book I appreciate, especially getting to see things from the eyes of a new character, even though the ending wasn't what I had hoped for them. Overall, I enjoyed this series but my excitement fell with these last two books.
This was a series that I enjoyed reading but I did find that I was not as immersed in the final book. I found that parts of the final book felt a bit rushed personally and some of the plot around Vela and Khor could have been developed a bit better or earlier. Overall though I did enjoy the characters throughout this series. This series had heartbreaks and love which I thought really came through in the book and writing. I look forward to reading more in the future.
Knight of the Goddess was the weakest book in this series. It took me a while to finish and I powered through instead of DNF, I was so bored. I felt like parts of the book lagged and were so slow and then the action was so rushed and didn’t work well for the series. The entire plot line with Medra was bizarre. Medra’s sacrifice and the end of the book were a rush. I just felt like I was reading something my 5 year old and 9 year old were trying to explain.
Thanks Netgalley for this book!
Knight of the Goddess is the last book in the Blood of a Fae series, and it definitely didn’t disappoint! This book followed Morgan and Draven hunting down her father, and saving the world (lol).
There were three different perspectives given throughout this book, which I enjoyed for the most part.
Medra and everything about her did creep me out, and I found that I didn’t enjoy her storyline as much as the rest of the series. I’m glad the book ended the way it did (not sorry).
Briar does love killing off good characters, and a lot of them at that, so my poor heart had a bit of a hard time especially towards the end. I don’t think I’ll ever get over Nightclaw, even tho the end of it was cute.
There also seemed like a decent amount of unfinished business, but I’m hanging out for On Wings of Blood to come out, as it is based in the same world and I’m hoping it may answer some questions!
I am SO glad I came across this series on Net Gallery. Thank you so much to them for allowing me to read them.
This series will fuel your romantasy fire!!! A
retelling of sorts of Arthur (bad Arthur) and Camelot.
My emotions were all over the place. Joy, sorrow, anger, relief... at times my stomach was in my throat. At times I wanted to kick and scream and at times I felt the same brief peace the characters were feeling.
This series is full of great world and character building. I loved seeing the characters grow throughout each book.
The sacrifice and depth of love not just between Draven and Morgan but for their circle and community is beautiful. Well thought out storyline and individuals. I would definitely recommend reading the Blood of Fae series!!
The fourth and final book in the series wrapped all of the storylines up nicely together. There were so many twists and turns that I was not expecting. Divine intervention mixes with fated mates. I love that Draven and Morgan cross continents and seas together to destroy the sword, spear, and chalice. While I overlooked some things with the writing, the world building was 10/10.
"Every twisted part of me is yours. And every twisted part of you is mine. The good and the bad. All of it.
Forever. You're f-ing mine, Draven Venator.”
Tropes:
Fated Mates
Multi POV
Found Families
Journey
Ending of a War
Thank you Netgalley and Briar Boleyn for giving me this opportunity to read this book in exchange for my honest review.

Knight of the Goddess was the perfect end to a brilliant series.
The love and romance that is between the two main characters is great throughout, the support they give each other while remaining flawed is so relatable.
Some of the lovemaking scenes were just a bit unnecessary - however the one towards the end - you will know when you come across it...perfect, amazing and fantastic. Dark, arousing but also edgy and romantic at the same time.
Story building from book 1 reaches a climax in this book (you see what I did here) - the ending brings all the main story lines to a fair and just ending.
I cried, I laughed and I cringed.
I would recommend this series to anyone who likes Romantasy, Arthurian Legend, Magic and some smutty smut!
This is a dark romance, fantasy, retelling of King Arthur--just with fairies. Morgan is a likable FMC who you find yourself wanting the nest for. The world building and character development are amazing. This was th final story in the series but I felt like they explained the plot well enough that I wasn't lost or confused while reading. Ive never read from a babies POV but that was interesting and executed nicely. The romance is top tier but smut is mild.
So this concludes another series and what an ending!
It's really hard to be objective when it comes to books from series that I enjoyed, especially when it is the last book. While the book before felt like a good ending for that part of the story, this volume was so much better and the author managed to capture so many emotions and so many small details that made everything feel so real.
I don't even know where to start from, I liked so many things in this book, especially Medra, not because she is very likeable, but because she managed to understand how loved she actually was and I'm not even going to talk about what she had to do.
The book is filled with twists and many are really heartbreaking, but no matter how much this book made me cry, I loved it. Go read the series, it is worth it.
An incredible final instalment in the awesome fantasy series! Loved how this finished off the series and gave such satisfying closures. This series will do well in most fantasy romance readers circles
Thank you to netgalley and Briar Boleyn for letting me read the arc for free.
So... this was a quite a wild ride... I can't say I've read many Arthurian retellings. But from the ones I've read, this series is the best.
Knight of the goddess is the final installment in Blood of a Fae series. I didn't wanna say goodbye to this series. But alas.
Morgan now has to rule Pendrath until Kaye awakens, but she also must bring an end to the 150-year-long conflict. With the help of their friends, Draven and Morgan will face off against the High King of Valtain in this final battle.
The series couldn’t have ended more perfectly. There were so many unexpected twists that I could never have imagined. The tears I shed at the end. Why!!! Why does this always happen to good people!!!
My favourite part of the book, the end.
"I just want you. Tell me I can have that, Morgan.”
"You can have that,” I whispered. “For eternity.”
I was honestly shocked when there was a POV for Medra. How can a weeks-old baby have a point of view?
Oh my goodness...I do not want to say goodbye to this. What an ending.
Through-out this entire series Briar Boleyn has really outdone. The romance, the broodiness, the character growth, the world building, just amazing! I really enjoyed the pace of this final part of the series, wasn't to fast and didn't leave me feeling like it was taking forever to get through it at any point.
The Blood of a Fae has been absolutely a roller costar ride of emotions, I have laughed, cried, and felt the joy that these characters have felt. I am so grateful for being able to ARC a series that has quickly become a favorite read. The adventure has been one that I will re-read time and time again.
Book 4 brings us on another epic journey after Morgan, Draven and a group of their friends take off to destroy the grail, sword and spear AND Morgan's father, Gorlois.
The final book in the Blood of a Fae series left me wishing I had read everything a little slower or taken notes. The world building and characters are so in depth I found myself having to check back because I was going WAIT WAIT WAIT a lot with all the connections and tying together! This is for sure a series that deserves a re-read so you can make all the connections all the way back to book 1!
I only wish that we could see a little more of Morgan and Draven HAPPY without something monstrous looming on the horizon. I suppose that's part of what makes this a dark romance.
Big thanks to NetGalley for access to this book in exchange for an honest review.
Knight of the Goddess is the fourth and final book in the Blood of a Fae series. We follow Morgan as she and her closest companions embark on a quest to destroy powerful artifacts and put an end to the kind of the fae once and for all.
I was very happy to see Morgan and her friends relationships being repaires and growing stronger. She and her mate not only have become closer as a couple but stronger as a team and more powerful than ever. This is probably the most emotional book in the series in my opinion.
We get an additional point of view in this story that we have bot had before and it helps to tie the while series together. I think the author did a great job using pieces of all the previous books to end this story in epic form.
While this last book wasn't my favorite in the series, I really did enjoy this book and I would definitely recommend this series to other fantasy readers. I would also be open to reading more from this talented author.
Thank you to NetGalley and Starwater Press for the advanced reader's copy of this book!
The fourth and final book in the Blood of a Fae series, Knight of the Goddess, was a satisfying end to Morgan and Draven's story. The plot moved at a decent enough pace to keep me reading and the multiple POVs always a plus for me.
Overall I did enjoy the series, but the last two books were my least favorites. The final third of the book seemed rushed. I did appreciate all the subtle foreshadowing leading up to some of the "twists", but the final battle and new storyline fumbled at the finish line for me. I felt like there were lots of other avenues that could have been taken that would have made the ending more satisfying.
I'm glad I read the series, and I have recommended it to a few fellow book readers, but wished I would have enjoyed the ending more.
3.5 stars!
I really enjoyed this conclusion to the series and I devoured it so quickly! I loved the plot and twists in this one, and did not see the ending coming at all. I loved how powerful Morgan and Draven are - separately and together - and how connected they are in this book after being separated previously. I would loooove to get more POV from Lancelet and Guinevere and would for sure read a Novella about these two!
I did feel like this book could have been more 'epic' if we had been able to be more immersed in the battles and conflict, as these did seem to start and finish quite quickly (especially the final showdown at the end). I would have liked Medra to be more fleshed out too, so that we could really connect with and feel invested in her. This would have made the ending all the more powerful.
I really recommend this series if you enjoy enemies to lovers, powerful Fae, Arthurian lore, dark magic, gods/goddesses, spicy romance, found family and mythological creatures. I've loved my opportunity to read this series in exchange for an honest review - thank you to NetGalley and Victory Editing for providing me with the digital ARCs!

Stop it, I cannot believe I finished this series. 😭 Truly, an absolutely breathtaking fantasy series. The journey Briar takes you on through out each book. I loved her unique take on the Arthurian Legend. I absolutely adored all of our characters - they had their flaws but, they were real and true to themselves.
This was the perfect ending, once again so many plot twists I did not see coming. We lose some beloved characters on this quest and you'll feel every bit of that loss as much as our other characters do.
Morgan and Draven have my entire heart and soul. They are the definition of soul mates. I loved their journey, the ups and downs, their banter and fighting. How they both fought for each other but, also stepped aside because they knew the other was capable. They were equals and I loved that.
If you want a fantasy series with epic quests, insane world building, magic, fae, deadly trials, characters that you will love and a series that will make you cry, laugh, blush, and feel anger - I cannot recommend this enough.
I'm excited to see where Briar takes this world in her next series that is a new series set in this same world with some of our characters making appearances cause I'm not truly ready to let go of them yet. 😫🖤

Oh my! What a ride this final book was!
I have to say, the world building was amazing, there are so much more than I would’ve expected! There are so many plot twists that I didn’t see coming and so many truths are revealed.
This conclusion was kinda bittersweet because there are so many deaths and so much sacrifice involved! One particularly broke me down, I truly wasn’t ready for it.
But there are so many beautiful things found along the way! Eternal love, found family and true friendship. Morgan also found herself along the way and grew so much and the other characters too!
I’m sad to leave this universe but I’m happy to have read such a great saga.
Thank you NetGalley , Starwater Press and Briar Boleyn for this series!
This is the last book in a series I have truly enjoyed every moment of, so doing a review of it is a bittersweet moment for me. Throughout this book, I found myself turning pages eagerly anticipating what would happen next. Despite this, it was also a tough one for me to get through, mainly because it was the end. It was intensely heartbreaking and suspenseful throughout this book. It was an unexpected ending, I wasn't prepared for it. I definitely recommend the series to anyone! A big thank you to NetGalley, Starwater Press, and Briar Boleyn for providing an eARC of this book in exchange for my honest review.
Thank you to Netgalley and Briar Boleyn for allowing me to read and review the final book of this series.
In this final installment, Morgan, Draven, and the "crew" as I like to call them must leave the adorable baby Medra behind to find Morgan's father and defeat him once and for all. Unfortunately for Morgan and Draven, Medra's power is so great that her growth has accelerated and must learn of the prophecy much too soon.
He is a powerful force. Inching his way into her dreams, sending her siblings after them in gruesome fights, and attempting to accrue all three objects of untold power. The Spear, the Sword, and the Grail. Morgan knows she must destroy all three, but to do so, she needs the help of her Aunt's.
Three POVs this time. Morgan, Medra, and Draven.
What a bittersweet ending. I don't think it could have gone any other way.
