This is a fun gift for anyone who loves flowers and/or floral arranging. Fun ideas, some of which you can grow in your own garden.
This was a sweet book that made me smile! This is pictures of flowers with the anonymous notes people sent with them. There is also a chapter detailing what different flowers mean. The arrangements are gorgeous and the notes are entertaining to read. I would recommend this! Special Thank You to Kelsie Hayes, Chronicle Books and NetGalley for allowing me to read a complimentary copy in exchange for an honest review.
The pictures in this book were so pretty! I loved seeing all of the authentic notes that went with them (some of them I was shocked at the flowers that came with the notes or visa verse but it was super fun)
"Notes from real people and the bouquets they inspired"....says it all. This book was adorable...I loved reading these notes and seeing these beautiful arrangements. What a cute idea. This is a book I'd buy. It was almost like seeing the notes was a little bit like prying, but also you felt such sweetness that they shared these with you, as the reader. My favorite was the note from a Mom to her child...sounded like something my mom would send me or I would send to my child one day. The back of the book showed what flowers were best for what occasion...that was really fun too.
Why do people send flowers, and what secret meanings do they hold? This entertaining and addictive little photo-rich volume holds the answers.
Thank you Chronicle Books & Netgalley for making this book available as a Read Now book! I enjoyed this book. I thought it was interesting reading the notes people wrote and looking at the pictures of the flowers and I also liked that at the end of the book, it tells you what kind of flowers to send someone depending on what occasion it is.
Haven't you always wondered what that person is writing on the card for the flowers they're sending? Now you can! I love getting a look into REAL flowers that were sent and their messages to match! So fun!
This is a collection of floral bouquets and the notes they were sent with. The photography and design of the bouquets is really elegant and contemporary. I wish that the design of the book better matched the elevated style of the floral design. The book design, especially the layout of the notes, seemed to try to make the book more broadly accessible. I would have been more excited to see the book lean into the more edgy and adventurous design aesthetic of the flowers themselves, maybe using a variety of elegant stationary, handwriting/calligraphy for the notes. The digital notes had more of a Canva aesthetic, It was an odd juxtaposition for me: floral design seemed bespoke and high-end but book design seemed more like it was aimed at a 1-800-flowers audience. Clearly a decision was made about who the design should cater to and I don’t think I’m it. But nevertheless I enjoyed the florals and the photography, as well as a look behind the scenes into the notes. A section at the end gives recommendations for how to pick flowers based on the purpose of the bouquet, and this was useful information as well.
2.5/5
This is a gorgeous collection of bouquets that will make readers want to call a florist! There are also the note cards that accompanied the flowers, letting readers see many heartfelt messages.
The concept of this title is simple but it really works!
Many thanks to NetGalley and Chronicle Books for this title. All opinions are my own.

Say It with Flowers is a quirky book with beautiful bouquets of flowers sent for any occasion. As someone who struggles with finding the best message to convey my feelings on a tiny florist notecard, I found myself composing my future messages to loved ones. This book would be a great gift for a friend or fun book to have on hand when you want to look at beautiful flowers. The author included some handy suggestions for the best flowers to send in different situations in the last section of the book.
What a fun book! The author shares lovely photos of floral bouquets and the notes that accompanied them. The notes are funny, sexy, heartfelt, and sincere. I felt a little guilty pleasure at reading all these private messages, almost like Post Secret but much more light-hearted and fun. Plus - flowers! At the end of the book the author also includes recommendations for flowers for different types of occasions - thank yous, apologies, celebrations, and (of course) Valentines Day. I read this in digital format and wish I had a physical copy in front of me. It's sure to be a lovely coffee table book. Would make a great gift.

This was a perfect short read that was refreshing. It was fascinating to look at the different notes and the flowers that the florist matched with it. Each arrangement was unique and fun and it shows the care that Kelsie has for her clients and business. I absolutely loved the glossary in the back which went through different occasions and the different corresponding flowers.
Thank you NetGalley and Chronicle Books for sending me this ebook for review consideration.
This book houses some of the most incredible bouquets I've ever seen. Aside from the gorgeous photographs, I am such a huge fan of the little notes sprinkled throughout the book. It would make an excellent coffee table book. But most importantly, I believe it will inspire you to try your hand at making some breathtaking bouquets.
Bouquets and notes. This is the sweetest idea. 5/5 for the idea.
The organisation, photos and the overall book are lovely too. 4/5
Say It with Flowers is full of stunningly unique bouquets and a variety of their accompanying notes. Some are sweet, some are heartwarming, some are romantic, and some are funny. I was smiling ear to ear while reading each one, and this is such a beautiful book.

Say It with Flowers by Kelsie Hayes is an enchanting book perfect for any coffee table. The floral arrangements are breathtaking, beautifully captured in stunning photographs. The concept of pairing notes with flowers is delightful and adds a unique touch. Additionally, the informative section at the end, detailing flowers associated with various months and occasions, is incredibly helpful.

This book is absolutely stunning. The photographs really do the bouquets justice. As an avid gardener and flower grower, I love looking at photos of flowers. However, the best thing about this book are the bouquets. Putting flowers together to create a beautiful bouquet is not my strong suit so I love all the inspiration and ideas this book has given me. I love the flower guide at the end, and find that very helpful. My only complaint is that, as a gardener, I would have loved a list of all of the flowers in each picture. This book is not only inspirational, it would also make a great display book or gift for a friend.
Pros: I am fascinated by the language of flowers. I was so interested to learn that the florist chose the flowers in all of these bouquets based on the words of the accompanying notes. I loved that so much can be said in simple notes--some had me cracking up (flowers for a new nose), others were empowering, and others were heartbreaking. I think my favorite bouquet was the one that features many types of sunflowers. The photography of the bouquets is gorgeous. I also loved seeing the vases used in the arrangements and want more information on sourcing them! I think this book would make a lovely gift . . . especially if given with flowers! I also appreciated that the book offers suggestions of flowers to give for different occasions because sometimes it is hard to find the words, so the flowers can speak for themselves.
Cons: None that I can think of!
Thank you to NetGalley and Chronicle Books for the opportunity to read this book.
An absolute stunner, with gorgeous photos of flowers and notes that have been sent with them throughout the years. My fav: "The sex was so good the neighbors lit a cigarette after."
This is an interesting compilation of floral arrangements and notes to go with these for all occasions. I particularly enjoyed the section towards the end of the book that details what the flowers mean and what to send for each sentiment.
