Terrific cookbook! I liked how it was broken down into sections and the diversity of the types of recipes. Not your standard everyday recipes. Very much recommend.

This is close to a perfect cookbook. It has a great balance of twists and traditional that I'm looking for in a cookbook. The recipes are unique, including a focus on Jamaican-American food, but also totally accessible. The author's passion and personality really shine through and it feels like a personal conversation. Love it!

Always looking for something new to try with the family.
Some of these recipes are really new to me.
We also love having get togethers when the weather is nice. Looking forward to try some of these dips for get togethers. Charizo and cheese dip, quest dip.

Food Family Repeat is a collection of 100 recipes to prepare with love and share with your loved ones. The cookbook begins with essential tools and ingredients to have, tips for meal prepping and entertaining, and menus. Next are the recipes for Anytime Apps, Welcome to Jam Rock, Soul-Filled Holiday Season, Southern Comfort, Vegan Comfort, Family Dinner Time, Dinner for Two, Not Your Same Old Sides, DIY, and In the Mood for Something Sweet.
Every recipe includes an introduction to the dish, an ingredient list, numbered directions, and prep and cook times. Most of the recipes include a photo, which I appreciate, and the recipes seem easy enough to follow. As a vegetarian, I also love that there is a section for vegan dishes. Some of the recipes I would love to try are the Spinach and Artichoke Dip Wontons, Five Cheese Mac & Cheese My Way, Vegan Jerk Jackfruit Tacos, Penne Alla Vodka, and Easy-to-Make Lave Cake. I do not have any complaints as Food Family Repeat is a great cookbook and you can definitely find something you like.

Keyshawn Hudson, known as Keysh, is a popular social media chef. His cookbook, Food Family Repeat: Recipes for Making Every Day a Celebration: A Cookbook, is awesome. The recipes included are definitely “soul food” and have heavy Jamaican nuances. Although cooking videos are nice to watch, it’s much better when the recipes are in a cookbook where cooks can not only peruse the recipes, but follow them at their own pace. This cookbook is well organized, and very well written.

Chef Keysh has inserted his delightful personality into this book, and makes it fun to read as well as cook from (He’s cute too!). His background is different from many of us, so it is interesting to see the differences that make the recipes unique and worth making and serving. The recipes are written in the traditional manner with the ingredients listed first followed by step-by-step instructions that are easy to follow. Both beginning and advanced cooks will find they can successfully make mouthwatering dishes from this excellent book every time.

The cookbook includes beautiful, professional photographs of most of the dishes, which makes it difficult to decide what to make next. There are dozens of recipes that will end up on your “must make now” list. I found that I even searched out goat to make the famous Jamaican Goat Curry that fascinates me.

All told, this is an excellent cookbook with unique recipes that is fun to read. It makes a good addition to any cookbook collection.

Special thanks to NetGalley for supplying a review copy of this book.
