Return to Mistletoe by Kathleen Fuller

Can you imagine living in Mistletoe, Missouri? How fun would that be? Well, Emmy Banks absolutely loves living in Mistletoe and never plans to leave. She loves everything about Mistletoe including her antique shop.

Emmy hasn't seen Kieran O'Neill in many years. He's been away renovating an old Irish castle. How romantic does that sound now? Just sigh worthy! But, he's back in the town of Mistletoe for his mother's surprise seventieth birthday party. And he's her best friend's brother.

Some in Mistletoe believe Emmy and Kieran belong together. Read to find out if they're right!

The Mistletoe Prince by Pepper Basham

Prince Arran St. Clare of Skymar has not been behaving as a prince should. His heart was broken and he's been a bit of a disgrace to his title. His parents have decided to send him to Ransom, North Carolina where his sister, and her husband live to work as a commoner for three months. He must also participate in the Christmas charity fundraiser, The Mistletoe Wish. His arrival in Ransom doesn't get him off to a very good start as far as good impressions or getting his life on the right track. But, he does have time to get it together. As luck (or fate) would have it, one of his first impressions is with his brother-in-law's cousin, Charlotte, aka Charlie. He will be working with her, physically as well as with The Mistletoe Wish. Can the Prince change Charlie's first impression of him? He's got his work cut out for him.

Say No To Mistletoe by Sheila Roberts

Hailey Fairchild is convinced that mistletoe is her kryptonite. Every single time she has been kissed underneath it, it has lead to disaster. She is determined there will be no kiss under any mistletoe this season. And, to top it all off, she is an author, of romance of all things!

It all began in high school when her oh, so hot neighbor, Carwyn, kissed her on a dare under the mistletoe. Her breath smelled like garlic and she was so mortified! She had been crushing on him for so long, and now this! She quickly ran away from him!

Now, after a failed romance, that began with a mistletoe kiss, she is going home for the holidays without a 'plus one.' How humiliating! And, if that wasn't enough, she comes home to discover her brother is now dating someone who had bullied her in high school. He is totally smitten with this woman. And, Hailey's mother's hair is bright red! What other surprises are there?

Three totally wonderful adorable Christmas stories that made me want to put up my Christmas tree in the first week of November!

I was given an advanced ecopy by the publisher, Thomas Nelson, through Netgalley. I was under no obligation to write a positive review.

This collection of Christmas novellas was a sweet treat during the busy holiday season. The stories captured the Christmas spirit perfectly and were short enough that I was able to actually finish them despite the holiday craziness. I don't normally read novellas, but these convinced me to try them again and gave me some new authors to explore.

First up, Return to Mistletoe by Kathleen Fuller—OMG, my heart! 😍 Emmy and Kieran’s second chance romance totally had me feeling ALL the emotions. 💖 Mistletoe, Missouri, is SO cute, and Kieran’s swoony Irish accent? Swoon🍀 While I would’ve loved a lil' more character depth with Kieran, the chemistry between these two was absolute perfection! 💋 Plus, the holiday magic was SO real, I was wrapped up in it like a holiday gift! 🎁

Then we’ve got The Mistletoe Prince by Pepper Basham, and let me tell you, I couldn’t put it down! 😍✨ Prince Arran, sent to a small town to prove himself? YES, PLEASE! 👑 The way he grew and found out that love isn’t just about crowns—it’s about the heart—had me feeling all the feels! 💓 And the romance with Charlie? ADORABLE!! I was all heart-eyes for these two. 😘

Lastly, Say No to Mistletoe by Sheila Roberts—this one had me laughing so much I had to put my book down! 😂 Hailey, a romance writer who swears off mistletoe after a cringe-worthy teen disaster with her neighbor, Carwyn? Holiday rom-com gold right here! 🎬 Their awkward charm was SO FUN to read, and their second-chance romance was full of heart! 💕 Plus, Hailey’s self-doubt added that extra depth that made it more than just a typical holiday read. ✨

Overall, this collection is the perfect way to kick off the holiday season! 🎄🎉 It’s light, fun, and packed with all the festive vibes you could ever want. BUT, Pepper’s story was definitely my fave! If you’re in the mood for quick, sweet holiday reads, this is YOUR vibe. 📚🎁

Mistletoe Season: Three Christmas Stories contains three different stories by different authors. I have read books by Pepper Basham but have not read anything by Shelia Roberts or Kathleen Fuller. This book was a fun an easy read.

Return to Mistletoe by Kathleen Fuller:
I enjoyed the story. It had a great hallmark Christmas feel to it. The character development was not that deep, as to be expected in a novella. The storyline was cute-second chance love story.

The Mistletoe Prince by Pepper Basham:
This was my favorite out of all three stories. It is a spin-off of the Skymar series. So, if you have not read it, you would probably not appreciate this story as much. Pepper Basham does a great job sucking you into her stories. Obviously, being a novella, she did not have the space to weave the stories she typically does, but I loved getting to continue the story and see what Luke was up to.

Say No to Mistletoe by Sheila Roberts:
I had the hardest time getting into this story. I reread a few different sections. I am not sure; it was just a really hard one to get into.

All three was a kisses only story. Which I always apricate. I am all for low spice.

The Christian element was light.

*I received a complimentary copy from the author and voluntarily chose to review it. All opinions are my own.

A nice compilation of Christmas stories! The little novella about the Christmas prince was the best of the 3 for sure

Mistletoe Season is a collection of 3 Christmas novellas , Return to Mistletoe by Kathleen Fuller (which was my favorite), Say No to Mistletoe by Sheila Roberts, and A Mistletoe Prince by Pepper Basham. I usually love these novella Christmas books but this one for me was just okay. I did love Return to Mistletoe but couldn’t get into A Mistletoe Prince, could be because I have never read any of her other Edgewood books. Say No to Mistletoe was cute. Thank you to Harper Collins Christian publishing, the authors and NetGalley for the ARC book. This is my honest opinion

A trio of holiday stories sure to delight and invite the seasonal cheer. From second chances under the mistletoe to delightful family celebrations, there's something for everyone. These short stories will certainly provide some holiday cheer to start the season.

Although I received a free ARC ebook, all thoughts and opinions are my own.

I loved these stories! Each story was so unique! From a refurbished Scottish Castle to a Skymar prince to a High School Principal! These authors nailed it! I enjoyed each storyline and found a couple new authors!

All thoughts and opinions are my own!

3 cozy holiday themed novellas to get you into the Christmas spirit!

With 3 separate authors writing each story you get a completely different taste which as a reader can be really refreshing! These were all new authors to me and I’d definitely be interested in reading some of their individual works.

I personally struggle with novellas a bit because I feel like by the time I’m invested in the story it’s over. The way it builds a bit too quickly. But had these been individual stories where the conflict can be drawn out a bit more before it’s resolved would lead to some perfect Hallmark movie style stories!

Thank you so much to NetGalley and Harper Collins Christian Publishing for my copy of Mistletoe Season by Sheila Roberts, Kathleen Fuller, Pepper Basham
Narrated by Tanya Eby in exchange for an honest review. It published October 8, 2024.
This was a fun, light-hearted complication of Christmas stories. My favorite was be Shelia Roberts. I really enjoy her writing style, and I found her story to be sweet and relatable.
I enjoyed the other two stories, however, I felt like the second was a little longer than I would’ve liked for a short story.
Overall, this is a great compilation to add to your holiday reading schedule!

Mistletoe Season by Sheila Roberts; Kathleen Fuller; Pepper Basham 🎄
Overall Rating: 3/5 ⭐

This book is a series of three shorter Christmas romance stories that are very reminiscent of hallmark movies. Very sweet, short and predictable.

Overall, I thought this was a cute combination of stories and I enjoyed each of them in their own ways. There are lots of great classic tropes throughout each of them, but also some cringey moments.

I think this is a great novel if you are looking for a set of sweet, non-spicy Christmas stories!

I love Christmas anthologies! You can read (or listen) to a story in a few hours and get all the feel-good warm fuzzies that a longer book can give. I was also excited to see that Tanya Eby narrates the three stories in Mistletoe Season. I've heard her before, most notably in Robyn Carr's books, so I knew I would enjoy listening. Throw in three can't miss authors, and this book wins all around.

Kathleen Fuller kicks things off with Return to Mistletoe. Emmy Banks has a pretty good life in Mistletoe, Missouri. It's fortunate she lives in a town where Christmas is HUGE because it's her favorite of all the holidays. She runs the local antique shop and is raising her daughter alone. Kieran O'Neill has spent so many years living abroad that he's gained an Irish lilt to his voice, so when he first walks into Emmy's shop, she doesn't recognize her first crush. Kieran is home to celebrate his mother's 70th birthday and he expects it to be a short stay. Spending time with Emmy, Kieran starts to see a future with her by his side, but can he really live in the town where grief for the loss of his father hits him at every turn?

Pepper Basham is up next with The Mistletoe Prince. This story ties into her Skymar series, with Luke Edgewood of Loyally, Luke making frequent appearances. Prince Arran St. Clare went "off the rails" when the woman he loved chose someone else. As "punishment" he is sent to live three months in Ransom, North Carolina, where no one cares about his royal status. To prove he's ready for royal reinstatement, he must participate in planning the Mistletoe Wish charity fundraiser. Add in a beautiful, intelligent, adventurous woman who doesn't see her own worth, and sprinkle everything with Christmas magic, and both Arran and Charlie (Charlotte) come away changed.

Sheila Roberts winds things up with Say No to Mistletoe. Mistletoe has been Hailey Fairchild's downfall ever since Carwyn Davies kissed her on a dare. She was a gawky, awe-struck freshman to his "too cool for school" senior athlete status so learning he'd done it because someone dared him to humiliated her. Ever since, kisses under the mistletoe have led to her romances imploding. She left town for college and never went back, except for short visits. Now that mistletoe has once again struck her love life resulting in a broken engagement, she's going home for the holidays. She's determined to avoid the ever present mistletoe - especially since Carwyn also seems to be ever present. Can Carwyn help her see that their long-ago mistletoe kiss wasn't the colossal mistake she always thought it was?

Each of these authors knows how to tug the heart strings and sprinkle in enough giggles to keep things light. I loved this whole book, and would highly recommend it to anyone looking to get into the Christmas spirit.

Mistletoe Season: Three Christmas Stories by Sheila Roberts, Kathleen Fuller and Pepper Basham is a novella which shares a common theme of mistletoe. It gives Hallmark Christmas movie vibes but in book form. These were sweet romance stories that were great for reading the first weekend in November to set the mood for the coming holiday season. I must say that as a Pepper Basham fan and lover of all things Edgewood family related, I thoroughly enjoyed spending time with the family again. Thank you NetGalley and Thomas Nelson for letting me preview this book. I received a copy of this book from the publisher. I was not required to leave a positive review & all opinions are my own.

This book had a collection of super cute Christmas stories that put you right in the mood for eggnog and gingerbread cookies. The three stories were enjoyable, but I liked Kieran and Emmy’s story best. Something about their romance was just so cute!!

I wanted to read this book for a continuation of Pepper Basham’s Skymar series because I have loved each of those books. That did end up being my favorite in this short story collection, but all three were delightful and perfect for getting in the holiday spirit. Each one is short enough to read in one sitting so it’s an easy book to dip in and out of when you want a little Christmas cheer.

What a fun grouping of Christmas stories. I love that they are all faith filled, clean, and closed door.

I must admit that Pepper Basham's prince story was my favorite. I loved watching the changes that happened with the characters as the story progressed.

What a fun, compilation of short Christmas romance stories to start the season.
