Description
Like walking onto the set of your favorite Hallmark Christmas movie, Mistletoe Season invites readers to fall in love alongside three couples, featuring old flames, opposites attract, and even a royal romance.
Say No to Mistletoe by Sheila Roberts
Mistletoe is Hailey Fairchild's kryptonite. Every time she's kissed someone under the mistletoe it's led to love disaster. Not a good thing for a romance writer! When she was a gawky high school girl, her hunky neighbor, Carwyn Davies, star of the basketball team (and her dreams), kissed her under the mistletoe on a dare. But the kiss wasn't a dream come true. It was a mortifying moment she's never forgotten, and now she's about to go home for the holidays, unengaged and . . . determined to say no to mistletoe. Especially if Carwyn is anywhere around.
Return to Mistletoe by Kathleen Fuller
Emmy Banks has always loved Christmas. How could she not when she lives in Mistletoe, Missouri? Kieran O'Neill has spent years abroad, renovating an old Irish castle, but returns to Mistletoe for his mother's seventieth birthday. He reconnects with Emmy, his sister's close friend, and spends time with her in her charming antique shop. When the weather turns colder, things start to warm up between Emmy and Kieran. But can Emmy risk her heart when she knows he'll never stay in Mistletoe and she'll never leave?
The Mistletoe Prince by Pepper Basham
Prince Arran St. Clare has lost his freedom and fairytale life in exchange for a three-month "punishment" in the small town of Ransom, North Carolina. To prove he is ready for the royal life for which he was born, Arran must engage in the Christmas charity fundraiser, The Mistletoe Wish. But when kindness, authenticity, and hard work prove more appreciated in Appalachia than a royal pedigree, Arran must face the mirror and find out who he is beyond the crown. Add a beautiful and intelligent woman who doesn't recognize her own worth, some mistletoe, and a little Christmas magic, and it all might be enough to help the rebel-prince understand what truly matters most.
Featuring three separate stories, Mistletoe Season is the perfect escape from a bustling Christmas season. Pull up a cozy blanket, fix yourself a warm drink, and set yourself up by the fire to enjoy three delightful, low-spice romances.

Mistletoe Season is a must for all! I am a huge fan of these three authors, so getting the chance to read this book of novellas was amazing. So grab this book and snuggle up because you won't be setting this down until it's done.
Thank you NetGalley for an ARC of Mistletoe Season by Sheila Roberts, Kathleen Fuller and Pepper Basham
This delightful book has three heartwarming stories that take place at Christmas time. Each is a separate, standalone story, written by one of these three authors, who are among my favorites.
These heartfelt, holiday stories have loveable, relatable characters, who either meet their Prince Charming (literally) or a former high school crush comes back into their lives unexpectedly. Although actual mistletoe plays an important role in each of these charming, heartwarming, holiday stories, each of the young women learn that some of the scariest things in life can bring the biggest blessing.
I received a complimentary copy of this book. All opinions and comments in this review are my own.
This book was really good. I love reading Christmas books all year because they are always so positive. I love how this one had three different but good endings to it. I'm grateful that netgalley and the publishers let me read this in exchange for a good review
I loved these three Christmas stories . a quick read as the stories were not long. I really enjoyed the book.
I've only read one of these authors before but I have enjoyed Pepper Basham's Skymar series so I decided to give this collection a shot. I was glad I did. Each story differs from the others but the mistletoe ties them all in.
Return to Mistletoe by Kathleen Fuller
I enjoyed the story overall but it was marred by the repeated use of the word 'lass'. I get why it was in the story but for whatever reason, its use grates upon me as much as the using babe as a pet name. I don't like either of them so 'lass' kept irritating me. Probably not going to bug most people though and I was glad they got their HEA. 4*
Mistletoe Prince by Pepper Basham
I have been enjoying the Skymar series so I was happy to get to spend a little time with their prince. I liked him and how supportive he was with Charlie. Their meet cute wasn't very cute. In fact it was messy and kinda gross but them looking beyond that to see the best in each other was made all the sweeter by it. Had some Christian themes. 5*
Say No to Mistletoe by Sheila Roberts
While I'm often not a big fan of first person stories, the opening chapter of this one was delightful and wouldn't have been so much without being told in first person. And I was sold. I enjoyed the story and was so relieved when the mean girl was outed. Whew! This could almost be an insta-love story except that she had a crush on him for many years. So it was kinda a second chance trope except they had never been together. They just shared one mistletoe kiss in high school. And it didn't go well. I was happy for them to get their HEA too. 5*
Overall, I enjoyed this collection of stories. It was a fun read.
No sex, language or violence
*I received a complimentary copy of this book through NetGalley. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.
I requested this book based on the cover, not realizing that it is 3 shorter stories, and I was pleasantly surprised! It may be hot here and almost summer, but these stories got me right into the Christmas spirit. So fun!
An absolutely delightful book featuring three novellas that worthy enough of their own full novel. These stories will grab your heart and imagination putting you into a festive mood for the holiday season.
While each story is unique, you cannot help but find yourself fully immersed in each one and how they seamlessly flow into the next story. You find yourself feeling all the emotions of the characters and even laughing at some of their antics.
I finished this book with a happy heart and smile on my face! I highly recommend reading this book especially during the holidays.
I was given a complimentary copy of this book from the publisher through NetGalley. All opinions expressed are completely my own.
What a fun collection of Mistletoe stories! I really enjoyed all 3 stories in this collection! I love how each author tells a different story all related to the Christmas season and mistletoe.
Return to Mistletoe by Kathleen Turner - I enjoyed this story so much. I really like the fact that the author featured main characters who are in their 40’s. Emmy is an independent business owner who feels like her chance at true love has passed her by. Kieran is her best friend’s brother, and her high school crush, who finally comes home to visit after living in Ireland for more than 20 years.
The Mistletoe Prince by Pepper Basham - I have read the 3 Skymar books by Pepper Basham and was so excited for this story which features some of our favorite characters from Loyally, Luke, and also introduces new favorites! This author managed to pack ALL the best parts of the Edgewood stories into this lovely novella. Without giving any spoilers, I will just say that I love Charlie and her journey to find confidence and believe she is enough. Prince Arran is all I hoped he would be and more than I ever expected.
Say No to Mistletoe by Sheila Roberts - What a fun story! Hailey reluctantly returns home to spend Christmas with her family. After some disastrous mistletoe kisses (including her first kiss on a dare with Carwyn, her high school crush and neighbor years ago) she vows to avoid mistletoe at all costs. Little does Hailey know, Carwyn has been anticipating her return and possibly a second chance under the mistletoe with Hailey.
Mistletoe Season is three short holiday stories. The first one was called Return To Mistletoe by Kathleen Fuller and I really enjoyed getting to know Emmy and Kieran. They were cute! The second story was A Mistletoe Prince by Pepper Basham. I almost skipped this because it’s a royal prince story and I just don’t like those. When a royal movie comes on Hallmark, I turn the channel, I just find them so silly. But I wanted to give this a chance and I’m so glad I did, because it was sweet and I really enjoyed it! The last story is Say No To Mistletoe by Sheila Roberts. This was by far my favorite! Hailey and Carwyn are adorable and it really put me in the Christmas spirit (in May!)
I received an advanced copy from netgalley in exchange for a review and opinions are my own.
This is an enjoyable 3-novella Christmas/Mistletoe collection, My favorite is The Mistletoe Prince by Pepper Basham, which takes place after her Loyally, Luke novel. Prince Arran comes to Mt. Airy, NC to help Luke with construction and meets Charlie/Charlotte. Can they work out all the royal vs common issues and distance issues? Luke and Ellie play parts too!
Return to Mistletoe, by Kathleen Fuller, is about Emmy, who owns an antique shop in Mistletoe, MO, and Kieran O’Neill, who just sold his castle in Ireland and comes back home to Mistletoe. I enjoyed this one too.
Say No to Mistletoe, by Sheila Roberts starts out with Hailey saying to herself that mistletoe is her kryponite. It’s in the first person, but gets better as she meets someone and tries to stay away from mistletoe! Sweet, cute.
All 3 novellas were sweet, very enjoyable reads.
I got this ARC from Netgalley. It is three mini-stories in on book. Each story is filled with love and, obviously, mistletoe. The first story focus on a antique store owner finding love in an Irishman and getting her dream. The second follows a small town girl finding love, courage, self-worth and strength, and her prince charming along the way. The last story follows a New York Author going home as she is going through some personal issues, only to find herself and love along way.
Each stories are very well written.
10/10 recommend.
A fun sweet read! Highly recommend.
Many thanks to the author, publisher, and NetGalley for my ARC.
I loved this sweet collection of Holiday Romances. Pepper Basham was definitely my fave because we got to see characters from her Skymar series, but honestly this whole collection was quick and just made me dream of Christmas even in May. 4.5 Stars rounded up!
Thanks to netgalley and the publisher for the ARC!
This book is three sweet reads to kick off your Christmas season! Or get you in the spirit of the season! I enjoyed all three of these short stories about these little towns and their holiday gatherings. Nothing puts you in the spirit like a holiday party or two, some Christmas giving and some friendships along the way.
𝗠𝗜𝗦𝗧𝗟𝗘𝗧𝗢𝗘 𝗦𝗘𝗔𝗦𝗢𝗡 is the embodiment of several of my favourite things in one splendid little package! First of all, I am a huge fan of Christmas romances and will read them at any point of the year. And second, I love a good novella in between longer, more intense reads. I read each of these stories when I needed a break and finished them in one sitting. This is a must read romance collection, TBR and Enjoy!
This quick and enjoyable read was a delightful escape, populated with well-written characters that felt fun and engaging throughout the story. The author's engaging prose and witty dialogue made for a captivating experience that left me wanting more. The fast-paced plot kept me hooked from beginning to end, and the satisfying conclusion left me with a warm and fuzzy feeling.
I love Christmas stories any time of year, so Mistletoe Season was an instant pick for me.
I've been reading Pepper Basham's Skymar series so was thrilled to get a novella with Ellie's brother Prince Aaran and Luke's cousin Charlie as the main characters. I loved the story, but in true Basham style I always find a thought-provoking quote to ponder long after the story ends,
"..two important things every thoughtful human wants...To be seen and loved for who we really are."
I've read some of Kathleen Fuller's books and assumed I'd enjoy her take on Christmas in Return to Mistletoe, and I was right I did enjoy it! Emmy and Kieran's story was fun, and sweet and a great addition to this group of stories.
I had not read any or Sheila Roberts books before, so I wasn't sure what to expect. Her story, Say No to Mistletoe was a surprise and a delight. Her tongue in cheek delivery of all the reasons to say no to Christmas had me laughing out loud. Hailey and Carwyn were adorable together. I'll be reading more of her books, especially any with a Christmas theme.
All in all, Mistletoe Season was an appealing trio of stories full of charm, wit and romance. I highly recommend this collection. I appreciate Thomas Nelson Publishing making a copy of Mistletoe Season available for review. All thoughts and opinions are my very own.
Each one of these stories are based around Christmas and have mistletoe at some point in them. I really enjoyed all three stories but my favorite was the one by Pepper Basham. I have read her other books and were familiar with the characters in this story. I loved the growth these characters experienced. I love how I s as least feel uplifted after reading her books. I highly recommend this compilation.
"I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own." Thank you #NetGalley, #ThomasNelsonFiction and #HarperCollinsChristianPublishing.
What a gift... 3 stories in this book. The individual stories take you to different locations across the country and world. I enjoyed the mistletoe theme that runs through each of them. Castles and Princes are included and of course happily ever after. You will definitely want to cozy up to a warm fire and read these at least once this Mistletoe Season.
OVERALL STAR RATING: 5/5
CLEAN RATING: 5/5
What an amazing anthology! This book consists of a dream team of authors. Three Christmas novellas all with a little focus on mistletoe for the season. It always amazes me when authors can pull together such a complete feeling story with great character depth within the pages of a novella.
Say No to Mistletoe by Sheila Roberts – Sheila’s book had me giggling right from the start. She never fails to bring characters that you instantly connect with.
Return to Mistletoe by Kathleen Fuller – All the sweet small-town vibes you’d ever want, especially during the holiday season. The town is named Mistletoe and there’s a cute little antique store. Need I say more?
The Mistletoe Prince by Pepper Basham – Fairytale like moments with characters of royalty! And brace yourself…Luke Edgewood makes an appearance in this novella. If you're a Pepper fan, you know how beloved this character is from her Skymar series.
Each of these stories is entertaining and completely unique from one another. Elements of faith, love, discovery and hope woven throughout them all. And of course, plenty of moments under the mistletoe.
I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.
This book has three Christmas goodies for the price of one book!

Say No to Mistletoe by Sheila Roberts: "Say No to Mistletoe" is a charming holiday romance that truly captivated me with its heartfelt and humorous storyline. The main character, a romance novel writer with terrible luck under mistletoe, returns home for the holidays and hilariously runs into her first mistletoe mishap, who is now the ever-charming high school principal. The author skillfully develops the characters, making their interactions feel genuine and relatable, and the witty dialogue kept me thoroughly engaged and smiling throughout.
All three books have a focal point of God in them which is refreshing and reminds you of the true reason for the holiday season.
Clean and sweet romance that makes you smile in each book! These are Hallmark cute 🥰
Thank you to NetGalley and HarperCollins Christian Publishing for this ARC!
I’m going to post my review on Amazon on release day.Thank you so much for letting me read it early.
All 3 novellas were wonderful Christmas stories. I think The Mistletoe Prince by Pepper Basham was my favorite. I've loved every book by her that I've read and highly recommend her books. It was wonderful to see the characters from her Skymar series again and Prince Arran and Charlie were such fun characters.
These are perfect reads for when you're in the Christmas mood but are short on time. Definitely pick this one up...it's a winner!
Thank you NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review. All opinions are my own.

Mistletoe Season by Sheila Roberts, Kathleen Fuller and Pepper Basham. Sheila Roberts writes a very beautiful happily ever mistletoe story. A writer falls in love with the guy back home. And thinks it is unlucky to kiss him under the mistletoe.
What a delightful way to get into the holiday mood!
I loved these three stories written by three wonderful authors.
The stories were full of sweet moments and swoon-worthy moments. Each one also included entertainment mishaps with mistletoes and how that little plant changed individuals’ lives.
All the stories were short and easy to read.
I truly enjoyed reading about each character's situation.
Each book has a flair of its own, and each author is skilled in storytelling.
The stories will bring a chuckle to your heart and soul and a glow to your face.
Another aspect I loved about this collection is that the authors, throughout each story, revealed tender truths about God’s love. These were sweetly written and not at all pushy.
This collection got me thinking about Christmas and all the beautiful aspects surrounding that time of year. Now I can’t wait for the holidays to start! It was just what I needed to get into the holiday spirit, and now I want to decorate my house!
I highly recommend you pick this collection up; it will bring a smile to your face and warm fuzzies to your heart!
The publisher gave me this book, but this did not influence my review in any way; all thoughts and opinions are my own.
How fun! I loved this book, and it’s already getting me into the holiday season. Overall well written and enjoyable.
A Heartwarming Holiday Anthology: Mistletoe Season
"Mistletoe Season" is a delightful anthology that brings together three enchanting Christmas stories by talented authors Sheila Roberts, Kathleen Fuller, and Pepper Basham. This collection is perfect for readers looking to immerse themselves in the warmth and magic of the holiday season.
Say No to Mistletoe by Sheila Roberts
Roberts kicks off the anthology with a charming tale of second chances and overcoming past embarrassments. Hailey Fairchild's aversion to mistletoe, stemming from a mortifying high school experience, sets the stage for a humorous and touching journey of personal growth. The reintroduction of Carwyn Davies, Hailey's former crush, adds a delicious layer of tension and romance to the story. Roberts expertly weaves together elements of humor, nostalgia, and romance, creating a relatable and enjoyable read.
Return to Mistletoe by Kathleen Fuller
Fuller's contribution transports readers to the quaint town of Mistletoe, Missouri, where Christmas spirit is always in the air. The story of Emmy Banks and Kieran O'Neill is a beautiful exploration of the conflict between love and personal aspirations. Fuller's writing shines in her portrayal of small-town charm and the gradual rekindling of a connection between the main characters. The antique shop setting adds a touch of whimsy and nostalgia that perfectly complements the holiday theme.
The Mistletoe Prince by Pepper Basham
Basham rounds out the anthology with a modern fairytale set in the heart of Appalachia. The story of Prince Arran St. Clare's journey of self-discovery in Ransom, North Carolina, is both entertaining and heartwarming. Basham skillfully balances the fish-out-of-water elements with genuine character growth, creating a story that is both funny and touching. The addition of a romance with a woman who helps Arran see beyond his royal facade adds depth to the narrative.
Overall Impression
"Mistletoe Season" is a perfect blend of holiday cheer, romance, and personal growth. Each story in the anthology offers a unique perspective on love and the magic of Christmas, while maintaining a cohesive theme throughout the collection. The authors have created memorable characters and settings that will linger in readers' minds long after they've finished the book.
This anthology is ideal for those who enjoy feel-good holiday romances with a touch of humor and depth. It's a great choice for cozy winter nights or as a gift for the romance reader in your life. "Mistletoe Season" reminds us of the power of love, community, and the special magic that seems to fill the air during the holiday season.
Thank you to NetGalley and HarperCollins Christian Publishing for providing me with an eARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.
Mistletoe Season: Three Christmas Stories by Sheila Roberts, Kathleen Fuller, and Pepper Basham is a heartwarming anthology that brings together three festive romances, each linked by the magical presence of mistletoe.
In Sheila Roberts' "Say No to Mistletoe," we follow Hailey Fairchild, a romance writer whose history with mistletoe has led to a series of comical and disastrous encounters with love. Returning to her hometown for the holidays, she dreads facing her past crush, Carwyn Davies, whose high school kiss under the mistletoe was anything but ideal. Roberts crafts a delightful tale of second chances and personal growth, blending humor and nostalgia with a touch of romance.
Kathleen Fuller's "Return to Mistletoe" transports us to the quaint town of Mistletoe, Missouri, where Emmy Banks, a lifelong fan of Christmas, reconnects with Kieran O'Neill, her old friend and secret crush, who returns from Ireland for his mother’s birthday. Fuller's story is a charming exploration of love and small-town magic, filled with heartfelt moments and a touch of whimsical holiday spirit.
Pepper Basham's "The Mistletoe Prince" rounds out the collection with a modern fairytale twist. Prince Arran St. Clare, exiled to a small North Carolina town, must participate in a local Christmas fundraiser to prove his worth for the royal life he’s destined for. With a blend of royal intrigue, personal transformation, and a budding romance with a spirited local woman, Basham delivers a fun and engaging story that celebrates the true spirit of Christmas.
Overall, Mistletoe Season is a delightful read for anyone seeking a quick dose of holiday cheer and romance. Each story offers a unique perspective on love and the magic of the season, making this anthology a perfect companion for cozy winter nights.
Three stories, three authors, and three different towns and people around the holiday season. It was a smooth flow from one story to the other. Each one has the holiday spirit, each one had different lessons that they had to learn, and each one was unique in seeing who they all were at the beginning of their stories and who they are at the end of their stories. As summer is winding down, As summer is winding down, it was a book that made me realize, Christmas stories are amazing anytime of the year.
I received an ARC from Thomas Nelson Publishing through NetGalley.
Thank you NetGalley and Thomas Nelson Fiction for the e-ARC of Mistletoe Season!
Rating: 5/5 star!⭐
This collection of three novellas is perfect for the holiday season! Each story brought the magic of Christmas to life, making it the ideal read for cozy moments.
Return to Mistletoe by Kathleen Fuller
Novella Rating: 4 stars
This sweet novella is about rekindling a high school romance, set in the charming small town of Mistletoe. It’s a heartwarming best friend’s brother story that delivers on the nostalgia and coziness of a family Christmas reunion. Even though it's a quick read, it totally captures the holiday spirit!
A Mistletoe Prince by Pepper Basham
Novella Rating: 5 stars
This was my favorite of the three! While it felt a bit lighter on the Christmas atmosphere, I loved the dynamic between the two main characters. Prince Aran was adorable and everything you’d imagine in a fairytale prince. The banter between the leads had me laughing and smiling throughout. It’s a dreamy, modern fairytale romance set in a small village, with a plot that flows beautifully and a great ending! I really enjoyed this one!
Say No to Mistletoe by Sheila Roberts
Novella Rating: 4.75 stars
This novella was the most comedic of the three! It perfectly balances the chaos and charm of a holiday rom-com, centered on a career woman returning to her hometown after living in New York. The unexpected twists, humorous moments, and heartwarming interactions made it a delight to read. I loved the 90s rom-com vibes, and the creative storyline left me wanting more. It could’ve easily been a longer novella!
Overall, if you’re looking for a lighthearted holiday romance, or something to read during family visits over the holidays, this collection is a must-add to your winter TBR. Each novella brings something unique while still capturing that cozy Christmas spirit! Highly recommend!
Lovely holiday romances. Each one is different and sweet. I fell in love with each of the characters. This is absolutely perfect for the holidays.
I received an arc from netgalley and the publisher.
This set of 3 novellas in one Christmas book is a very fun Christmas trilogy. I really liked all 3 stories, but Pepper Basham's novella that continues some of the characters from her very popular Edgewood family/Skymar series steals the show for me! I love heartwarming stories at Christmas and this trilogy of books, centered around Mistletoe delivers what many readers like me are looking for at the holidays.
I enjoyed how Mistletoe, used very differently in each of the novellas was a light connection in each. The writing is good, stories are all engaging and characters in all 3 are relatable.
I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.
Mistletoe Season is a delightful, cozy set of stories sure to put its reader in the mood for a romantic Christmas season. These heart warming stories by wonderful authors are sure to be a favorite on your Christmas TBR list this year!! A must read for all Christmas romance lovers everywhere!
“Mistletoe Season” is a lovely collection of stories that all relate in some way to the Christmas tradition of mistletoe. E@ch story stands completely on its own, and they are all good cozy Christmas reads. I enjoyed two of the stories more than the other, but I did enjoy them all. I thought that “Return to Mistletoe” was a delightful holiday story with all of the feels and all of the warm fuzzies a reader wants in a Christmas book. The plot included some good characters and some good personal growth for those characters. I really loved “A Mistletoe Prince” with Charlie and Arran. Both main characters are well-developed and well-thought out. They have similar needs for growth on some levels and yet opposite on other levels. They were so very relatable, and I hated to see the story end. I wanted to know more and more about them! The third story, “Say
No to Mistletoe” was a little harder for me to get into, and just when I felt the story was going to take off, the book wrapped up! I enjoyed the overall plot of this one, but it was harder for me to relate to it for some reason. The writing style was just a little different or something, but it is still a lovely holiday read to get the reader in the mood for Christmas.
I requested a copy of this book for review. The thoughts expressed here are wholly my own.
Lovely collection of Christmas stories, each containing a little mistletoe magic. Two of the stories include the second chance trope, and the other includes the royalty trope. They range in lightness/depth with the third one (Sheila's) being the lightest and, therefore, most like a Hallmark movie and the second one (Pepper's) being the deepest (still like a Hallmark movie but with substance). I enjoyed reading each novella in this collection for my little "Christmas in July" treat. The holiday events and weather made the summer heat feel a little nicer.
Three adorable stories for your Christmas reading. Two new to me authors and the wonderful Pepper Basham create enchanting romantic Christmas stories that are definitely worth the read. NetGalley, the publisher and authors, provided this book for my review. The opinions expressed are my own.
I was drawn to read this series of novellas because I am a big fan of Pepper Basham’s storytelling and I really liked her The Mistletoe Countess! I ended up enjoying all three of these sweet Christmasy tales, my favorite being A Mistletoe Prince. I don’t generally read much romance so was not familiar with Sheila Roberts and Kathleen Fuller. Each of their short stories were fun reads. The book as a whole would make a perfect winter weekend in front of a cozy fire read!
Thanks to NetGalley and Thomas Nelson publishers for the opportunity to read for my honest review.
We are offered three different novellas that revolve around some sweet romance and mistletoe, by three different authors.
One story is a town named Mistletoe and two people who know each other, but haven't seen each other for years. Life goes on, but will mistletoe change their relationship?
Then we have a prince visiting his sister, now this fellow is doing penance or trying to make up for mistakes, and now he is in North Carolina. I have read a previous book about this kingdom from this author, so good, and this sweet story does not disappoint. Can a rural girl become a princess? Well, keep page turning there are answers!
The last story does also have mistletoe, and an author with really bad boyfriend experience that sadly included this plant. Can you go home again? Hailey does and ends up with some really bad hair days, but that's another story, she also is rescued by her former childhood neighbor as she has met the pavement. This is such a cute story, but pain needs to be released in order to capture the future.
You will find yourself lost in this fun read, and when the last page is turned, looking for more!
I received this book through Net Galley and the Publisher Thomas Nelson, and was not required to give a positive review.
'Mistletoe Season' is a perfect holiday read from three exceptional authors. The unifying theme is a kiss under the mistletoe and readers will enjoy how this plays into the storytelling. It was fun to meet new characters and reunite with peripheral characters in books I'd previously read. All, however, were enjoyable and a great book for the Christmas season.
I received a complimentary copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley. The opinions expressed in this review are entirely my own.
I really enjoyed this read. I love Christmas books so was happy to try this one.
There are three separate stories in this one book by three different authors. The first one is Return to Mistletoe by Kathleen Fuller. It's a story of a town and friends old and new. Moving on and staying. I enjoyed it.
The second story is The Mistletoe Prince by Pepper Basham. It's not what comes to mind involving a prince, at least for most of the story. It's funny, and also very touching. A joy to read.
The third and final story is Say No to Mistletoe by Sheila Roberts. In this case Mistletoe is a bad experience for main character as in disaster times three. When she returns to her hometown for the holidays, will the jinx be fixed? It kept me up reading to find out.
I enjoyed the three novella’s included in this delightful Christmas collection. Each story has its own unique charm. I hope no one asks me which one is my favorite because I am not sure I could choose between them. I loved each of them! Often novellas feel rushed with characters lacking depth. That is not the case with this collection. Each story has delivered above and beyond expectation! Multifaceted characters who each have their own strengths and weaknesses as well as growth. And the chemistry between each couple is electric! A page-turning delight!
(I received a copy from netgalley for review at my own request. I am not required to write a positive review. The thoughts and opinions expressed are my own)
All three of the stories in Mistletoe Season are charming, funny, sweet, and swoony! They’re the perfect reads to get you in the mood for Christmas!
Return to Mistletoe
This story was so adorable! Mistletoe, Missouri does Christmas in a big way! Of course it would with a name like Mistletoe, and I adore reading stories set in cozy, small towns like this. I loved the characters, and I would read an entire series of books including them! Emmy and Kieran’s second chance love story was really sweet.
The Mistletoe Prince
I read all of Pepper Basham’s Skymar series, so this novella about cousin Charlotte “Charlie” and Prince Arran made me so happy! Prince Arran and Charlie’s meet-cute is a disaster, but Arran certainly makes an impression on Charlie! However, Charlie quickly realizes that first impressions aren’t always correct assumptions. Arran and Charlie are completely adorable together. Like Basham’s books, this is filled with lots of humor and lots and lots of heartwarming, swoony moments!
Say No to Mistletoe
Sigh! I was completely captivated by this story! Poor Hailey has had disastrous experiences with kissing under the mistletoe. She’s a successful author of romance books, but her own romantic life is non-existent. However, when she returns home for Christmas, she finds out that her first mistletoe kiss really was her happily ever after. I adored everything about Say No to Mistletoe and didn’t want it to end!
I highly recommend Mistletoe Season!
I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book. All views expressed are only my honest opinion.
Cute, cute and more cute! This trio is perfect for a fun Christmas read. They all have an underlying faith thread.
Return to Mistletoe by Kathleen Fuller
Heartwarming story of second chances set in the quaint town of Mistletoe decorated for Christmas. Relatives conspire to match Kiernan and Emmy when Kiernan returns from many years away. Family values are clearly shown and the atmosphere is cozy and nostalgic.
A Mistletoe Prince by Pepper Basham
Hilarious and a decidedly uncute meet! Snarky comments between Luke and Charlotte steal the show. And the names Charlotte has for Arran are so funny: Royal Rascal, Snoring Sovereign, Mouthy Monarch and Prince Nosebreaker. It was wonderful to connect with the Edgewood family again.
Say No to Mistletoe by Sheila Roberts
A romance writer who has bad luck under the mistletoe. This is a very funny rom-com with a favorite trope of heroine comes back to the hometown and meets her highschool crush. So many cute quips. I laughed a lot and the final mistletoe kiss was perfect.

#BookRevew : MISTLETOE SEASON by Sheila Roberts; Kathleen Fuller; Pepper Basham
Three Christmas Stories in one book was a delightful treat. I'm so glad I read these novellas. They were concise and enjoyable. While I wished they could have been longer to savor each story more, each ended on a positive note with a mistletoe theme connecting them all. I also enjoyed the small town romance and festivities.
Return to Mistletoe by Kathleen Fuller - This was another sweet story by the author. I enjoyed the carriage ride.
The Mistletoe Prince by Pepper Basham - I just love the Edgewood family from the Skymar series so no doubt this was my favorite. I got to revisit Luke and Ellie which was fun.
Say No to Mistletoe by Sheila Roberts - This was my first book by the author and it won’t be my last.

Thank you Thomas Nelson Fiction and #netgalley for the complimentary copy. All opinions expressed are my own.
This anthology was absolutely delightful! Two authors were new to me and my love runs deep for Pepper Basham and the second I saw her name on the title I knew I would be reading this one. #noregrets!!
Return to Mistletoe by Kathleen Fuller
'When he left Mistletoe, he didn't vie the town, or Emmy Branch, more than a second thought. He sure was thinking about her now.'
Little sister's best friend, second chance connection all set in a beautiful Hallmark-esque town. This is perfect for any Christmas reading!! This book had real heart and soul put into it and I loved the escape this provided!
A Mistletoe Prince by Pepper Basham
"When I prayed for a prince as a little girl, Lord, this is not what I had in mind."
I cannot get enough of the characters from this series. If you've been reading Authentically, Izzy, Positively, Persephone and Loyally, Luke you're already more than in love with these characters... to add in Charlie's story with a rogue prince was chef's kiss perfection! Royalty, meet-cute gone wrong, second chances and learning to trust; all with Pepper's wit and pop culture references made for an unforgettable Christmas romance!!!
Say No to Mistletoe by Sheila Roberts
'Mistletoe is my kryptonite. One kiss under it, and I go weak in the head. My last three mistletoe kisses resulted in relationship disaster. Which is why I, Hailey Fairchild, am swearing off it.'
This book gave me major 90's romcom vibes and made me laugh out loud so many times. This is boy next door, unrequited crush, second chance kisses (is that a thing? let's make it a thing lol) and really a fun read from start to finish!
Overall, you cannot go wrong with any of these! If you're looking for some fun, contemporary Christmas romances-this would be a great place to start!! Anthologies are always perfect for the busiest time of the year to pick-up and put down with short, quick stories!
I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.
Content/Triggers: minimal innuendo, off-page cancer mention, partying regrets, parent abandonment, secondary character under the influence of alcohol, romance-kisses only.
I loved each of these three novellas. Mistletoe Prince by Pepper Basham was my favorite of the three. Especially since it gave us a glimpse of Charlie and Prince Arran! I've been following the Edgewood Siblings' series so it was really fun to get to read Arran's story. If you haven't read that series, no worries, you'll enjoy this novella!
The other two authors are new to me authors. I enjoyed reading their contributions to this adorable mistletoe collection! They were all very clever, sweet and full of charming characters whom you can't help but cheer for and hope they get their sweet mistletoe kiss! I loved the settings of each novella and the secondary characters.
This is a collection that is sure to get you in the holiday spirit. Or, you can just enjoy reading the sweet and clean love stories anytime of the year!
Content: All three are clean with kisses only.
I received a copy from the publisher, Harper Collins Christian Publishing. All thoughts and opinions in the review are my own.
Happy Reading!!!
The only problem with a novella collection is that each book ends too soon! I was loving these characters and their love stories, which made me ready for Christmas - in September ha!
I know some of the characters in Pepper Basham's "A Mistletoe Prince" are mentioned in her Edgewood family trilogy. Now I am curious if we learn more about any characters in "Return to Mistletoe" by Kathleen Fuller or "Say No to Mistletoe" by Sheila Roberts in their other novels?!
I received an advanced copy from NetGalley. Opinions are my own.
Antiques and Irish castles, a rebel prince, and Mistletoe kryptonite sum up the themes of the three sweet holiday romances found in Mistletoe Season. Perfect, quick, curl-up-and-read-with-cocoa stories that will get your holiday season off to a merry start!
*Thank you to NetGalley and Thomas Nelson for the complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.
Return to Mistletoe (Kathleen Fuller) - Emmy loves Mistletoe and has no plans to ever leave. Kieran left as soon as he could. When Kieran returns briefly to celebrate his mother's 70th birthday, sparks fly between them - but can two people with such different plans make things work?
The Mistletoe Prince (Pepper Basham) - Charlotte always wished for a prince as a child, until she realised how unrealistic the idea was. And her first meeting with her cousin's brother-in-law would put her off if she hadn't already abandoned the idea. But as she sees more of the man, her question shifts from whether the disgraced prince is good enough for her to whether she's good enough for the real man...
Say No to Mistletoe (Sheila Roberts) - After several bad experiences, Hailey is convinced that any mistletoe kiss she engages in is doomed. When she returns to her hometown for Christmas and meets her first mistletoe kiss again, the attraction is stronger than ever - but can she look past her fears to see the truth?
The first and third stories felt fairly run-of=the-mill to me: nothing bad, just forgettable - but the second was delightful, and very well worthwhile. So, this is going to be a review of 'The Mistletoe Prince'. Having read previous books in the series (not necessary to enjoy this story, but very worth doing!), I had high expectations - and wasn't disappointed. It's on the shorter side, but none the less well developed or paced. I was grabbed from the first page and thereafter sighed when they made bad decisions, rejoiced when things went well, and felt for them when things were hard. And when it came to the end, I was torn between appreciating their well-deserved happy ending and being sorry to say goodbye. I particularly empathised with their feelings of inadequacy, and appreciated seeing them each work to convince the other of their worth - in Arran's case, a worth not related to his royal position. A real redemption story on Arran's part, and of acceptance on Charlotte's part. All in all, highly recommended.
Note that I received a complimentary copy of the book from NetGalley. I was not required to write a positive review and this is my considered opinion of the book.
I enjoyed reading Mistletoe Season by Sheila Roberts, Kathleen Fuller and Pepper Basham. You will fall in love with all the characters. I received an ARC of this book courtesy of NetGalley and the publisher. All opinions expressed in this review are my own and given freely. Happy Reading!
I loved the three clean contemporary romances presented in this Christmas anthology by two of my favorite authors, Pepper Basham and Kathleen Fuller, and one new-to-me great new find author, Sheila Roberts. Each novelette is a complete story but is just the right length for reading during a busy holiday season when there isn’t as much downtime to relax. Each one is full of heartwarming content that will put you in the Christmas spirit.
Return to Mistletoe by Kathleen Fuller has a best friend’s big brother trope and features a small town woman and a rugged hero with a delicious Irish accent.
A Mistletoe Prince by Pepper Basham gives us an opposites-attract story featuring a heartbroken prince gone wild who has left his country of Skymar for NC in hopes of regaining his footing and mending his reputation by working with his brother-in-law doing artisan carpentry, construction, and masonry. One of his co-workers, Charlotte aka Charlie, is like no one he has ever met before and he is fascinated. Oooo-oooo this is a good one—straight out of a believable fairy tale.
Say No To Mistletoe by Sheila Roberts is about a young woman who was a wallflower in high school but now has blossomed into a successful, published romance author who lives in NYC. After a number of years she finally is coming home to Washington state for a family visit and meets up with her crush, the boy next door who is now the high school principal. She also deals with her mean girl nemesis who is dating her brother. It’s a triumphant story of growing up and moving forward.
Highly recommend! I received a complimentary copy of the book from the publisher vis NetGalley. All opinions expressed are entirely my own.
I enjoyed reading these 3 Christmas novellas. My favorite was Pepper Basham’s, as it ties in with her recent series of Authentically Izzy, Positively Penelope, and Loyally Luke. Mistletoe gets worked into each of the stories in different ways, but always provides opportunities for the main characters to kiss :-) The characters in each of the stories are well done, and the various plot twists keep up interest. A fun read for getting ready for Christmas!
“I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own." #MistletoeSeason #NetGalley
I love anthologies because they are a great way to read new authors. Two of these authors are new to me. Every story in this anthology has great characters and sweet romance.
Return to Mistletoe by Kathleen Fuller is a second chance sweet romance. I loved Kieran and Emmy. I loved that they were a little more mature in age.
The Mistletoe Prince by Pepper Basham is so fun. While this is a stand alone story, it is also belongs in a series that Ms. Basham has written that I love! I love Arran and Charlotte (Charlie). I love that their love for each other strengthens the other. The first meeting is interesting and sets up the story beautifully. Redemption and love are throughout this story.
Say No to Mistletoe by Sheila Roberts so good. "I am smart, I am strong, I can conquer any situation, and I can resist mistletoe." Hailey's luck with mistletoe is extremely bad. This story is so good. Carwyn and Hailey are great characters.
I love this anthology and I would highly recommend it.
I enjoyed reading the three inspirational Christmas romance novellas that each include a fun mistletoe story element.
Return to Mistletoe by Kathleen Fuller
I read the novella collection in order, starting with Emmy and Kieran’s sweet second chances romance story. Years ago, Kieran needed a last minute fill in date for his high school prom and invited Emmy, his younger sister’s best friend. Emmy had a big crush on Kieran in high school and now he’s back in Mistletoe for the first time in twenty plus years. Emmy owns an antique store and she finds Kieran’s Irish charm hard to resist. His life is in Ireland and she’s a single parent with responsibilities in the US. I enjoyed their fun and heartwarming Christmas romance story.
The Mistletoe Prince by Pepper Basham
Pepper’s story featuring Charlotte and Prince Arran from Skymar is the reason I wanted to read the novella collection. I loved Pepper’s royalty romances series set in Skymar. Luke and Ellie, from Loyally Luke, are side characters and it was so fun to vist with them in North Carolina. The meet cute between Charlotte and Arran is ridiculous and memorable for all the wrong reasons. Arran’s trying to overcome his reputation as a royal rogue and make better life choices. He isn’t looking for romance and Charlotte has her reasons for not believing a real life prince would be interested in wooing her. Their friends-to-more royalty romance is sweet and includes a light faith element in the story.
Say No to Mistletoe by Sheila Roberts
Hailey is a romance author who lives in NYC and she’s returning home to Cascade, Washington, for Christmas. She has bookish events lined up in town, including a book signing and a visit to her old high school. She isn’t happy being single and has a fear of mistletoe after multiple disasters in the past. Her high school crush, Carwyn, was her first mistletoe kiss disaster, and he’s now the high school principal who happens to be single. I like second chance teenage crush romances and enjoyed Hailey and Carwyn’s cute Christmas romance story.
Many thanks to Thomas Nelson and NetGalley for the advanced reader copy. I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.
Mistletoe Season by Sheila Roberts; Kathleen Fuller; Pepper Basham had 3 of the cutest Christmas novellas.
I really enjoyed these authors and their writing.
Such charming stories filled with the sweetest characters.
Thank You NetGalley and Thomas Nelson for your generosity and gifting me a copy of this amazing eARC!
Mistletoe Season, Three Christmas Stories by Kathleen Fuller, Pepper Basham and Sheila Roberts
This is a collection of three novellas all involving mistletoe. They are heartwarming and uplifting stories that are easy to read and bring holiday joy.
The first is Return to Mistletoe by Kathleen Fuller. This story is about a single mom, Emmy and her adopted daughter, Carina. They own an antique shop called Mistletoe Antiques in a town named Mistletoe. Emmy and her former boyfriend, opened the store together but shortly after receiving a business loan, he left taking all the money with him. She is left trying to keep the store going. She is surprised when her high school crush, Kieran, returns after living in Ireland for over 20 years. He is also her best friend’s brother. As they renew their friendship they both realize that the developing relationship is more than a friendship. They have some obstacles to overcome, the biggest one being that Kieran returns to Ireland. What will become of their renewed relationship?
A Mistletoe Prince by Pepper Basham is the second story. Arran is royalty, a prince, with a bad-boy reputation. His family sends him to live with his sister in America and to work for her husband, Luke, who owns a construction company. Another stipulation is that Arran must help with the annual Christmas charity event, the Mistletoe Wish. Luke’s cousin, Charlotte, or Charlie, as they call her, is in charge of the charity and also works for the construction company. They have a rather comical and unfortunate first meeting. Charlie reluctantly decides she needs his help. Arran’s sister, Ellie, enlists Arran’s help in giving Charlie, a self proclaimed tom-boy, a makeover. Will Arran change his bad-boy ways and what will he and Charlie discover about themselves along the way?
The third story in this collection is Say No to Mistletoe by Sheila Roberts. In this story, Hailey Fairchild, a romance writer, has had bad experiences with dates and mistletoe kisses. The author gives us an accounting of Hailey’s last three disastrous relationships all beginning with a kiss under the mistletoe. Hailey has vowed she will never kiss under the mistletoe again. When she returns home to spend Christmas with her family, she discovers her brother’s new girlfriend is the mean girl from high school. She is a hairdresser and convinces Hailey to let her color her hair. She purposely colors it bright green, and this is how Hailey looks when she sees her high school crush, Carwyn, for the first time in years. Hailey is convinced that in order for her to have a relationship with Carwyn, she must stay away from any mistletoe kisses. Their relationship seems to be progressing but problems arise when she realizes that their relationship would have to be a long distance one. He lives in her hometown and she lives in New York City, where her publisher is. After several months, Hailey knows she must make a decision. Will Hailey get over her fears? Will their relationship survive?
These three stories are lighthearted, clean romances filled with fun holiday spirit.
This is from the publisher’s website:
“Say No to Mistletoe by Sheila Roberts
Mistletoe is Hailey Fairchild’s kryptonite. Every time she’s kissed someone under the mistletoe it’s led to love disaster. Not a good thing for a romance writer! When she was a gawky high school girl, her hunky neighbor, Carwyn Davies, star of the basketball team (and her dreams), kissed her under the mistletoe on a dare. But the kiss wasn’t a dream come true. It was a mortifying moment she’s never forgotten, and now she’s about to go home for the holidays, unengaged and . . . determined to say no to mistletoe. Especially if Carwyn is anywhere around.
Return to Mistletoe by Kathleen Fuller
Emmy Banks has always loved Christmas. How could she not when she lives in Mistletoe, Missouri? Kieran O’Neill has spent years abroad, renovating an old Irish castle, but returns to Mistletoe for his mother’s seventieth birthday. He reconnects with Emmy, his sister’s close friend, and spends time with her in her charming antique shop. When the weather turns colder, things start to warm up between Emmy and Kieran. But can Emmy risk her heart when she knows he’ll never stay in Mistletoe, and she will never leave?
The Mistletoe Prince by Pepper Basham
Prince Arran St. Clare has lost his freedom and fairytale life in exchange for a three-month “punishment” in the small town of Ransom, North Carolina. Add a beautiful and intelligent woman who doesn’t recognize her own worth, some mistletoe, and a little Christmas magic and it all might be enough to help the rebel-prince understand what truly matters most.”
I received a complimentary ARC of this book from the Thomas Nelson, Harper Collins via Netgalley. I was not required to write a positive review. The opinions expressed are my own.
Okay this is like 3 cozy hallmark movies all wrapped up in one book. The stories don’t overlap. They’re completely separate from each other. Of the three, I think Say No to Mistletoe by Sheila Roberts was my favorite. All three stories were great though. The first story, Return to Mistletoe by Kathleen Fuller, focuses on Emmy & Kieran. Kieran is back in his hometown for his mother’s birthday when he runs into his sister’s best friend, Emmy who happens to have had quite the crush on Kieran back in the day. The second story is The Mistletoe Prince by Pepper Basham. Prince Arran comes to stay with his sister in North Carolina to try and get his life back on track after his bad behavior & meets Charlotte who could use the help of a prince for the Christmas fundraiser. The third story, Say No to Mistletoe by Sheila Roberts, is about Hailey’s bad luck with the men she meets under the mistletoe & she’s determined not to end up under it again with her childhood crush, Carwyn, when she returns home for the holidays. These are quick little reads that you could probably finish in 1-2 hours each.
Thank you to NetGalley & Thomas Nelson for the advance copy. I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.
I was feeling the Mistletoe...
Since this was the first mistletoe book I've read this season, I was down for it.
Three novellas, one by an author I've read for years and two new to to me authors.
Its a recommend!
I really enjoyed these three Christmas novellas, particularly the second.
I'm a huge Pepper Basham fan, so I was excited to read "A Mistletoe Prince". "Loyally, Luke" (part of Ms Basham's Skymar series) introduced me to Prince Arran and Charlotte. Suffice to say, my intrigue about them has been peaked since!
As usual, Ms Basham's writing evokes huge smiles from me as I was sucked into the story. Sadly, I couldn't read this in one sitting (c'mon, life!). 😆
Kathleen Fuller's "Return to Mistletoe" was a sweet romantic read about a single mum and her childhood crush. Filled with the warmth and fun of a small town, this romance about people in their 40s was nice to read (I'm in my 40s too!).
Sheila Roberts's "Say No to Mistletoe" was a fun read! With engaging, witty banter and a fast-paced story (particularly in the beginning), I found it easy to read. It was Hallmarky but with more witticisms. 😂
I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.
This book reads like a collection of Hallmark Christmas movies! Sweet Christmas love stories from a range of characters...from a middle aged single mom to a royal trying to outrun his mistakes!
This is five stars for cozy Christmas feelings and just pure, simple enjoyment!
Three wonderful Christmas stories that really are uniquely different and wonderfully written. Plus I have two new authors to follow. Each story has a sweet HEA that just will warm your heart. #MistletoeSeason
A wonderful collection of Christmas stories all mistletoe related. The three books are fun, clean and sweet romances. The entertaining and fun characters really draw you into their stories and keep you engaged.. I love the writing styles of all three authors. There was a faith element to some of them. All such sweet and adorable romances filled with happiness, love and holiday goodness. Wonderful reading that you don’t want to miss out on!
I loved all 3 stories in Mistletoe Season! Sweet romances set at Christmas time. All 3 are standalone and quite delightful, just the type of book to curl up with a cup of hot chocolate and a cozy blanket!
I highly recommend Mistletoe Season for pure enjoyment!
I was given a copy of Mistletoe Season with no expectations. All thoughts are my own!
Such a fun collection of novellas! I was not familiar with Kathleen Fuller or Sheila Roberts and really wanted to read the collection for Pepper Basham's story. I'm glad I read all three stories; they were very different from each other but all full of Christmas cheer and spirit set in small towns.
Return to Mistletoe by Kathleen Fuller brought Emmy and Kieran together after two decades as more than friends. Their friendship and walk down memory lane were sweet. Their rise above their greatest fear was rewarding and I also enjoyed the interesting secondary characters.
A Mistletoe Prince by Pepper Basham was everything I hoped for and more. Charlie Edgewood and Arran St. Clare had the perfect chemistry with banter, flirting, and same passion and vision. Charlie embracing her femininity and Arran embracing his royal purpose were truly delightful. A perfect Christmas rom-com indeed.
Say No to Mistletoe by Sheila Roberts was a fun romcom narrated in first person by a romance author named Hailey. Hailey was a little wonky with an imagination that took flight in all different directions. She was lovable, funny, self-deprecating and really such a complement to Carwyn whom she's had a crush on since forever. Their recounting of memories growing up next door to each other was endearing and their romance was heartfelt.
I received a complimentary copy courtesy of Thomas Nelson via NetGalley and was under no obligation to post a positive comment. All opinions are my own.
I thought this was a delightful Christmas novel that was like being wrapped up in a warm blanket and watching the Hallmark Channel. I enjoyed the three different stories and I thought all of them were wonderful reads,
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for providing me with this book in exchange for my honest review!
What a wonderfully sweet Christmas read. There are three novellas in this book. I give the book 5* for sweet love stories at Christmas time, the characters are easy to fall in love with, the writing is descriptive and flows well. Definitely recommend!
Thank you to Sheila Roberts, Kathleen Fuller, Pepper Basham, NetGalley and Thomas Nelson Publishing for allowing me this arc e version in exchange for my opinion.
Mistletoe Season includes three sweet Christmas stories by three wonderful authors. The first story begins with the reuniting of Emmy and Kieran. They went to high school together, but he left to travel the world. He has just sold a castle that had been in his family for years and is visiting for the holidays. Kiernan has plans to leave after the holidays, but changes his plans and leaves earlier. Will Emmy see him again? The second story is about a rogue Prince who is sent to live with his sister and her husband in the United States. He has to earn his own money, do some volunteer work and change his ways according to his royal family. After a horrible first impression, Prince Arran has to win the trust of Charlotte and help her with the fund raising activities for the MIstletoe Wish Foundation. The two of them are falling for each other, but the Prince has to go back to his royal life and Charlotte thinks she will never fit into it. Finally, the last story is about a quiet girl from a small town who moves to New York City and becomes a romance writer. She loves her family, but has some bad memories from growing up there. The only good memory is of her next door neighbor, Carwyn. She had a huge crush on him and now she may have a chance of love with him. He is the high school principal and his Dad is ill. There is no way that he can move to NYC to be with Hailey. Will Hailey give up her life in NYC to be with him? You will have to read these stories to find out if there is a happy ending for these three women.
This was three novellas all relating to mistletoe! I loved all of them, but my favorite was Return to Mistletoe. It was so great to get into the Christmas spirit and cute little bite-size pieces.
Christmas books are my favorite. When you have 3 Christmas novellas in one, makes it even better. I have never kissed under the mistletoe but each of these couples have their own experiences. I couldn't really choose a favorite because each story stands on its own merits and fun. It was a joy to read them. I received a copy through Netgalley. A review was not required.
A collection of three stories by different authors. Pepper Basham was the standout author for me. I loved the newest addition to her Skymar series which could be read without reading the others (although I do highly recommend reading them). I loved the characters and the growth they showed over the course of the book. I would buy this book happily for that story and my rating reflects that rather than all 3 stories.
I did not gel as well with the other authors I'm afraid. I think this is because I didn't relate to the characters/stories. I know these authors are popular and that the other stories will appeal to their readers, just not me.
I receive complimentary books for various sources including, Netgalley, Authors, and other such sources. I am not required to write a positive review and have not received compensation
This was a really good book. I enjoyed all 3 stories by the different authors. They held my attention and kept the story moving. I would recommend this book to my friends to read. I am so very glad to have been selected to read this book.
Thank you NetGalley for the ARC. Is the novel is comprised of 3 lovely holidays stories. Pepper's was my favorite and could have read a whole book about that story.
A Hallmark-esque romance anthology. I love the short stories and variety in each couples situation. Fast and fun holiday read!
I love Christmas anthologies! You can read (or listen) to a story in a few hours and get all the feel-good warm fuzzies that a longer book can give. I was also excited to see that Tanya Eby narrates the three stories in Mistletoe Season. I've heard her before, most notably in Robyn Carr's books, so I knew I would enjoy listening. Throw in three can't miss authors, and this book wins all around.
Kathleen Fuller kicks things off with Return to Mistletoe. Emmy Banks has a pretty good life in Mistletoe, Missouri. It's fortunate she lives in a town where Christmas is HUGE because it's her favorite of all the holidays. She runs the local antique shop and is raising her daughter alone. Kieran O'Neill has spent so many years living abroad that he's gained an Irish lilt to his voice, so when he first walks into Emmy's shop, she doesn't recognize her first crush. Kieran is home to celebrate his mother's 70th birthday and he expects it to be a short stay. Spending time with Emmy, Kieran starts to see a future with her by his side, but can he really live in the town where grief for the loss of his father hits him at every turn?
Pepper Basham is up next with The Mistletoe Prince. This story ties into her Skymar series, with Luke Edgewood of Loyally, Luke making frequent appearances. Prince Arran St. Clare went "off the rails" when the woman he loved chose someone else. As "punishment" he is sent to live three months in Ransom, North Carolina, where no one cares about his royal status. To prove he's ready for royal reinstatement, he must participate in planning the Mistletoe Wish charity fundraiser. Add in a beautiful, intelligent, adventurous woman who doesn't see her own worth, and sprinkle everything with Christmas magic, and both Arran and Charlie (Charlotte) come away changed.
Sheila Roberts winds things up with Say No to Mistletoe. Mistletoe has been Hailey Fairchild's downfall ever since Carwyn Davies kissed her on a dare. She was a gawky, awe-struck freshman to his "too cool for school" senior athlete status so learning he'd done it because someone dared him to humiliated her. Ever since, kisses under the mistletoe have led to her romances imploding. She left town for college and never went back, except for short visits. Now that mistletoe has once again struck her love life resulting in a broken engagement, she's going home for the holidays. She's determined to avoid the ever present mistletoe - especially since Carwyn also seems to be ever present. Can Carwyn help her see that their long-ago mistletoe kiss wasn't the colossal mistake she always thought it was?
Each of these authors knows how to tug the heart strings and sprinkle in enough giggles to keep things light. I loved this whole book, and would highly recommend it to anyone looking to get into the Christmas spirit.
I loved these stories! Each story was so unique! From a refurbished Scottish Castle to a Skymar prince to a High School Principal! These authors nailed it! I enjoyed each storyline and found a couple new authors!
All thoughts and opinions are my own!
This collection of Christmas novellas was a sweet treat during the busy holiday season. The stories captured the Christmas spirit perfectly and were short enough that I was able to actually finish them despite the holiday craziness. I don't normally read novellas, but these convinced me to try them again and gave me some new authors to explore.
Return to Mistletoe by Kathleen Fuller
Can you imagine living in Mistletoe, Missouri? How fun would that be? Well, Emmy Banks absolutely loves living in Mistletoe and never plans to leave. She loves everything about Mistletoe including her antique shop.
Emmy hasn't seen Kieran O'Neill in many years. He's been away renovating an old Irish castle. How romantic does that sound now? Just sigh worthy! But, he's back in the town of Mistletoe for his mother's surprise seventieth birthday party. And he's her best friend's brother.
Some in Mistletoe believe Emmy and Kieran belong together. Read to find out if they're right!
The Mistletoe Prince by Pepper Basham
Prince Arran St. Clare of Skymar has not been behaving as a prince should. His heart was broken and he's been a bit of a disgrace to his title. His parents have decided to send him to Ransom, North Carolina where his sister, and her husband live to work as a commoner for three months. He must also participate in the Christmas charity fundraiser, The Mistletoe Wish. His arrival in Ransom doesn't get him off to a very good start as far as good impressions or getting his life on the right track. But, he does have time to get it together. As luck (or fate) would have it, one of his first impressions is with his brother-in-law's cousin, Charlotte, aka Charlie. He will be working with her, physically as well as with The Mistletoe Wish. Can the Prince change Charlie's first impression of him? He's got his work cut out for him.
Say No To Mistletoe by Sheila Roberts
Hailey Fairchild is convinced that mistletoe is her kryptonite. Every single time she has been kissed underneath it, it has lead to disaster. She is determined there will be no kiss under any mistletoe this season. And, to top it all off, she is an author, of romance of all things!
It all began in high school when her oh, so hot neighbor, Carwyn, kissed her on a dare under the mistletoe. Her breath smelled like garlic and she was so mortified! She had been crushing on him for so long, and now this! She quickly ran away from him!
Now, after a failed romance, that began with a mistletoe kiss, she is going home for the holidays without a 'plus one.' How humiliating! And, if that wasn't enough, she comes home to discover her brother is now dating someone who had bullied her in high school. He is totally smitten with this woman. And, Hailey's mother's hair is bright red! What other surprises are there?
Three totally wonderful adorable Christmas stories that made me want to put up my Christmas tree in the first week of November!
I was given an advanced ecopy by the publisher, Thomas Nelson, through Netgalley. I was under no obligation to write a positive review.
