I was drawn to this book because I have always been curious about adaptogens. I just never really knew how to go about incorporating them into my routine. This book was so perfect. It gave great background info on the types and how to use them in non-alcoholic drinks.
Some of my favorite recipes from this book are the Holy Basil-Cucumber Lemonade, Lion's Mane Vietnamese Coffee (insert drool emoji), and the Burdock Bananas Foster Mai Tai, which sounds like 2 VERY different flavor profiles but oddly pair so well.

The photos in this book are beautiful. I personally find the Moringa Unicorn Latte to be the MOST STUNNING picture in the whole book.

I highly recommend this and will be purchasing hard copies to give to all my friends and family.

I was excited to see a book filled with non-alcoholic cocktails made with adaptogens. I've only started to experiment with these drinks in the last few months and they certainly have improved my sleep and lowered my stress levels. The recipes are inventive and fun, many accompanied by mouthwatering photos to whet your appetite. The author provides a comprehensive daily guide to adaptogens, along with descriptions, benefits and recommended dosages. I also love the gadget and tool section, very helpful! However, personally being so new to using adaptogens, I would've loved a couple of recommended brands or places to purchase them (brick and mortar and online). I'll start at my local health food store.

It's a beautiful book! I can't wait to add to my kitchen collection and dive into the world of creative nocktails!

The book is pretty to look at. I live in the middle of nowhere so finding the majority of the ingredients is truly impossible.

I think this would be a great book for people who have access to unique ingredients (probably living in a large city) who want to try out delicious drinks that can also increase their health.

Living in a small town, most of these drinks are unattainable, but I was drawn to the beautiful cover and great-looking drinks! Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC.

I loved the idea of this book and was super excited to read it but when I started flipping through the recipes they seemed a little too out of reach for me personally. I was hoping they would be a little more accessible but almost every recipe has something I’ve never heard of before. This book is great though if you’re really looking to branch out and explore for drink alternatives. I loved that it was organized by the seasons and the pictures were very appealing! It had many drinks that I would love to try if someone made them for me but they were too complex for me to want to make them myself.

I have to say, the recipes in this book are definitely interesting and unusual, if nothing else. I was surprised by quite a few ingredients that I didn't even know existed, and I'm normally an adventurous cook always keen to try something new. My concern is that the book might end up being entirely too arcane for someone who simply wants to broad their range of concoctions they prepare in order to entertain guests. However I think the recipes in the book ultimately reward those who go all in, uncover all those new additions to their pantry/fridge and decide to broaden their usual repertoire. Now if only there was a bar or a cafe close to me that would make me all those wonderful drinks without a hassle of doing it all myself!

This is a gorgeously done recipe book that explains the benefits of each key drink ingredient and lays out the steps in an manner that seems easy enough to replicate. I appreciate that each recipe yields one drink.

It is so difficult to reduce ingredients when they are written for batch production, but it feels easy enough to multiply a single serving recipe for more, if needed.

Above all, artwork is beautiful and adds to the energy of the book.

I learnt so much about herbs and adaptogens from this book! It gave me lots of ideas about how to incorporate these useful plants into many different styles of drinks. Definitely a resource worth having for anyone who wants to improve their health in a natural way.

It's amazing to see so many NA drink options that look so good! I also love that the recipes are separated out by season, and the pictures were so pretty!

I love all the recipes available in this book. I am dry curious and love these ideas. The recipes do use many ingredients I don't have so it would be a pricy project to try these recipes. This would be a great resource for a dry bar or a gym.

After reading this one, I have ordered it for my library's collection because I think it will make a great addition to our cookbook section. I like that the author lists all the adaptogens she'll be using in the beginning along with warnings for the ones that should not be used if you have a mushroom allergy or are pregnant/breastfeeding. I also like that there's a recipe list at the end that organizes each recipe by which adaptogen is used in it. Since adaptogens are not a topic I know much about, I would definitely do some more research on the ones I want to try using before introducing them into my diet but I think this is a great place to start to get to know what's out there, what potential benefits they each have, and how to incorporate them into a beverage that you'll enjoy. The drinks are separated for each season and the pictures have them beautifully displayed which is really appealing, especially for a dinner party or any gathering where you might want to have cute signature non-alcoholic drinks. People who don't like alcohol or can't have it will enjoy the fun options here that are not only good for you but look pretty too. The only drawback is that consumers will have to buy special products for many of the recipes which may require them to be purchased online or a specialty store. But if you are willing to do that, I think this is a great book of recipes with clear instructions and beautiful displays.

Using natural plants for wellness has always been appealing to me and it’s something I practice, mostly with things from my own garden or what’s grown locally. While I do love the concept of this book, it wasn’t personally for me. The recipes all sound very interesting and tasty, but there were a lot of specialty products one would need to make them. I still believe it’s a beautiful book for non-alcoholic healthy drinks, but the market is definitely very specific.

It used to be that our non-alcoholic options for drinks when we went out were: Shirley Temple, soda water, or juice, or maybe if we were feeling really wild, a mix of ginger ale and juice. This sad list of sad drinks meant people who chose not to drink alcohol typically quietly suffered while their companions were served beautifully finished glasses of frothy, foamy, vibrant, umbrella and orange slice bejewelled masterpieces...with booze. Over the past decade, however, the tables have turned and nonalcoholic choices are flourishing at restaurants, bars, even at the local wine shop. Again, though, the choices seem often limited to overly sweet, under-carbonated beverages-almost always served in a can. This new book by former bartender Gaby Mlynarczyk, "Drink up & Glow", is a guide to making the best head-turning drinks that just so happen to be void of alcohol and in its place are healthful, meaningful, feel-good, adaptogenic ingredients.
Mlynarczyk's recipes encourage you to really explore adaptogens in the most fun way.. There's a recipe for an "American Pie Shot" containing among other ingredients, ginseng, fresh-pressed apple cider, and maple syrup that sounds delicious. And how can one not hop on the mushroom bandwagon and try out the "Dirty Chaga Chai" that contains ingredients like tea, plant-based milk, ginger, turmeric, chocolate, and chaga mushroom powder? The book is divided into seasons which helps in tracking down some of the ingredients and it features some absolutely gorgeous illustrations, as well as photos of perfectly mixed, tempting-looking drinks just waiting for you to have a sneaky sip from. For the winter section, there's a "Moringa Mulled Wine" which is packed with nutrients and the author notes that the moringa adaptogen has long been used as an "ally" to fight cognitive decline (p. 145). Imagine drinking to prevent, heal, or nourish? What a novel approach to the beautiful art of drink making.

These drinks are definitely not for the average home cook. I’m an avid cook and there are definitely a lot of ingredients/adoptogens that I would have to buy specialty. They all look so elevated and delicious! This is a book I would pull out when planning a special gathering. I do love the glossary in the front to learn about ingredients I’m not familiar with. This is a fun book!

I am not a specialty juicer, meaning that I do not have lots of different spices or ingredients that you wound not find in a regular supermarket. This book was mostly recipes that contained those items. However, the few that I did find that had everyday ingredients were so good! I thank NetGalley and Quarto Publishing Group/ Fairwinds for the advance red.

I want to buy a hardcover copy and display it next to my juicer on the kitchen counter every day.

The approach of this juicing guide was unlike any I’d ever seen. It combined ancient medicines and holistic theories of wellness with real science and understandably presented this to the reader.

The recipes range from super accessible to really niche and adventurous but they’ll all be described with detail exactly how they will improve your health.

Fantastic for anyone looking to add to their daily greens and fruit intake, vegans, and folks who have specific nutrition goals such as iron deficiency or low/high blood sugar.

As someone who solely drinks mocktails and just loves having fun drinkies all the time I was so interested in this book and it did not disappoint! This was so cool and I even tried a few of them and they were great! I loved the ideas in this book and how different they were than most common mocktail ideas!

What an interesting take on mocktails! I love the list of items needed for your cocktail bar. The recipes are intricate and some of the ingredients seem difficult to obtain but mostly sound delicious!
