Thank you Zando and NetGalley for the eARC of Fast & Reckless! All opinions in this review are my own.

I really enjoyed this F1 romance! My only complaint is that I just read another F1 romance with a similar storyline for the female main character (dad owns the team and she has a terrible experience with someone who also works in F1 which keeps her away from the sport for years before her return). However, I did love Will's storyline! I think I'm going to love the next book in the Racing Hearts series!

I'm rating this book a three stars. It was not the amazing but it was not bad either. I felt like the main characters had good chemistry and I enjoyed their small banter. However, I didn't feel connected to them. I was disconnect from the plot at multiple times throughout the story. I didn't care at all about the spice scenes and I don't think they brought anything to the story. I'm not an F1 watcher but I did enjoy the race scenes. They were well described in my opinion and I could feel the tension the driver was feeling. I also foudn there was a good balance in the race scenes and the romance. I did really enjoy the ending! It was very cute!

Thank you to the publisher for sending a digital copy of this book!

I really enjoyed this F1 romance as someone who's not a fan of the sport and knows little about it. I loved how Mira was a woman who fought hard for what she wanted - especially with her past. The timing of her reveal fit perfectly into the story, so no spoilers here. I also liked Will and how he was self-aware throughout the novel. There was a lot of trust that developed between these two, and I liked the pacing of their romance. I ended up doing the audio and the narrators did a phenomenal job with their performances. I see this is the first in a series, and I'll definitely read the others.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

So, this New Adult F1 romance has the classic team owner's daughter and driver trope, but Amanda Weaver makes it feel fresh! Mira's backstory is super relatable—she got mixed up with a 30-year-old driver at 16 and had to leave racing. Now she’s back and trying to prove herself, even if she makes some questionable choices with Will Hawley.

The chemistry is off the charts, and the racing scenes are so exciting! My only tiny issue was the choice of Singapore for their public hookup—it felt a bit random.

I really hope this kicks off a series because I’m dying to see some of the other characters get their happy endings!

This was cute. I got hooked initially and only towards the middle got slightly bored but then it picked up again and I loved the drama. This was a cute fast burn and I loved how everything turned out. I would definitely recommend if you love F1. Thank you to netgally and Zando for an ARC!

This book is exactly what I needed to get myself out of a book slump.
A quick and easy read that doesn't feel too cheesy, I was absolutely hooked and genuinely ready for the next installment.
Maybe I have a thing for Formula 1 romances? My only wish was to hear more about the cars and the races with less skipping over them, I have a need for the mechanical nerdy stuff.

This was such a cute romance book. This story follows Mira, the daughter of the Principle of the Lennox racing team, and Will the once bad boy turned reformed racer reclaiming his racing glory. Mira and Will were such a cute couple to read, they had such good banter on the page and I loved that their romance didn’t feel rushed. I appreciate how the author handled the situation that Mira was coming back from and how Brody got what he deserved. I found this book to be highly entertaining and at times it felt like I was right there at the race watching with bated breath if Will would win it all or crash and burn. This book has a good paced romance and does cover some potentially triggering stuff, so readers beware. But I would highly recommend this book if you’re into F1 racing and romance books, plus the spicy scenes were off the charts hot 🥵.

Wow Zando, just take my money please and keep giving me more of this!! When I saw this book I was drawn to the cover and the synopsis seemed just angsty enough to be a fun read. Then I saw who was publishing it and knew it would be good—they have been repeatedly publishing books that seem directed right at my guilty pleasure. Even better than reading this book? The audio! I started the book with reading it and then went back and reread with audio and both had me so hooked!

Will was swoony and even likable as a reformed bad boy. Mira was likeable even when a bit annoying and stubborn about her past/insecurities. These are character that don’t represent a single person I know and yet I was here loving them and rooting for them. So do I care about racing? Nope—I’m from SC, racing here means mullets and cheap beer (not sexy). But whoa, whatever they have going on in Formula 1 in Europe…just sign me up! I seriously can’t wait for the next book in the series!

I loved this! Devoured this book. I love f1 romance books and this book did not disappoint me. It was Fast paced, spicy, entertaining and knowledgeable. I loved that Amanda was able to explain the sport without over explaining it. There were sweet moments, spicy moments, sad moments. It was great all round. Had so much fun with it and the cover is gorgeous!

This was such a fun read ☺️!!!

To be honest, at first, I was kind of scared because the book is in 3rd person pov & I sometimes have a really hard time with reading books in this pov but it wasn’t the case in this one 💜 and I am so happy I didn’t stop reading it because of that because this book was really fun!!

If there’s 1 thing I can never get enough of in books, it’s banter between the 2 main characters & this book had plenty of it and I ATE IT UP😮‍💨

I also loved how relatable Mira is!! There was a couple times where I was like, girl same 🤭

And the spice was 🤭😮‍💨🔥

I enjoy a good F1 romance. While this was just okay for me, I think that it's probably the insta love trope that held me back from enjoying this more.

Amanda has turned me into a Formula 1 fan! This book was so much fun and I couldn’t put it down! Pretty sure even Will would be impressed with the speed at which I devoured this book.

I am a sucker for a workplace romance with mutual pining. It creates so much delicious tension and it is always so explosive when they finally give in. And oh boy did Will and Mira pining for each other. They were instantly attracted to each other but because of several factors, namely her being his boss’s daughter and her past, Mira was adamant that they couldn’t be more than friend. But we all know how that works out.

I loved the two of them together. Will was the reformed bad boy who coaxed Mira out of her self imposed shell. And Mira provided unwavering belief in Will and his ability to win.

I can’t claim any knowledge about F1 but this book felt well researched and immersive.

I’m officially a fan of Amanda and F1 and I can’t wait for the next book in the series.

Mira, daughter of the principal of one of Formula 1’s top teams, has made her way back onto the racing scene as her father’s assistant after a scandal kept her away from the track for seven years. She is determined to make sure her father doesn’t regret his decision to bring her back by keeping her head down, working hard, and definitely not falling for the smoking hot team driver, Will. But alas their chemistry is hotter than an F1 tire tread and can’t be denied. They try to keep it on the DL but when her past comes back to haunt her, all hell breaks loose.

Liked
* honestly I liked this more than I thought I would. The chemistry between Will and Mira was well written. I don’t know shit about F1 racing so it was fun to get a peek into that world.
* This is a quick read (ha! pun!). There was definitely a lot of thought and backstory put into these characters.

Disliked
* Brody can go to hell.
* The book overall, the writing, etc… it was fine. Nothing bad, nothing mind blowing. Just a decent zippy little read.

🫡 Tropes deployed: sports romance, forced proximity, forbidden love, secret relationship, sorta workplace romance, complex past/traumatic history

I enjoyed this book and the racing aspect. It was a nice change of pace from the usual sports romance books. Will and Mira's relationship was fun and the protective nature he had for her is what all girls want. I usually prefer 1st person point of view but this was well written and I enjoyed this narrative story telling.

If ever there was an F1 romance to introduce me to this category of romance books – Fast & Reckless is it! Weaver absolutely knows her stuff around a race track and gave us the good stuff when it comes to the hot drivers, the fast cars and the business behind it all.

This was a fun, forbidden, office romance between an F1 racer with no fear and a woman who loves the track but had been burned by a driver before.

Both Mira and Will have pasts actions that are haunting their potential future careers in racing so neither can afford the risk of a relationship when they work on the same team but that doesn’t stop them for long.

I really felt for Mira and how mistreated she was as a teen. She had to shoulder such a heavy burden that was not her fault and basically lives her life now tiptoeing around her father and working herself to the bone to prove herself and make up for the past.

I loved that Will fell first and though he pursued her he wasn’t creepy about it. He too had to prove himself given a harried past but he was fearless!

Weaver creates a really compelling story that has you wondering when the shoe is going to drop. I appreciated that the angst wasn’t super high and that they both got their happily ever after.

As a big Formula One fan, I have to say, if you love the sport, this book is definitely for you. But even if you’re not into Formula One, it’s still an awesome read. This was my first Amanda Weaver book, and it won’t be my last! She creates such great characters, and the romance between the leads feels real and heartfelt. What I loved most was that the characters talked to each other—no annoying miscommunications that could’ve been solved with a simple conversation. The romance is believable, and the racing world challenges they face feel realistic. The side characters are also a lot of fun, and I’m hoping Violet gets her own story.

*Thank you to NetGalley, Amanda Weaver, and Zando for providing the opportunity to read this eARC in exchange for a review, but all thoughts are my own*

As a fan of F1, I love that it's getting it's time in the world of sports romances. This one tells the story of Miranda, the daughter of an F1 team boss who messed up when she was 16 and feels like she's been paying the price ever since. Determined to redeem herself in the eyes of her father, she takes a job as his assistant for the racing season where she meets the team's new driver Will. Will also has made some mistakes and is getting a second chance in F1 after driving elsewhere for the past three years. Both have incentives to stay focused on their jobs but can't help their growing attraction to one another but Miranda's past eventually catches up with her. This was such a fun sports romance in the world of F1 and I can't wait to read more by this author.

4⭐, 2.5🌶️

I loved how much I enjoyed this book! The F1 moments were so well described I felt like I was actually listening to a sky sports recounting. The drama on the track at moments had me stopping to stand still and listen. SO GOOD!

I really liked the premise of this forbidden secret romance. I really liked the 'mystery' behind Mira's break with the F1 work, and Will's bad boy mentality had me instantly knowing I would love him.

So I think the main reason I gave this book 4 stars was as I was reading the audiobook, while I was listening I enjoyed it, but I wasnt gripped enough at times and got distracted and would zone out and miss points of the story. Is that probably my fault more? yes. BUT, while I listened to it, I really enjoyed what I was listeneing to! But I missed some of the story sooo I cant give it higher.
