If you enjoy Sci-Fi romantic suspense, The Descartes Legacy is a great choice. Jenna finds herself suddenly without the medication she takes for a genetic illness when her father dies in a car accident. A letter sent on the event of his death puts Jenna in the middle of a violent world she could have never imagined.

Luke has lost it all to the Conclave: a worldwide clandestine organization lead by the most powerful and rich of the planet who stop at nothing to further their own agendas. Set on destroying them whatever the cost, he’s been gathering intel for the last decade. When a lead points him to Jenna and he finds her in the middle of a murder investigation, things begin to get interesting.

Jenna just doesn’t know who to trust or what the hell is happening to her. As Luke and his people keep unearthing secret after secret, her life seems to spin out of her control.

Jenna was incredibly strong, the world kept shifting under her feet but she didn’t let it take her down. Resilient and ultimately selfless she was a fantastic leading lady. Luke was committed to his cause, but when he realized what Jenna meant to him, his priorities diversified. He was in command, aloof and sexy. A badass with a tender side: pure yumminess.

I do have to confess that while the suspense and action sides of The Descartes Legacy are extremely well done, I didn’t completely connect with the romantic aspect. I was never totally engaged with Jenna and Luke’s relationship.

This is a fascinating and entertaining book I really enjoyed, but I haven’t been able to find the following book, as it finished in an HFN with a month as the time frame… is the next installment out there or in the works? Because if it isn’t well, that’s just plain mean!

This author each time delivers to me a read that I can escape with a possible adventure. This one most certainly contained a adventure, one that was refreshing while keeping me attached to it from start to finish. A mystery brings two people together-Lucas and Jenna. The why's are different but it leads to one name on both of their clues. Even though this is one this author has written earlier in her career it still is exciting. She mixes the intrigue with romance as in this case a out of this world kind of drama that keeps you accelerated with times on edge. You wont put this down until there is no more mystery.
