Thank you, Rob, mysterious partner of Nina. I'm glad you survived her (rightly) rage when you dared to suggest her to write a "good book". I have to say she'a a saint or you are really lucky. I guess any other woman might have robbed you of your life (or at least your family jewels).
Thank you Nina, for resisting the urge to kill and delivered us with such romp.
The Descartes Legacy is a futuristic thriller centred around Jenna Young and the sudden deaths surrounding her. It deals with paranoia, secrets, and conspiracies. It starts high and never let the readers down. I started reading one weekend morning and couldn't stop until I finished late the same afternoon. (Partner and cats were than't happy, mind you).
There's not much I can say about this book, without giving away spoiler. Even the small facts that bothered me at the beginning (view spoiler) were explained at the end.
This is the perfect book for fan of adrenaline-filled adventure or thriller novels. And more so for fans with a romantic streak, because at the end Ms Croft couldn't really keep her promise to Rob and a small thread of romance trickled in.
The story ends with the novel, but it's an open ending. So there might be some other adventure in the future of Luke and Jenna. And who knows, maybe they'll save the day again. (And pay the price for that too).
