Alex is a true-crime devotee and her friends Lainey and Melody have planned the surprise bachelorette party of her dreams, taking her to the Catskills, specifically to an alleged haunted hunting lodge where ten years ago Eric Myers, the 666 serial killer stabbed a victim and wrote on the walls in her blood. Alex recently had a chance to interview this killer in prison as part of her internship with an investigative news show (because, you know, that’s what interns do. They don’t file and do grunt work. They interview high profile killers.)

The women are hanging out, then go to bed. Then Alex wakes up to find her friends are missing and her hands are covered in blood, and so are their sleeping bags. Did the police get the right person or is the 666 killer still at large? Could Alex be responsible? Can she find her friends?

Let me tell you, this group is about the dumbest collection of people in the world. I won’t spoil anything by listing the many, many ways in which this is true, but suffice it to say that by the end you kind of hope a serial killer comes along and puts them all out of your misery. Read at your own risk.

Everything seems to be going well for Alex, she has her dream job as an intern on a popular investigative news program and is engaged to a man who is almost too perfect. Now her best friends are taking her on a surprise bachelorette weekend planned with Alex’s unusual set of interests in mind: her obsession with the famous 666 Killer!! Wow! Crazy read! And what an ending! I don’t know if I’d want friends like that! lol This book had suspense, intrigue, murder, mystery, a great who done it and some really crazy twists and turns! The story was very interesting and kept me glued to my kindle! I definitely recommend reading this one! Thank you NetGalley and the publisher for sharing this book with me!
