I received an ARC of this children's book from NetGalley In exchange for an honest review.
This is an adorable book. The pictures are really cute and so is the story!
Red Rover, Red Rover, Send a Vowel Over is the fourth book in the Language is Fun! series. The book follows the little vowels a, e, i, o, and u and how they felt different from the consonants. However, the book demonstrates the importance of vowels in creating words. The illustrations are also bright and colorful, and the book is fantastic for kids.
What a great idea for young children who are learning how to read. I love the concept of this book and the others in the series. It really teaches basic learning to read knowledge that is not easy to grasp initially for some kids. This is a great way to supplement their learning while also having a fun story to go along with it. I love the illustrations and the little story that goes with this vowel book.
Highly recommend for any 3,4, or 5 yr old. I also read it to my 3 yr old and he loved it - so it's not a bad way to start learning.
4.5 Stars 🌟
I loved this one! As a teacher the concept of vowels is one of my favourite to teach. I enjoy getting children excited about reading and writing and one of the very first lessons is about the importance of vowels. This book explains it in a fun and friendly way and is sure to keep the, entertained while they are learning. A definite must have in any classroom library. Highly recommend!
This was a really cute little picture book to show new readers about vowels and how important they were! This was a fun book, and I would definitely recommend it for home and school libraries!
Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for the advanced digital reader's copy (ARC) in exchange for an honest review!
This book offers an appealing way to teach young kids about the importance of vowels. A, E, I, O, U are not sure that they will be comfortable playing with the consonants because, as vowels, they are different. Kids will learn why and why letters want to be friends with them.
This book is a title in a good series that teaches kids some basics about grammar.
Many thanks to NetGalley and Familius for this title. All opinions are my own.
This is the second book I've read by this author and I think it's just as smart!
I love how it teaches word structure and why vowels are different than consonants while also giving a message about accepting each other and working together as a team.
The illustrations are really cute and colorful, perfect for kids!
As I said in my previous review, it is the perfect book to have in classrooms and libraries to teach children.
*Thanks to NetGalley uk, the publishers and the author for the ARC*
Red Rover, Red Rover, Send a Vowel Over is a silly picture book about letters who need the vowels to come play with them in order to form words. I loved the way this book not only focused on word structure and the importance of vowels, but also had a message of accepting everyone regardless of their differences. The illustrations are SO cute, and I would definitely recommend this one to kiddos learning about words.
Thanks to NetGalley, Kimberlee Gard, and Familius for the chance to read and review this review copy!
“Everything is better with vowels!”
The vowels always feel like they stand out and never fit in with the other letters because they are different. When a fun game of Red Rover starts on the playground, they get nervous about how they will be treated until a special friend reminds them how important they really are.
This is such a fun way to teach the importance of vowels to children, and I think this would be such a great resource in classrooms and at home.
I really loved this mix of a classic playground game with spelling. I thought it was such a fun and unique way to show children why we need vowels. The illustrations are really nice and do a great job of telling the story.
A cute, educational book about the importance of vowels. The illustrations are bright and colorful, but in a non-overstimulating and pleasing way. It's a fun way to teach which letters are vowels, sometimes 'y', and that you need vowels to make words. I think this book would be best for the 5-7 year old range. My only little gripe is the tail on the 'i', it just looks a little off to me. like maybe it should be pointing the other way or gone altogether.
This is such a cute story that will make learning vowels for my little one fun. The pictures are bright and fun to look at the the story is sweet. This book is part of a series that aids with discussing basic reading skills. I love it! I will be using these stories in my own lessons. I love how it highlights the letter y and how it can sometimes be both a vowel and consonant. This book could certainly be a great addition to any grade school classroom.
This book is another grammar book for kids. This one is all about vowels and follows the school of letter again.
This book is cute and I liked it! It teaches kids important things about grammar and language. It also has cute pictures that kids will like. I think kids will continue this one and the rest of the series.
Thanks so much to netgalley and Familius for the arc of this one in exchange for an honest review!
Who needs vowels when you have consonants? Well, we all do. Without vowels, we do not have words and this book makes that point very clearly and teaches, along with other books in this series, the basics of grammar and language, and it does so painlessly. The writing and the illustrations are spiffy (sometimes y, eh) and all of these books are thoroughly engaging reads. Let's hear it for a , e, i, o, u and sometimes y!
