Blurb from Goodreads: Dating is hard. Especially when you find yourself smack in the middle of someone else's bad breakup.

This book was unexpectedly adorable and I really enjoyed reading it. It caught my attention from the very beginning and kept me entertained throughout the entirety of the read.

This is a closed-door romance that does not feature anything beyond sweet kisses. It is a magical realism book and it is done very well. Magical realism can be very hit or miss and this one was a hit for me.

The setting is an inn in St. Augustine, Florida. As a florida resident who has visited St. A a few times, this was geographically accurate and it was fun to hear more about the oldest city! I wish Dream Keeper Inn was real, because an inn that gives you dreams that come true in real life?! So freaking cool!

For July, the Dream Keeper Inn is basically her entire world…until her new friend John comes along. His public breakup happens in the lobby to her Inn and she is thrown directly into the path of this man who is heartbroken over the loss of not only his partner, but his best friend, with whom his girlfriend was cheating on John with. Their friends to lovers story is beautiful, heartwarming and is a great example of overcoming loss.

This book was a great read and I would recommend it to other readers of this genre. My only small bit of criticism is that the ending, while tied up nicely in a little bow, was very rushed. It is such a small thing, however, and it did not affect my rating of this book.

A very cute story of dreams coming true, what real friendship is and falling in love. July who runs a Bed and Breakfast is smitten with a customer, John, who is coming off a bad breakup. At first, she sets out to cheer him up, and when he leaves, she doesn't think she will hear from him. But lots of texts and phone calls create a bond, and when they kiss, John realizes July may be the girl for him. Now he just needs to figure out the three hour drive between their homes.

3⭐
I just lovee july and her Dream Keeper inn.
Everything about this book is so sweet. It's a little too rushed and there's is no plot but i liked it mostly for it's cozy vibes. 🤎🤎
It's a clean light-hearted rom-com, with found family and small town romance.
The friendships in this book was so good too!!

And i know john is obviously blonde (i mean he's literally on the coverr!) But he was with dark hair in my head. I couldn't imagine him any other way😭.

Thanks to NetGalley and Stephanie Erickson for the opportunity to read this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

July's Dream is the latest installment in the Calendar series, and it stands perfectly on its own. If you love humorous and heartfelt stories, this one is for you! July, the owner of the Dream Keeper Inn, runs a place with a mystical quality, granting guests dreams that eventually come true. John, who has had his heart shattered, finds himself in July's lobby. Despite her best friend's warnings not to fall for the tall, brooding, and handsome man whose girlfriend was caught cheating, July can't help but catch feelings for him. As they spend more time together, they see how much they mean to each other.

The characters are sweet, and the bonds of friendship that connect the group are evident. While the magical elements are subtle compared to other books in the series, they still add charm to the story. This book features found family, witty banter, small-town romance feels, and a friends-to-lovers theme. It also hints at a new character for the series, giving me all the fall feels. Please note that it includes themes of infertility and miscarriage among secondary characters, so read with care if these topics are sensitive for you.

I really enjoyed this read and am a big fan of the Calendar series. Thank you to Stephanie and NetGalley for the ARC; all thoughts and opinions are my own.

"July's Dreams" is a cute little romance novel. July runs a quaint Inn that has a unique feature. Sometimes a guest will have a vivid dream that later comes true. her life is full with her friends and her work and she doesn't mind that romance seems to have passed her by. When her guest suffers a bad breakup, she reaches out to be a much needed friend, never dreaming that more will come of it. This is a swee,t clean, slow build romance, complete with witty banter, friendship and magic. Although this novel is part of a collection of romantic comedies by the author, I would not call this one a rom-com. The secondary plot deals with July's best friend's infertility issues. That may be a trigger topic that some readers wish to avoid. For the rest of the readers, that storyline was counter-balanced by the main romantic plotline and lots of humor in the story. I received an electronic early reader's copy of this book from the publisher. However the opining in this review are entirely my own. I loved "July's Dream" and can't wait to read more of the author's Calendar Girl novels.

Thank you to NetGalley, Victory Editing NetGalley Co-Op and the author Stephanie Erickson for this ARC in exchange for my honest review.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book, I rate it a 4/5 ⭐️. This book is filled with characters that you can’t help but fall in love with. I absolutely ate this up!

A major positive for me was the way the book slowly unfolded, it didn’t feel rushed, it felt like a natural way for the book to flow. It gave found family, Gilmore Girls/Hallmark movie vibes (in the best way) with the small town romance/inn as well.

I really enjoyed the fact that there was the aspect of magic with the dreams, it played a key role and added interesting layers to the book but it didn’t take over the entire thing.

Please note that July's Dreams does touch on infertility and miscarriage among side characters, so if these topics are sensitive for you, please approach with caution.

I am super glad to see there are other books in the Calendar Girl series and I definitely want to check them out!

I would highly recommend this book if you are looking for a book that includes: small town romance, found family, friends to lovers, but also a clean light-hearted cozy rom-com 🫶🏼

Thank you Victory Editing and NetGalley for providing this early copy! I was intrigued by the story line and title. I will say the writing wasn’t my favorite as it didn’t flow at times and felt a little awkward or overly descriptive.. so I’m giving 2 stars just because I wish it was a little easier to read.

The story of July and John who meet when he stays at the Inn she owns runs. Great setting and I liked how it was told from both points of view.

And here I thought these books couldn't get any better. You outdid yourself with this one Stephanie. So you leave crumbs for other characters and that's it. Ahhhh I want more.
Anyhow now this inn I'd love to stay there as well. This story unfolded gradually and that is what I enjoyed most.
It wasn't rushed and even though we were rooting for all the characters it fell into place as it should have.

This story has love, sadness and some funny and even the sarcasm that I love. July was just so content in running the Inn and being their for her guests that she figured love just wasn't in the cards for her. She had the guests and her best friends, she thought what more would she even need.
Her best friend Betty was funny at times and you definitely feel for her and think yes I understand why you are the way you are. She is the one that you want to cheer for always no matter that she was hard on John and judged him to quickly. Her husband Leon was the husband most people would want in their lives, whether as a best friend or brother or husband. He was the true champion of the book. Leon just always knew what to do or say or not do.
I don't want to spoil this for anyone however John was like magic and you didn't even realize it. John is a guest at the Inn who doesn't believe in all the dreams people have there that come true.
John truly seemed to have given up any hope in friends, family and finding the woman of his dreams..
But a stay at the Inn isn't ever just a stay without some kind of magic it seems. Whether good or bad, magic just seems to surround the Inn in more ways then one.

What starts out as just helping a guest out, turns into months of friendship before realizing both July and John can maybe for once dream of something more even. Dreams of anything may be possible.

So um when is the next one?? Ha ha
No but seriously when is it? It's like a series that you want to always go on. Like Buffy the vampire slayer or Gilmore Girls or Babysitters club, Sweet Valley University....
Don't leave me hanging like this. Lmao

This one is a really sweet small-town romance about Chef John and innkeeper Jully. The story evolves from tragedy and friendship into love. Really lovely read.

This book drew me into July Forth’s life, her history, her dreams, her inn and her reality. July owns an inherited house that she’s turned into an inn. Many people who stay there have a dream that comes true soon thereafter. July finally has her own dream. She believes that her dream is about her best friends. Suddenly that dream is dashed and she loses faith in the ability of the inn’s ability with dreams. She meets John Adams, who had his life crushed in front of her. She helps him make it through that disaster and they become friends. John also has a dream, but won’t say anything about it. This book flowed through the plot very smoothly. It was easy to read and hard to put down.

This was the best adventure that I have been on in a long time! Erickson is a creative genius who has created a world that I’d love to jump in to, if I could jump, that is. 😂 July is a sweet and funny mc that had me wishing I ran a magical inn!
John has all the right in the world to be angry and resentful and an overall grump, given his situation, but I’m so glad he was the complete opposite. Finally, a clean romance for this girls magic loving, romantic heart!

It was a really cute story. July owns an inn that is known for the dreams you have while you’re there coming true. John had his heartbroken in the lobby of July’s inn. Theresa two find friendship and love when they least expect it. If you’re looking for a light and cute read I highly recommend. It gave me hallmark movie vibes.

Love love loved this book! Stephanie has once again raised the bar. An Inn that predicts the future of guests via dreams. A romantic breakup, new attraction, friends who are family , new friends who become family, laughter, tears and new ventures. It ended way too soon!
