His truth her lie was fantastic. What a thrill ride. A quick read about a marriage couple. Who is living? Who is telling the truth? You will never know

An anonymous tip brings attention to a shocking discovery. Two bodies are uncovered following a home invasion, and the police notice the knives—one clutched in his hand, the other in hers. Joe and Beth seemed to have an ideal relationship, but every story has multiple perspectives. There’s his version, her version, and then there’s the real story. In this web of deception, only one person can be speaking the truth, right?

I want to start by saying that I really dislike writing negative reviews. I fully appreciate the immense effort that goes into crafting a novel, not just from the author but from everyone involved in the process. Unfortunately, this book didn’t resonate with me. I struggled to engage with it until I reached about 65%, when the story finally gained some momentum. I was initially drawn in by the concept of exploring domestic abuse through a he said/she said lens, but I found myself losing interest. The book tackles some heavy themes, including domestic violence and substance abuse, so I recommend checking the trigger warnings. I was ready to rate it 2 stars until it picked up at that 65% mark, and ultimately, I settled on 3 stars because the ending was quite satisfying.
Thank You @Netgalley and @HarperCollins UK, One More Chapter | One More Chapter for allowing me to review this book

Overall I found this to be a mediocre thriller. While some parts left me questioning what was happening and included unexpected twists that intrigued me, I wasn't a fan of the relationship between the main characters. I felt that the execution of the main plot twist was lacking, which unfortunately took away its shock value and was therefor underwhelming.

Two bodies are discovered in a terrible home invasion after the police receive an anonymous tip off, both the male and female victim have been discovered with knives in their hands. How can this be and who is the victim in this situation and who is the aggressor? The police are very confused by this scene as you can imagine, and they set out to explore the relationships of the two people involved trying to determine what has led to this.
The story is told from two perspectives, Joe Trasker and Beth Stanford. I cannot say I particularly warmed to either character, as we learn more, they are an unlikely match with totally different personalities. Beth has numerous personal issues for which she is receiving treatment, and Joe seemed quite blind and unsympathetic to this while and he is a workaholic and seems to be incredibly focused on himself.
The book moves quite slowly for the first 50% and then things do pick up. You keep guessing and questioning these events. Themes of deception and betrayal are strong with lies and secrets rampant, this is a complicated relationship. The second half of the book gets more exciting which helped me to increase my rating, although I am a fan of Noelle Holten, I do not feel this is her best work but still a fun and quick read and the ending will surprise you.
Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for an advanced copy of the book, all opinions expressed are my own.

This was the perfect thriller for a few wintry nights in! If you're looking for a page turner that pulls no punches, twists this way and that, and leaves you questioning everyone until the very end, then I urge you to pick this up.
The story centres on Joe and Beth. Like other reviewers have said, they both have unlikeable traits, which I found made for very compelling and three-dimensional characters.
The book opens with a graphic set-piece: Joe and Beth are found half-dead in their idyllic village home. The narrative then explores how they found themselves here from each POV.
We learn that Beth is suffering the loss of her beloved father. The portrayal of her grief is poignant and bitter: I appreciated the author's clear honesty and detail about the reality of bereavement. Joe struggles to support her, although, at times, it feels like he is really trying. I enjoyed the subtleties of his seemingly innocuous (sometimes self-centred) decisions and his to-and-fro internal dialogues – this struck me as a very nuanced and brutally realistic portrayal of two flawed people attempting to make things work under difficult circumstances.
The cast of characters had me guessing until the end! I thought I'd guessed who might be behind everything, but, alas, I hadn't. Like I say, this is a great choice for a cup of tea and a thrill-filled night in. It was one of those books I really looked forward to!
Thank you to the publisher for this fantastic ARC in exchange for my honest opinions.

Slow start, confusing, unsatisfying.
It showed promise three quarters of the way through, you’re really not sure who to believe, but I expected a big twist that never came. Don’t get me wrong there was a twist but it really fell flat. A disappointing read - sorry!

His Truth, Her Truth is a solid read that draws you in slowly.
As the title suggests there is always two sides to every story: his side and her side.
The book centres around a home invasion that has gone badly.
Two people lay close to death on the floor: both holding knives.
The story is told in two parts before and after the attack.
The pace for me definielty picked up in the second half and I raced to the end.
The characters are unreliable narrators and I could not decide who to believe which keept those pages turning.
One final twist in the story I did not see coming .

This was a very different read from this author. I found it a little confusing at times but overall I did enjoy it. It was a fast read and I never quite knew who I was able to trust. There were so many secrets and lies between these 2 people who were supposedly in love but not talking to each other how they felt.
I did sympathise with Beth, grief is hard and everybody deals with it differently.I did find parts of it to be a bit repetitive with her drinking. She certainly was an unreliable narrator. Joe wasn’t much better but in a different way. He frustrated me with his need to work instead of look after his fiancee.
The ending was a little disappointing, I was hoping for a little bit more if I am honest. But it was entertaining and easy to read. 3.5 stars
Thank you to Harper Collins UK, One More Chapter for my early copy of this book to read,

I genuinely have no clue what just happened. In theory, this could be quite a compelling plot, but nothing felt connected. This left me incredibly confused by the end, and not in a satisfying way.
I appreciated the fact that Beth was an unreliable narrator - it really did keep me guessing throughout the story. Unfortunately, the execution of the multiple plot points, and the writing, just wasn't for me.
Thank you NetGalley for the free digital copy of this book.

A fast paced thriller read with plenty of twists and turns to keep you on your toes, a great book with an interesting storyline in which I was involved in from the beginning.
Thank you to Harper Collins OMC and Netgalley for this ARC which I can thoroughly recommend.

This book had a great plot with intriguing characters. I’ll definitely be looking out for more from this author.

A fabulous read. Twisty, turny and impossible to review with spoilers.
Kept me on the edge of my seat from the first page to the last.
Highly recommend

Thanks to Netgalley and Harper Collins UK for providing this ARC in exchange for an honest review.
When the book starts, Beth and her fiancee Joe are found on the floor of their home both unconconsious, each with knives in their hands. Then we go back in time to when all the trouble started. Beth's dad unexpectedly passed sending her spiraling back into mental health issues and excessive drinking. Joe tries to be supportive but he is hiding something from Beth and getting fed up with her antics.
This book was ok at best. The first half was really repetitive with Beth getting drunk and being an unreliable narrator. Joe was hiding something and I am not sure what it was even as the book is over. The only things we know he was hiding weren't that big of a deal. Then in the second half, after the altercation at their house, it was a lot of Beth in the hospital claiming she wasn't guilty but not really sure she wasn't guilty because she was drunk all the time. Then it finally got going, but I thought the ending was pretty farfetched. Unfortunately it just didn't work for me.

I was grateful to receive this ARC but unfortunately this book just wasn't for me. The first half of the book spent a lot of time setting up one of the main characters, but in the end it wasn't particularly relevant and it was more of a distraction.
I also struggled to connect with any of the characters and the plot felt chaotic, making it difficult to stay engaged.
Thanks NetGalley and One More Chapter for the opportunity to review this ARC.

Firstly, I have to say, like any book reviewer, I really dislike giving a negative review of any kind, but I always try to be as honest as possible with my book reviews and feel its part of my duty as an ARC reader to be open with my feelings... so here goes.
I was intrigued by the premise as soon as I read it and had high hopes for the actual storyline, but I just could not for the life of me connect with this book at all.
The story is told over alternating viewpoints of couple Beth and Joe. Whilst usually I love dual POVs, this one just seemed to really drag on, through their rather confusing lives, both full of lies, deceit and self preservation, it was difficult to actually work out what was actually going on alot of the time and while on one hand it felt so long winded and like it was dragging on endlessly, it also felt like the plot was way too fast. There are sections where a chapter will end and the next chapter is set weeks ahead, it just didn't naturally or comfortably flow with its pacing.
I personally found the characters unpleasant, unlikeable, and deluded. Not connecting with any character is always a bit of a put off for me, so having two main characters that are both hard to relate to was a problem.
I ploughed through the first half with the hope that it would pick up speed, but in all truth, I found the second half even harder to get through. Whilst there were plenty of twists, I guessed the main ones without too much difficulty.
Personally, this definitely wasn't one for me but hey, neither is marmite!

After being called in for a home invasion, the police finds both Joe and Beth barely alive, both with knives in their hand, and no idea of what happened.
From the very beginning, this was a wild ride; it went in a completely different direction that I imagined, and it just kept turning. While I did find the pacing a little weird at first, and it took me a second to fully get into the story, once I did, I was hooked. I just had to sit down and get through the rest of the book. The second part was definitely better in my opinion, the direction it took surprised me, and it had me on the edge of my seat wanting to see where it would go. It was literally impossible to put down, and I just had to keep going to see where it would go, and the short chapters made it a perfectly bingeable read. Both characters were unlikable and hard to root for, in a way that makes perfect sense for this kind of story. There was no way to know who or what to trust, and it made the experience that much more fun. The writing was very easy to engage with, and overall, it truly was an entertaining, quick, and easy read.
Many thanks to HarperCollins UK, One More Chapter & NetGalley for the eARC. All opinions are my own.

This opens with a bang! There was so much going on throughout that I couldn't put it down with 3 similar situations running simultaneously as the book went on, with all the parallels between them. I found myself really sympathising with one character, then the other, then neither, then both at different times which kept me intrigued. I did work out 2 of the twists beforehand but it didn't spoil it for me as they were revealed slowly at different stages.
I really like this author's style having read other books of hers, and this one definitely did not disappoint.

This book had me on the edge of my seat as I flipped through the pages. There are so many lies, secrets, deceit and name blaming that will have you hooked. I loved trying to figure out who was telling the truth and what was going to happen next.
A definite must read this year.

It seems to a long time since I read a Noelle Holten novel but this one was well worth waiting for. His Truth Her Truth is an outstanding psychological thriller that has a tangled web of lies, betrayal, and deadly secrets.
An anonymous tip off leads the police to a horrifying scene where a couple, Joe and Beth are found dead in their home during what appears to be a home invasion. There are knives in both their hands which causes some confusion. Joe and Beth were thought to be in a solid loving marriage, but as the investigation unfolds, it becomes clear that appearances are deceiving.
It is difficult to identify who is the victim and who is the aggressor as well as the truth behind this tragedy.
Joe and Beth are not just victims and via flashbacks, interviews, and third-party perspectives we learn the complexities of their relationship. The novel is told as we hear alternative narratives of their conflicting truths.
There are some very good characters in this novel and each of them add their insights and opinions to what they believe happened.
His Truth Her Truth tells of both sides of a relationship which features perception and reality as well as the masks worn to hide the truth.
This is a fast paced novel telling a tale from two perspectives that creates a fascinating entertaining read. Lots of twists and turns along the way add to the excitement and suspense as it reaches a shocking conclusion.
I would like to thank both Netgalley and Harper Collins UK for supplying a copy of this novel in exchange for an honest review.

His Truth Her Truth is a psychological thriller in every sense. There is so much messing with your head going on from all sides it's hard to know who is the victim in this tale. Lies, deception, even a little gaslighting is spread through the entire book.
The story is told in two parts and through alternating perspectives. Part one is background information about engaged couple Beth and Joe. Both are selfish and very self centered making them very hard to like. At the end of part one a tragedy occurs, so part two is more of a who dunnnit mystery. There are many twists and more lies and deceit heaped on making it hard to determine who is the victim.
The chapters are short and easy to fly through. I was anxious to see how it all turned out. The story did keep me interested throughout but the ending might have been a little flat. I did enjoy this book and would recommend it to domestic suspense lovers..
