Thank you NetGalley! What a crazy ride of a read. I was drawn into the story immediately. I really felt for the main characters and what they were going through. Even the side story was enthralling

A gripping thriller that kept me on the edge of my seat. Fast paced with the tension lasting until the very end. I would recommend this book.

The story follows Joe and Beth, each offering their own perspective on the unfolding events. The alternating POVs create a sense of suspense and intrigue, as readers are left questioning who to believe. While each character brings their unique background and motivations to the table, the central narrative revolves around a series of dramatic events that tie them together. The psychological depth of the characters adds complexity to the story, making their thoughts and actions an integral part of the suspense.
I appreciated the use of multiple POVs, which effectively kept the reader guessing who to trust. However, the abundance of plot twists made the story feel somewhat chaotic and rushed. Despite this, I enjoyed the thrill of exploring each character’s thoughts and perspectives on the unfolding events. That said, it was relatively easy to deduce the culprit behind the dramatic occurrences.

This was a fantastic psychological thriller, it had that feel that I was looking for and thought the overall concept worked. The characters had that feel that I was looking for and was invested in what was going on with them. It kept me guessing until the end and was really well done. Noelle Holten has a strong writing style.

I liked it! Very short, action packed chapters with enough intrigue and twists to keep me guessing made this an easy, quick, one day read for me. I had to find out with was actually telling the truth.
This is the first Noelle Holten book that I’ve read- it won’t be the last! I look forward to seeking out other titles by this author.
Thank You to NetGalley and HarperCollins UK, One More Chapter for the invitation to read and enjoy this ARC.

The blurb and prologue had me expecting a page turner but unfortunately that wasn't the book I read.
A couple is found after an incident in their kitchen, both on the floor, both holding knives.
The story picks up sometime before the faithful night and we got to see both of Beth's and Joe's point of view and was was happening before that night.
I wanted to like this book but first of all it was too long and I found the plot very dull. The same pattern gets repeated over and over again and there isn't any action happening until near the end of the book, by that point I had already lost nearly all internet to see what actually happened but I finished it because I rarely dnf a book.
* I received an ARC and this is my honest opinion.

I am on a streak of "unpopular opinion" reviews. Again, the premise sounded interesting for this book and that's why I requested an ARC for an honest review. Both main characters are highly unlikely, even though they end up from each other....
My biggest issue with this book is just when it was getting good, all the reveals were so predictable and automatic deduction of stars IMO. This book was just a big, fat NO for me.
I cannot recommend but I am sure there will be other readers will get more enjoyment/thrill out of this book than I did.
Thanks to Netgalley, Noelle Holten and Harper Collins UK 1 More Chapter for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

This is the story of Beth Stanford and her fiancé Joe Tasker. The book opens at the crime scene where they have been found in their kitchen lying in pools of blood and each holding a knife. What has happened to cause such carnage? Told in multiple timelines, and from both POV’s, the story then goes back in time as we learn the history of their relationship, but from two unreliable narrators you get “his truth, her truth” but what is the actual truth?
Briefly, it’s clear that both characters are dealing with stressful situations. Both work in caring environments, Joe is finding his job challenging and Beth has turned to alcohol as a comfort following a number of traumatic events. But they still seem loving to each other until the arguments starts. And then we come to a climactic moment which will change lives forever.
It is a story of alcoholism, psychosis, coercive manipulation and love all mixed up resulting in a mental and physical storm. With an ending to shock this is spine tingling stuff. Devious, twisted and absorbing and a great read.

Gritty. Dark. Twisty. There are always two sides of a story, well there can be more than two. I find it fascinating when I read or listen to a story from different perspectives. If no one is lying, the stories can both seem equally real and true, because that's the way life goes. Then there is the actual unbiased truth, but who's there to tell that story? This is a book that messes up your mind, and I love those!

The blurb of this book was short and interesting. The beginning of the book started off very slow with us getting to know Beth and Joe then in part 2 we started into the investigation of the crime. While this part was fast paced I found there to be gaps that didn't make sense to me. There were some twists that I did enjoy however I felt that the ending was rushed and didn't wrap every thing up. Over a solid 3 stars.
I will be checking out more books by Noelle Holten.

I have pretty high expectations for the thrillers I read - I want to be shocked by the plot twists. But I easily guessed who the villain was and was right. I will admit, I was hooked early on, and in the first half I was unsure of what/who to believe, but it became quite obvious near the end. The ending itself was soo abrupt and not at all surprising. Also, the way the timeline is set up is very unorganized, but that's just a small complaint in the grand scheme of things. Thank you Netgalley for the ARC.

This book was really good. I had no idea where it was leading me but i couldn't put it down. I read it in less than 24 hours. I did drop it a star because the characters to me felt older than 34, i kept thinking they were n their 50s or 60s and had to keep reminding myself they were my age. But overall it was great.

I really enjoyed this book by Noelle Holten. Set over 2 parts it builds up well into a really good ending. I did figure out the end but not early enough to spoil it.

His Truth Her Truth is a domestic thriller that skirts around being a true "thriller". While this was an interesting premise, I had a hard time following the storyline. Time and perspective jumped often and the pace was somewhat off - both slow and rapid. I personally was not a fan of the neat little bow that concluded the storyline, however, I think I am in the minority.
While this book may not have been for me, I admire that the author was able to construct a complex web of characters and had me really questioning what could be trusted. Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for an advanced copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

I loved this book. There were a few times I thought I figured it out, nope! I enjoyed the back and forth with the characters, there were some big surprises. I was a bit disappointed with the ending,. I thought it would be a bit more shocking. Lol

I’ve rounded up to 4 stars might be more of a 3.5. In part 1 of the book we get to know Beth and Joe. Beth grieving fiercely for her father’s death sends her into self destruction mode. Part 1 is very slow build, maybe a bit too slow. Part 2 dives into the investigation and the whole who done it. It wasn’t necessarily predictable but yet it became very clear towards the end. Writing was good, chapters short, a solid read and would read more from the author.
Thank you NetGalley and One More Chapter for the ARC and the introduction to a new author for me.

There are two sides to every story and this book had the potential to be a perfect example of a his vs hers stance. Beth and Joe are engaged but after the loss of Beth’s father and the grief that she is experiencing, problems begin to rise to the surface.
The prologue was perfectly gripping - it was short and to the point but whilst pulling you in, making you want to keep reading. This gave me extremely high hopes for what was to come, however I thought the book really dragged on. For over half of the book I felt like the author teased that twists were going to happen but then nothing actually came to light. I had gotten through around 60% before I felt like anything much actually happened and even then it felt somewhat chaotic and rushed, whilst also feeling sort of boring and repetitive.
I found Beth to be an extremely frustrating character and even considering what she was going through, I couldn’t empathise with her due to how frustrating I found her to be.
I had high hopes for this book based on the description but I was very underwhelmed. I try to avoid leaving negative reviews however I felt bored throughout reading this book and even considered DNF’ing it which is something I never do. Thank you NetGalley for my ARC.

Joe and Beth appear to live the good life, they have a home, fulfilling jobs - he heads up a family charity, she's a paralegal. But they are found together covered in blood, moribund, a knife in each of their hands. Beneath the skin Beth had a rackety upbringing with an absent alcoholic mother and still suffer from anxiety and panic attacks; Joe's from a well off family but his charity has money worries. Curiously neither of them is particularly likeable. However its a complex, winding plot with plenty of action - Beth gets knocked out so many times I lost count. In the end its a near perfect crime - but whodunit?

As with most things in life, there are two sides to every story and there certainly is in this publication.
Billed as a psychological thriller, this book promised much but ultimately in my view didn't deliver all I hoped it would and if I'm brutally honest I called the plot after about 60%.
In short a decent enough read, but nothing spectacular.

The idea for the story was good but it wasn't executed very well. The story line itself was fast paced but there were too many gaps and bits that just were just unbelievable.
