Firstly, I have to say, like any book reviewer, I really dislike giving a negative review of any kind, but I always try to be as honest as possible with my book reviews and feel its part of my duty as an ARC reader to be open with my feelings... so here goes.

I was intrigued by the premise as soon as I read it and had high hopes for the actual storyline, but I just could not for the life of me connect with this book at all.

The story is told over alternating viewpoints of couple Beth and Joe. Whilst usually I love dual POVs, this one just seemed to really drag on, through their rather confusing lives, both full of lies, deceit and self preservation, it was difficult to actually work out what was actually going on alot of the time and while on one hand it felt so long winded and like it was dragging on endlessly, it also felt like the plot was way too fast. There are sections where a chapter will end and the next chapter is set weeks ahead, it just didn't naturally or comfortably flow with its pacing.

I personally found the characters unpleasant, unlikeable, and deluded. Not connecting with any character is always a bit of a put off for me, so having two main characters that are both hard to relate to was a problem.

I ploughed through the first half with the hope that it would pick up speed, but in all truth, I found the second half even harder to get through. Whilst there were plenty of twists, I guessed the main ones without too much difficulty.

Personally, this definitely wasn't one for me but hey, neither is marmite!

After being called in for a home invasion, the police finds both Joe and Beth barely alive, both with knives in their hand, and no idea of what happened.

From the very beginning, this was a wild ride; it went in a completely different direction that I imagined, and it just kept turning. While I did find the pacing a little weird at first, and it took me a second to fully get into the story, once I did, I was hooked. I just had to sit down and get through the rest of the book. The second part was definitely better in my opinion, the direction it took surprised me, and it had me on the edge of my seat wanting to see where it would go. It was literally impossible to put down, and I just had to keep going to see where it would go, and the short chapters made it a perfectly bingeable read. Both characters were unlikable and hard to root for, in a way that makes perfect sense for this kind of story. There was no way to know who or what to trust, and it made the experience that much more fun. The writing was very easy to engage with, and overall, it truly was an entertaining, quick, and easy read.

Many thanks to HarperCollins UK, One More Chapter & NetGalley for the eARC. All opinions are my own.

This opens with a bang! There was so much going on throughout that I couldn't put it down with 3 similar situations running simultaneously as the book went on, with all the parallels between them. I found myself really sympathising with one character, then the other, then neither, then both at different times which kept me intrigued. I did work out 2 of the twists beforehand but it didn't spoil it for me as they were revealed slowly at different stages.
I really like this author's style having read other books of hers, and this one definitely did not disappoint.

This book had me on the edge of my seat as I flipped through the pages. There are so many lies, secrets, deceit and name blaming that will have you hooked. I loved trying to figure out who was telling the truth and what was going to happen next.

A definite must read this year.

It seems to a long time since I read a Noelle Holten novel but this one was well worth waiting for. His Truth Her Truth is an outstanding psychological thriller that has a tangled web of lies, betrayal, and deadly secrets.
An anonymous tip off leads the police to a horrifying scene where a couple, Joe and Beth are found dead in their home during what appears to be a home invasion. There are knives in both their hands which causes some confusion. Joe and Beth were thought to be in a solid loving marriage, but as the investigation unfolds, it becomes clear that appearances are deceiving.

It is difficult to identify who is the victim and who is the aggressor as well as the truth behind this tragedy.

Joe and Beth are not just victims and via flashbacks, interviews, and third-party perspectives we learn the complexities of their relationship. The novel is told as we hear alternative narratives of their conflicting truths.
There are some very good characters in this novel and each of them add their insights and opinions to what they believe happened.
His Truth Her Truth tells of both sides of a relationship which features perception and reality as well as the masks worn to hide the truth.

This is a fast paced novel telling a tale from two perspectives that creates a fascinating entertaining read. Lots of twists and turns along the way add to the excitement and suspense as it reaches a shocking conclusion.
I would like to thank both Netgalley and Harper Collins UK for supplying a copy of this novel in exchange for an honest review.

3.5 Stars

His Truth Her Truth is a psychological thriller in every sense. There is so much messing with your head going on from all sides it's hard to know who is the victim in this tale. Lies, deception, even a little gaslighting is spread through the entire book.

The story is told in two parts and through alternating perspectives. Part one is background information about engaged couple Beth and Joe. Both are selfish and very self centered making them very hard to like. At the end of part one a tragedy occurs, so part two is more of a who dunnnit mystery. There are many twists and more lies and deceit heaped on making it hard to determine who is the victim.

The chapters are short and easy to fly through. I was anxious to see how it all turned out. The story did keep me interested throughout but the ending might have been a little flat. I did enjoy this book and would recommend it to domestic suspense lovers..

I really wanted to like this book but i just didn’t?

i found all the characters insufferable and some parts of the story that just didn’t connect or needed. I don’t like to leave negative reviews however, I will say this was not my best read.

It took me weeks just to finish it, and at the end I didn’t care anymore. The starting was so strong and it gripped me at the start but I couldn’t get into the dialogue, it all sounded forced and a way to explain what is going on.

I wish I loved it like anyone else but I just couldn’t get into the weird pacing and how everything went.

Thank you to Netgalley and Harpercollins UK for providing me with early access in exchange for an honest review!

I struggled for the first 57%, the book didn’t really get my attention for this time.
Once past this, I was gripped.
I was SURE Beth was the culprit but kept being led down different paths.
It’s a shame Joe died and the POVs just continued as Beth until the end, I feel maybe the killer could’ve had a POV chapter which doesn’t reveal who they are but just adds unknowing.
I didn’t find any of the characters particularly likeable unfortunately.
Loved the short chapters.
Overall, it was an enjoyable read

This book was a fast read, although the first half was a bit slower paced than the second half.
There was so much packed into the last half and I’m glad it wrapped up the way it did.

I appreciate the world building and all during the first half. It helped me understand the characters a bit more.

This is a mystery/thriller that contains several twists and turns within. There was definitely suspense and it kept me guessing at times as to what was happening.

Thanks to #NetGalley and #HarperCollinsUK #OneMoreChapter for this #ARC. The opinions and views expressed are my own.

I had never read anything by Noelle Holten before, but wow, I am absolutely hooked now! I’ll definitely be reading more of her work in the future.

This book was incredibly well written. The ending had me glued to the edge of my seat trying to figure out what was really going on. The twists kept me guessing right until the last moment. But even now, I’m left questioning: is it her truth or his truth?

For me, this is a solid 4-star read, and I recommend it to anyone. Do yourself a favor and pick this one up!

An Okay thriller. Not bad but also not amazing.

I was engaged through out the thriller. The chapters are short which helped me fly through the book. I just felt like there was all this build up through out the book and then it just fell flat.

I felt like there was all this talk about Joe and his relationship with Beth but we never got a resolution on it. The ending felt sped up and rush.

Wow, Noelle Hilton, you really know how to grab a girl's attention from the first sentence.

Chock full of sharp dialogue, unreliable narration, and troubled characters, particularly one dealing with addiction, this book was so good I couldn't put it down. We know that it ends badly but we don't know how these characters who seem to start to out (kind of) well end up where they do...

And wow, what a great ride...I am RACING to read the rest of your catalogue, Noelle Holten!

Thank you to the publisher for gifting me a copy. It is my pleasure to write an honest review.

His Truth Her Truth begins when Beth and Joe, a perfect couple, are found near death in their blood-soaked home, each clutching a knife. From there the narrative rewinds to unravel the events leading to this moment, alternating between Beth's and Joe's perspectives.

The first half of the book is a slow burner about Beth’s descent into addiction following her father’s death. Joe may or may not be who he claims to be. So now we know it's all a facade... by why? what are they hiding that ended up in both being attacked in their home?

The pace picks up during the second half. Think lots of twists, red herrings, and unreliable narrators leading up to an explosive ending... and "that" epilogue... wow!

This book has a lot of potential, BUT......

The beginning of the book is so slow and repetitive.
Beth & Joe are both such unlikeable characters with so many issues. Neither seems like they could hold down their occupations. They didn't seem like they belonged together as a couple.
The book is too long.
How did the Brewster case fit in?
Too many red herrings.
Even though the chapters were short, it felt exhausting to read. I kept pushing myself to find out how it would end but I lost interest and stopped caring.

I found this quite a tough read, watching Beth's spiral into addiction, I felt for her so much and at times it felt too dark to continue but I'm glad I did because the twists were worth it!

Thanks to Netgalley for the opportunity to review this book, this is my honest opinion

HIS TRUTH HER TRUTH is a psychological thriller by bestselling author Noelle Holten. I was fortunate to receive an advance reader copy of this book from the publisher via netgalley.

Her Standalone novels include:
6 Ripley Avenue (2022)
His Truth Her Truth (2025)

This is my review of His Truth Her Truth.

This novel centers around a home invasion gone terribly wrong. An anonymous call results in the discovery of two bodies, with one knife in his hand… and one in hers. But with faint pulses…they were both alive.

The novel is divided into two parts: Part 1 deals with what led up to the attack, starting with the death of Beth's father, and her fiancé, Joe's relationship breaking, while Part 2 deals with the search for the truth.

I recognize that some readers found the story line to drag in Part 1, but I found it to be the opposite, as this added depth to the character development. "His Truth Her Truth" is a page-turner that keeps your mind active, questioning who's telling the truth and who's not.

The book flips between Joe's and Beth's viewpoints, forcing the reader to determine what is true and who can be trusted.

Joe and Beth appeared to have the perfect marriage. But there are two sides to every story. His truth. Her truth. And the actual truth. Not everything is as it appears.

This is a well-written novel with short snappy chapters, with clear dialogue, and well-developed characters. This novel deals with trust, betrayal and the discovery of the truth. A great read!

Many thanks to the author, Collins Publishers and NetGalley for my digital copy.

First, thank you to Noelle Holten and her team for this ARC.

This is my first book by her, and it absolutely won't be the last. There's always 3 sides to the truth: his side, her side and the middle ground where the truth actually lays. This story gives you all of the sides, plus one. You think you know, then you think you're wrong, and the actual ending is the truth. The ending was satisfying, with believable characters. The plot line is a little outside the box, but it works for this novel. Highly recommend reading it!

After reading the description of this book I was looking forward to reading it. Unfortunately for me I didn’t like it. There was not one character that I liked. I found them all to be annoying, from Beth and Joe, to her mom and Aunt Kay. The first 25% of the book dragged on and on about her drinking. I did finish it just to see how it all turned out. It overall felt chaotic to me and just made for an unpleasant reading experience. Thank you to NetGalley and HarperCollinsUK - One More Chapter for the ARC.

HIS TRUTH HER TRUTH BY NOELLE HOLTEN.
Release date set for the 1st of March 2025.
My first time reading this author.
The blurb for this sounded so good and I couldn't wait to start reading.
The first half of this book is very slow paced which isn't something i typically enjoy.
The second half of the story does pick up a lot more.
There's a fair few twists and turns.
I didn't like either of the main characters Joe or Beth.
