Definitely an amazing and useful tool, and I stumbled across it at the perfect time - just as I was trying to do research on a proper way of writing reviews. Being a new reader, and excited to read more and more as I go, this toolkit was perfect for not only someone like me - a new reader -- but also a long time reader/reviewer as well!

Well this isn't really a book book that one needs to review but it was super helpful so thank you very much and I look forward to more brilliance from NetGalley.

If you are just starting out as reviewer for NetGalley or book review systems, this toolkit is a great place to start. Easy to read, visually appealing and a helpful overview of what to do and not do as a reviewer.

This guide was very useful to understand how Netgalley works. As a first time user, I appreciated the engaging way this manual delivered its key points in a easy to digest manner. I now feel more confident and comfortable with how to using this service.

We Are Bookish has put out so many helpful resources for reviewers who are just getting started. I really wish I had been immediately assigned this when opening a NetGalley account. (Maybe it should be included as a read now link when sending initial NetGalley account emails lol). I was winging it so hard when I first started reviewing and was constantly looking at resources created by other influencers, reviewers, and sources. If I had this when I first started it would have been SO helpful. Lots of great tips for anyone who reviews and utilizes NetGalley regularly. Will be a great reference tool to keep and share with others who are just starting!

This was such a lovely way to be introduced to the ins and outs of NetGalley—it’s all a bit overwhelming at first, but this guide broke it all down to an easily understandable set of tips and tricks.
The graphic design really supported the text well—not something I would usually point out, but it really made a difference here.
This guide is perfect for anyone just beginning to dive into the world of NetGalley.

Having looked at the 2024 Reading Journal and finding it incredibly similar to the older version (albeit with improvements to colour and readibility), I expected the same here - but that is not the case!
This Booklet contains far more information than NetGalley's previous version of it, so already this will be very promising for users both old and new! This contains screenshots of the NetGalley interface so users can understand how to navigate around. And they have some excellent examples of how to write things: like how to write a compelling book review (bonus that they used Pride and Preudice as an example, one of my favourite Austen books) or a profile for what kind of reviewer type you are. This will be super helpful to newbies on the scene!

I love how helpful this advocate toolkit is! I have to leave a review to bring my percentage rate up :)

The NetGalley Toolkit is a practical and well-structured guide for book reviewers and influencers looking to optimize their profiles, write effective reviews, and engage with publishers. It provides clear and actionable tips, such as how to craft a professional bio, highlight bookish reach, and ensure links are up-to-date. The book review tips are especially helpful, reminding reviewers to focus on plot summaries, audience relevance, and personal voice while avoiding spoilers and proofreading mistakes.
With a clean layout and concise advice, this toolkit is a valuable resource for both new and experienced reviewers who want to build credibility and strengthen their connections with publishers. If you’re active on NetGalley, this is definitely worth a read!

This guide is very helpful, but seems strange to have to review the user guide to keep my feedback ratio up.

I found this helpful like app the materials I’ve gotten from we are bookish. I appreciate the help that’s offered to help get better at using netgalley. Thank you for the opportunity to read this.

The Book Advocate Toolkit was a very helpful guide to understanding how to navigate NetGalley and what publishers and authors are looking for. Understanding the feedback ratio was my biggest takeaway. Thank you!

As someone who recently started using NetGalley, it helps a lot and I regret not reading this sooner.
It provides a thorough insight into how NetGalley works. I didn't know I needed this and it helped me a lot. I hope I can use the tips in writing more insightful reviews in the near future.

Really useful guide to start your journey here on NetGalley, it has all the information you need and the illustrations makes everything more understandable and funny to read.

Thank you so much for providing this guide! It's a great introduction to NetGalley to help ease the first-review jitters. I especially liked the DNF chart and the writing a review guide.

Wonderful resource for new users! It contains of good tips on how to present yourself and how to use the platform. I would recommend it for all users to review.

This was very helpful as a new reader and reviewer on NetGalley! This gave me tips to make my bio more approachable and informative to publishers. It also gave insight on the "will not review" feature if there was a DNF.

This was an incredibly helpful resource for learning how to navigate NetGalley and the best way to succeed using the platform and connecting with publishers. Thank you to We Are Bookish for putting this together. I'm excited to take the next step in my book-reviewing and content-creation journey.
