This is a well laid out guide for NetGalley users, whether you’re new to the site or have been using it a while. I wish I’d had this when starting out! It’s full of helpful tips to improve your NetGalley experience, as well as links to more comprehensive articles.
There’s a guide to using the NetGalley Shelf app, and lots of great tips for improving your profile.
I also now know what the orange pencil next to some of my reviews means (and it’s something really cool!).
After reading NetGalley's Book Advocate Toolkit I made some changes to my profile in order to better reflect my personality. The PDF was helpful because I understand what the publishers are looking for when they allow us readers access to advanced copies (digital and audio). Recommend to anyone who wants to continue improving being a stronger book advocate.
This guide helped make my bio and reviews more thorough and interesting. It gave me a better understanding how to navigate the website as well as what the publishers and authors are looking for. The most helpful part (besides review tips) was the chart regarding DNF’ing a book. It helped me understand when to use the “will not give feedback” feature.
