This is a great book to help reviewers get started on NetGalley, quick and easy to read. A must read for all new and existing reviewers. Highly recommend. Thanks to We Are Bookish for providing the title to read and review. All opinions are my own.
I found this guide to be really helpful.
I liked having something to refer to. It had been some time since I had considered by profile and the way I review books.
After reading, I update my profile and I now spend more time giving a considered review, rather than doing the immediate response type of review, i.e. this is what I think/feel straight after I finish reading it.
SOOOO helpful! I was able to be part of a launch team a few months back through NetGalley but I am just now exploring all there is here with reviewing books. I appreciate this quick guide to help me as I am apart of another book launch team. This guide would be helpful to anyone new to the platform. I will definitely be downloading the social media handbook next.
Helped in writing my first negative review. I gave a 3-star rating to a book that was the latest of a series of nine books. The characters from the first eight would be mentioned, but never filled out. It felt like I was reading a soap opera. I did not put that in the review. I did suggest in the review that the books be read in order.
Great food for thought. Plenty of helpful tips and for varied platforms. Looking forward to integrating them in to my posts. Thanks.
This was so helpful, I am still learning about reviews and this gave me not only tips but suggestions on how to give reviews and word them what to say and not to say,
"NetGalley's Book Advocate Toolkit" is the perfect first step in learning how to navigate NetGalley. This brief "how-to" is filled with graphics, links, and other resources to help learn the ins and outs of NetGalley.
Being new to #NetGalley and the world of ARC reading and reviewing for publishers and authors alike, this toolkit is a life saver. NetGalley's #BookAdvocateToolkit is full of amazing tips and tricks to help your profile standout to the publishers you would like to attract. I recommend this helpful pdf toolkit to anyone who wants to grow more in their advocacy for all things book related.
NeGalley’s Book Advocate Toolkit is everything you need to start your book reviewer journey. Easy to read. Insightful. Very helpful when getting started.
This was very helpful and I’m grateful to have it. I wish it was available as a resource separate from the rest of the other books available for reading and review. I signed up quite a while ago and was unsure how to best use NetGalley, so these kinds of guides would be really helpful in a separate onboarding/user guide.
I read this to get a better idea of what is expected of me as a book reviewer and tips to become a better reviewer. The information within the packet was very helpful and I gained a better understanding of my role.
Although I have been reading and reviewing on Netgalley for years now, this is a very concise and helpful tool to help anyone that needs a refresher or anyone starting out. It gives you tips and tricks for your bio, how to request and even withdraw a request if needed., and how to appeal to the publishers you’re wanting to review books for.
Thank you to Netgalley for the book to review.
Very useful! I'm pretty new on this platform, and so this manual was much appreciated. I don't think the more seasoned members will have need of it, though.
This had very useful advice for getting started on NetGalley, and I’m glad I read it! I’ve posted a few reviews already, but still learned a lot.
A clear and concise introduction to netgalley. Well laid out and easy to understand. I gained some useful tips on how to make my profile better.
This is a super useful guide to getting started with NetGalley. But even though I’ve been using NetGalley for awhile, I still found plenty of useful info. I’ll definitely be referring to this guide on occasion!
A helpful guide to NetGalley readers, and the process of reviewing books. From changes to make to spruce up your bio, to even enabling dark mode on the browser, this toolkit has everything for newbies and veterans alike!
Very helpful! Nice to get more info on leaving reviews and what publishers are looking for.
Thanks NetGalley and We Are Bookish!
This is a really helpful guide with lots of great tips for requesting and reviewing ARCs through NetGalley. There's a lot of information about how to spruce up your profile to help increase your likelihood of being approved. Definitely worth checking out if you're looking to boost your NetGalley presence a bit!
I found this super helpful in demystifying how NetGalley works and how better to succeed on the platform. I particularly found the details surrounding creating a profile on the site really insightful, and it certainly clarified for me when to use the function on not providing feedback. Overall, a really helpful little toolkit!
